Oh Great and Mighty Aes Sedai

Oh Fierce and Strong Warders

Oh ye of Tar Valon

I ask you now to have no fear

As I do raise my voice so loud and clear

To sing now of my penance earned

and of a dear lesson learned

 

Of Dwynwen I did do quite wrong       

And now to her I owe a song            (I went and hit her with a pie)

or closer yet, I owe an ode            (Why I threw it I know not why)

with which I will have borne my load    (Someone Else I must of missed)

once my poem is been an done            (And then the keeper got quite.. angry)

while making no mischief and poking no fun

    An Ode to Dwynwen

 

  Though distant is the memory of her beauteous smile,

  It draws me forth to ponder, quite a goodly while

  Though penance cruel this may seem to thee

  It is but an expression of that which I see

 

  And though I’ve not shown her respect,

    I wish that not to be the case

    For charming is her intellect,

      And lovely is her face.

 

  Oh captivating smile! Thou hast now enchanted me in

  To wanting to know better this lovely Dwynwen

  Those eyes with humour and intellect do shine so brightly

  Making me wish I could gaze into them nightly

 

    I’ve known her for too short a time

      And though her ire I may bait

    Not to learn more would be a crime

        Should I ask for a date?

I'm not quite understand why she made a penance from my hobby of writing, but I guess since she didn't know that.. *shrug*  If you ever need another poem, Dwyn, just ask.  Of course, if you ever want another pie in the face, I'll be happy to oblige with that too *impish grin*

Thanks, Elgee.  :)  You know, I had no idea Ire would go to all the Ajahs to practice for the penance.  It's been a fun surprise going around and reading the things he wrote about all the Ajahs.
