okay, well, do you remember a phase where cartman had a favorite expression for when people were acting kinda pissy (kyle, for example)?  if you do, look at the quote in alys' sig from loki.

sigh. heh heh.  :P

enough dancing around it.

alys's quote from loki:  a good marriage is like sex on the beach.

and i thought to myself, yeah, she always ends up with sand in her vagina.

if that's too offensive for anyone, please, by all means, delete this post, as it contributes nothing to anything.  :P

the beach....  sand....  ....  i can't explain why cartman thinks that's a good metaphor for a bad mood, but there it is.

If this was day 1 i would be putting a vote on you right now, Dude, for building up hopes and then dashing them so spectacularly

Shame on you sir, shame on you

Here's what I get from yesterday's posts after we got Kivam's death scene:

*Dude is working to ease tension off of himself, and anyone in the hot seat would do the same thing. The trick is, how do you do that? Any experienced innocent knows that the more you speculate, the more reason you give others to lynch you. So, Dude may have chosen to make points all based on evidence. Or, he may have gone for broke and just told us about whatever instincts he has about the game. Yes, he might still be lynched, but if he was innocent than we would believe what he had told us and it could still help the team. But he took neither of those routes. He came in with the subtle, chummy, your-not-still-mad-at-me-are-you? approach. Then the whole joke thing pops up and takes over for a couple of pages. Which makes a nice diversion.

When you are mafia, your only purpose is to confuse the innocents and try to outlive them- see Kivam's final posts for examples of this.

When morning comes we will see what Dude has found. I've been wrong about him before and I would love to see some side-stepped find that proves he's a real finder instead of the obvious choice which will send us back into confusion and debate.

*Dae was the first post after Kivam, which is weird given what he said. How does Kivam being lycnhed as mafia change everything? It didn't change much for me. Anybody else?

*Luthine continues to bring up good points, and calls Dae on this. I'm liking her no-nonsense style and ability to cut through the haze by bringing up evidence.

*Verbal's late vote is totally strange. Why bother? The only reason I can come up with to do that is to try and communicate something to someone. Any other thoughts here?

*May reveals as a Thief. Boyo naturally counters with skepticism. In May's favor, she was in on the Kivam lynch. She is also acting like there is no doubt in her mind that she can prove her claim, and sh'e played enough games to know that she's going to have go with the popular vote or get lynched herself. I have a hard time believing that an evil would reveal this role for no reason and give up control over their votes.  Which naturally makes me wonder about Boyo. A low-layer who pops up to throw a shadow on a potential innoncent double voter. I'll grant you, we have bigger fish to fry, but let's keep this one in the evidence file.

And on that note - innocents - don't reveal unless you have to or unless you feel like you have information that is important to the game. If May is a Thief, then that is good to know - it cuts down on time we would have wasted trying to figure out those votes and it gives us a peek into the mechanics of the game.  But, if she is confirmed she also becomes a prime target for the mafia to night kill.  If you have a good point to make, try to make it without revealing. I've mentioned this before, which is what makes me wonder about Verbal, but it can also be used agianst us. Be careful!

Last, Alys has used 3 posts to taunt us. She is holding back information and predicting a "storm", so we know that something is coming. Let's do the best we can to keep things from getting any more murky and look out for the players that would go in the opposite direction.

I see your point about me, Wes.  Honestly, I felt that the dude was deflecting attention away from himself, and you are pointing out pretty much the same thing right now.

Granted, this does not mean he is mafia, but I did place a vote on him to make a statement.  I knew he wasn't going to get lynched, as he still is a potential finder.  That statement was simply to make sure that we didn't let him deflect too much attention, as that could be even worse for the innocents.  I am not sure about his affiliation, but I am leaning slightly towards mafia.

I don't want the finder lynched either, but I'm trying to think of a better way around this.  I only see 2 potential conclusions to this:

1.  the dude is somehow cleared, and we proceed with his good information

2.  the dude gets lynched, and we find out the truth either way

The problem with #2 is obviously if he is the finder, that sucks.  If somebody has a better idea, I'm totally for it.  On another note, if Jelly is a wacky finder, we could still put that to good use even if the dude isn't around.  Now, if they are BOTH playing us and are mafia, then we lynch them both and call it a day.  Or two.  :D

Longest. Night. Ever.

*sighs*

Since no one else claimed, at least one of them has to be innocent. Game would be too unbalanced if they were both Mafia.

Then again, these mods of ours seem evil enough to drag this night through the whole week, there's no saying what they would do... :P

And guys, if dude were Mafia, how would you explain the whole Kivam thing? Maybe I was quick assuming he was the real thing after he got Kiv right but I don't see it...
