I guess I am a bit too silent, I can agree to that. I know Mynd hates the "RL-excuse" but *Shrug* Inactivness is a bad reason tho. Why not vote Mogs? She's been silenced, thats true, but she's not anymore, and havent contributed at all really. She apparently could talk to Mynd while she was silenced. What did they talk about? did they figure something out? get any information we might need? And what are the reasons for her pairings? Any particular role she's trying to match up with another?

 

Also, DJ, metagaming like that never helps much. Players here have their own styles, most of the time regardless of roles. F.ex you can always count on Mynd to be loud and accusing, both when he's innocent and when he's mafia. This is why I refuse to put much stock in that kind of reasoning. It doesnt stick at all.

I think the evidence points to Barm being the silencer the more I think about it. You all seem to have forgotten that he voted for DJ the day DJ was silenced. When Barm replaced, we suddenly forget about it...why? Barm came back with a non subsantiated vote against me.

 

It looks so far that those that have laid low have been innocent roles. Danya is quite often quieter than a lot of players, doesn't mean I think she is innocent, but tusing lack of activity at this stage in the game is a bit weak DJ.

 

One thing about Mynd he has been like a bloodhound after you DPR all game. I'm not sure a mafia would do this. I'm still not over my suspicion of you, but Barm and Moggies seem a little above you right now. If what Moggie said is true then the best candidate for the silence is Barm!

We could go on and on weighing the pros and cons of metagaming or of all of the different views that we have - but I'm keeping my vote where it is.

 

I called Moggy out as a liar and voted for her based on that.  She has not bothered to respond and she has been posting on other threads, so we know shes around.

 

To me, this is the best evidence that we have. Everything else is an opinion, a suspicion, or a metagame hunch. Look at Mynd - he goes crazy with the posting. I've been 100% sure that he was mafia before, only to later find he was an innocent. Better to stick with the evidence.

But the fact that Thorum (now Barm) voted for DJ when he was silenced, was a bit odd to say the least. To me that is evidence he accuses DJ, and guess what DJ can't answer. It would explain DJ being silenced and it would also include Moggies account. Also Thorum might well try to silence Mynd to turn usupicion on you, after all he accused you. So since the beginning you and DPR have been at each other. Both DJ and Mynd saw they were in contact with Moggie, so thinking more about it Mynd was a good choice to be silenced. You had called him out for that BArm vote and he had called you out. So either of you would have been a good bet to silence.

 

I hope this is making sense. but we know they were silenced and Thorum then accused DJ (knowing that he couldn't be nightkilled due to a healer), the only way he could get rid of him to stop him viewing the mafia. It may well be DJ has viewed him as noticed his name not on that list of his. It could be he views as innocent.  Now we have no healer DJ is top target tonight.

 

I find this hard, I want to vote for Barm, but we really will have split votes and we wouldn't get a lynch again, and we need to find a mafia!

Since then, DJ posted that he has viewed two innocents, and you know that he had to view Thorum/Barm after Thor voted to lynch him.

 

That's why I have not been chasinf Mynd down as much too - I figure DJ checked Mynd on Day 1 (It was most likely a toss up between him and me, and sice he's not on the suspect list...) and he checked Thorum/Barm on Day 2.

 

So, despite my instincts, I have to look at the situation and say that DJ, Mynd, and Thor/Barm are most likely the three confirmed innocents.

 

That leaves DJ's suspect list  (Moggy, Danya, and me) and Talya.

 

Given the argument I've made against Moggy and the process of elimination, I have to believe that she's our mafia.

 

Seriously, if anyone has a different way of looking at my case - Moggy got all tangled up in a bad story that made no sense, I called her on it and she ran for cover - please point out where I'm wrong.  I'll switch my vote if there is a good reason to (we're guaranteed to lose if we keep letting days go by without a lynch) but right now I just don't see it.

I can see your point about Moggy. I had worked out that DJ most probably viewed Thorum after he had voted for him. With the funny kind of roles we seem to be getting form when people die, I would question whether he actually comes up as mafia, he may well come up innocent when viewed, not unusual for a normal game, let alone this one!

 

But neither Barm, not Moggie have come back and said much at all. You say Barm has spoken after the night, then why hasn't he since. He has been on!

Interesting....of course, one could argue that you are lumping Thormacral in with two innocents to save your buddy. I wonder if there are more healers out there than we think......shame we never revealed what roles we submitted.  ;)

Now, Danya jumps on the Moggy bandwagon.  I find that very interesting indeed....Danya, why not DPR?  Why not Barmathor?  While I wouldn't expect you to vote the same as DJ, our finder, I find it curious that you decide not to vote with one of the folks not on DJ's suspicioun list but rather vote with DPR.  Welcome to Mynd's most wanted! 

 

The fact that no one has called BS on Dark Justice being a Finder leads me to believe 1) someone created exactly such a role, 2) the mafia are buying it, and 3) he has been telling the truth.  According to the Metagamers blog, Dark Justice often tells the truth in these games, even when it makes him look suspicious.  So, i'm on board with him

 

So, assuming that DJ has been telling the truth this whole time, let's recap.  Seven players remain, at least one of them is mafia, if not two or even three.  Dark Justice is voting Moggy, who I agree has given some pretty weak reasons to keep her alive....and she is a craftier player than she pretends to be.  But why would the mafia risk losing one of its own in a lynch?  Hardly time to run Akiva's Gambit when the mafia would be so close to winning.....

 

Danya, while I admit that Moggy's defense was very weak, I find your reasons for voting her equally weak.  You are voting with another person on DJ's shady list instead of with folks he has all but said are known innocents (me!).  When people don't vote with the finder.....they have a good reason.

I am the matchmaker. Every night phase I PM two names to Pandy and for the next phase (that night and day) whatever happens to one of them happens to the other (except lynches). Eg: When I linked with DJ someone targeted us with the silencer power during the night, therefore we were both silenced in the thread for the next day. They can also communicate on a quiktopic link during the day.

On Night 1 I targeted Mynd.

On Night 2 I targeted DJ.

 

In answer to Wes's question, yes I did endanger myself again with my role. Are you trying to deny that me linking with Mynd and then DJ never happened? Ask them, you seem sure that DJ is definitely innocent so you should at least be able to trust him...

You had been indicated in something already to do with silencing, so of course we asked you to reveal what was going on, you had been caught doing whatever you were doing! The only other person to role reveal is DJ, because he had to to tell us that he had found the symp!

Well. I messed up on my idead about the silencers. I had been thinking a lot about it, and changed my mind a bit, without stating it in the thread.

 

After reading it through again, I have to say Ill stick with Danya.

Here's what I see:

 

1. Mynd is intentionally trying to confuse people. DJ's finder claim has gone unquestioned becuase no one counter claimed. And Barm is not a suspect because I think he has already been innocent. I've spelled all of this out before, and you still try to make it look different than it is. I'm less sure now that you have been checked because your behavior is textbook mafia.

 

2.  Moggy is dissembling. She has mastered the art of talking a lot without saying anything. A classic past-time of the less than innocent.

 

3. I have no idea why DJ is voting for Danya - but I'm starting to think that his restriction might include trying to cast shadows over theleast guilty appearing players. I don't know -

 

Out of all today's posts, I see nothing that changes my mind. Moggy is still my vote.
