mk- with the suras game as an...odd exception, especially considering the way day 1 has been...this is like my first game in 6th months and i dont really remember any good ways to go about lynching day 1 =/

 

but i think we should decide to lynch one of those who already has a vote so that way day 1 can actually move along.

 

Now i know this sounds scummish but I'm going join the [glow=red,2,300]Talya[/glow] vote. She's only posted twice and very little at that in the 5 pages, which could be a plethora of real life distractions i realize, but could also be her laying low.

 

I'd also suggest people feel free to vote people other then talya if they feel inclined so we can get a more detailed voting history. Always better information when its a slow widdling down to 2 major people for the lynch rather then 1 big bandwagon.

well it doesn't really progress the game but I'm willing to toss in my hat and let danya loose on this one, after all it is my idea.

I do wish to point out how Catina's vote for Vemy was a bit....well, unnecessary.  In one breath she gets on Vemy's case for pushing for legit votes with Wednesday so far away....but then she goes on and casts a seemingly legit vote on Vemy.

I think you are misunderstanding what she meant.  I think she was questioning that Vemy said "I know this will sound scummish" and then he voted Talya.  She is asking Vemy why he bothered making the vote if it was going to make him look "scummish".

 

On another note, why all the use of the word "scummish"?  I know, I know, this game is also called Scum, but that term was hardly ever used on here until recently....  Who started it?  I'm gonna kick their.....shins.

LOL, thanks Vemy, I have only been able to pop on here for brief moments over the weekend, so haven't had chance to look through the longer threads (which also included the Suras game).

Glad to see Mynd is his usual self, though I noticed no stroking of his moustache when he was an innocent on the Suras Game...hmmm..interesting!

If no clear majority is reached by the deadline I will lynch the person with the most votes on them. If more than one person has the most votes, then I will decide at random who gets lynched amongst those tied for the most votes.

i have a legitimate question.  why does it make a person look scummy if they ask questions and dont follow along with everyone else?  am i not playing the way we are supposed to?

 

verbal thanks for clearing things up with cosmic panda.  i might be the one who started the scummish thing because thats what we called the game when we played it here at church.  it wasnt called mafia it was called scum and we called them cops not finders and docs not healers. 

 

i really think that vemy is trying to lead us with his statements about talya.  he starts off by saying that he knows it looks scummish but he goes and votes her anyway.  am i wrong in this?

Basically, its not realising that each game is random and cannot really be compared to earlier games.

Ok, we are getting close to time and I am not sure when everyone will be around in time to vote.  So, to surprise everyone, I agree with Vemy in that we need to consolidate our votes a little bit though I am getting less of a vibe on Vemy. 

 

I also am a little wary about voting Talya for being inactive though.  Going after an inactive only helps the mafia and usually doesn't give us any information.  I know, I know, this is random Day 1 silliness but I think there are some who have shown their scum already.  (That didn't sound right...)

 

To me, Catina seems the most interesting in that she jumped right on Vemy so fast, especially after accusing Vemy for voting so "soon."  Also, getting defensive about being considered mafia is a big sign.  Light save me, poor old Myndrunner has often been wrongfully accused of being mafia (or scummish) because I have gone against the grain, but I've rarely let it get to me.  No, i think your defensiveness is betraying some guilt there.  No one is really coming at you hard here.....until now.

no guilt here sorry.  i just find that it is incredibly frustrating when people think you are scummish because you dont go along with what people say.  the mafia is going to try and lead us to lynch an innocent and going after talya because she is the least active is a thing that a scum would do. 

 

of course if i sneezed myndrunner would find me mafia.  :D
