While we're waiting, I just want to mention that Atomic Fireballs are still just as good as they were the last time I had them, like 15 years ago.  This makes me happy.

 

Anyone want to talk about where we should be heading when daylight does finally break?  I have an idea or two (DPR) and we probably should put them on the table (DPR) while we're all still alive.

The waiting alone is killing me. Then BT game flipped from a certain win to a crushing defeat, and stole my mafia mojo. All I need now is to show up dead here and my crappy morning will be perfect. heh

 

For this game, we need to see what happens tonight. The mods have gone on and on about crazy roles and circumstances and we are going to have see some of this in action before we can have any idea as to what's going on. I'm guessing we'll have more than one 'event' tonight. That's about all I got.

Dunno about Alys.. but Barm did a reenactment this past weekend and Krugster (his rl best friend) just told me it nearly did him in.  He may be scarce for a few days while he recovers.. which will be hard when he has to work so much. :(

Are you guessing based on general Barm-Alys-ness and their mention of twist rolls (mmm . . . pretzels), or do you have some inside information that makes you think there's a recruiter?  Either way, that is something to keep in mind, especially later in the game (since most mafia recruiters will wait until someone is well established as an innocent before subverting them)

 

Nobody interested in why I'll be voting DPR come daylight (assuming we're both alive)?  Damn . . . I could come out and say it without prompting, but then I'd just look needy  :-[

But,  since you insist on teasing us, I'm sure everybody would love to hear your reasons, so lay 'em out. And you already used the waffle bit on Thorum, so don't drag that one back out....

Btw, Krug exaggerates. I'm a little sore now (running when out of shape = bad idea the next day), but nothing that'll be taking days to recover from.

Look, its pretty simple.  I have absolutely no reason to think you're mafia.  

 

But that's the problem.  After day 1, I have no reason to think anyone is mafia (well, the mods told us that some people were, but I have no reason to accuse anyone in partic- meh.  You know what I'm saying).

 

In other words, we need information.  As far as I can tell, lynching you is the best way to go about getting it, because of where matters stood on day 1 when you placed your vote:

 

Thorum had 2 votes (me and Nae), Daetirion had two votes (Leelou and Loki), and Verbal had two votes (Vemy & Luthine).

 

Its possible that you are an innocent who simply ended up in a bad spot on a lynch train; in fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's likely.  On the other hand, it's also possible that you are a mafia scum abolitionist and one of our other 2-vote recipients is one of your partners.  So if we lynch you, and you turn out guilty, we'll know to look at Daetirion and Verbal next.  If you're innocent, well, we won't have very much additional information - but I think that's the case for anyone we choose today (an innocent death won't tell us much).

 

So what it comes down to, is that lynching DPR either gives us more information than lynching anyone else would (if he's guilty) or just as much (if he's innocent).

 

So unless someone can point to: 1) a player who's acted so suspiciously that we really think he's mafia; or 2) a player whose coroner results will give us as much or more information as DPRs, I think lynching DPR puts us in the best position to win down the road.
