ok lookn for peoples ideas on the last battle and what will happen from it

am sorry if this topic has been done b4

i think that rand and LTT will fight the dark one and win, however suffer grave wounds and die. although because the aelfin or the eelfin (i cant remember) said to live he must die so i think nynaeve will finaly cure death and bring him back to life.

Logain will kill Taim

Nyneave will kill Moghedien

Aviendha will kill mesaana or Semirhage

Min will kill Fain

gd Asha'man will kill the bad Asha'man

Matt will kill a female forsaken

not sure bout the rest

Min will kill Fain

UNQUOTE

No way!!! I would be gutted if Min killed Fain. I want Fain to kill someone significant.

I think it would be great if Moiraine killed Mesaana. Moiraines return is what I am looking forward to most I think, apart from seeing how Rand lives after dying.

Personally, I look for Moiraine to kill Lanfear/Cyndane again. Poetic justice, I'd call it ;)

As far as Rand "dying", I still cater to the idea that his "death" will actually be a transformation similar to how Isam and Luc merged to become Slayer. At the point that those two merged, both Isam and Luc ceased to exist, becoming a single brand-new entity.

I look for something like that to happen with Rand and LTT. To me, that would be a perfect fulfillment of the prophecy, because while Rand would technically still be alive, he would not be the same Rand that is being slowly driven mad by the disembodied voice from a past life. Rather, he would be something "more".

A la Nash ;)

If Fain does kill Isam we had better see it! (not like the fight between Couladin and Mat, I was so GUTTED when we didnt see that!!!)

I want Rand and Moridin to have a one-on-one, and I want Moridin to seriously wipe the floor with Rands face. Obviously Rand must win, but I want him to take the biggest beating in that fight that we have seen him take.

I NEED Demandred to do something good!

i tink min will kill fain caus she failed to kill him last time and he nearly killed rand so this time she will kil him although he will kill som1 important

i hav a feeling that cadsuane will die to protect rand and that will make him cry for the first time in a long time- that will be the lesson she will teach him

ya i think Moiraine will kill lanfear cept moiraine will die after

ur idea on rand merging is smart cept i tink rand WILL die because nynaeve mentioned how she wanted to be able to cure death and if she could cure the "irreversible" stilling, then death is an option.

yeah obviously rand will kill morridin, and i think demandred will come close to killing rand cept morridin will kill him.

and i tink it is possible that the forsaken will turn on each other- fain will also try to kill them cause he is obsessed wid killn rand.

One word. Punctuation.

I will be disapointed if Moridin kills Demandred. I came up with a theory of how Demandred will die a while back.

Early book 12 Rand sends Logain to check up on the Black Tower. When Logain arrives, he is surprised to see Rand already there, acting unusually pally-pally with Taim, patting him on the shoulder with the hand that shouldnt be there.

"Hows the hand, boss?" Logain asks. Rand looks confused, Logain figures out it isnt really Rand, and attacks him. They battle, Logain being the victor, and as someone touches "Rands" body it begins to change, as if an Illusion was dispelled, and there lies the carcass of the one and only Demandred. This sparks Taims anger, which he doesnt manage to hide before Logain figures out something else is wrong. Logain and Taim fight, Logain wins, the Black Tower situation is resolved, and Logain earns his bluey-silver halo.

yeah it is a bit to long cept i am abbreviating too

yeah i tink that u hav the hand part right because that would b the key purpose for rand losn his hand.

tho i doubt taim will just sit thr and wait in line for logain to kill demandred

Remember that Logain has a following within the Black Tower as well. Many would side with him over Taim, and Im pretty sure Taim knows it, otherwise Im sure he would have declared Logain as a rebel as well.

And Aviendha is being aimed at Graendal, by all appearences

UNQUOTE

By all appearances? What makes you think that?

Little enough. Being moved to Arad Domon, given a strong angreal that makes her an equal to Graendal (who has a weak angreal), and the only character local who is strong enough to take on Graendal.

But I misstated my original comment, i meant that if there are indications suggesting Aviendha is going to go against any of the Forsaken than it is Graendal that she is being aimed at. What i said was too strong by half, and unintentional.

I still dont get why you think she is aimed at Graendal though. Its not as if anyone in the books know where she is (or any of the Light anyway) and she doesnt necessarily have any skills that would make her better against Graendal in any way. I dont think Aviendha will fight any Forsaken if Im honest.

Aimed by the author in the positioning within the plot.

And Aviendha will hardly do badly in the fight. She has the benefit of all the Wonder Girls forced out of Moghedian, and a warrior spirit besides. The gifting of the angreal seems to me to be directly in preparation for this event.

She has opportunity, skill, strength and she's the only main character nearby. Beyond that she's had no major part to play, yet she is a key character. Always playing the sidekick... it simply doesn't hold.

If it does happen Graendal had better win. Nynaeve seems to be the only one of the young females who can equal a Forsaken, and thats how I like it. If Aviendha now suddenly was strong enough to beat a Forsaken it would steal some of Nynaeves thunder in my oppinion.

Not going to happen. At least not how you infer it will. Moridin will beat the mess out of Rand, if Rand fights at all.

What leads u to believe that Moridin will defeat Rand. If anything, Rand has the most crucial advantage: The CK. Moridin and Rand will fight but I don't see Rand losing...

The CK is useless if every time you wield the OP you get so dizzy you can't do anything with it. Moridin, on the other hand, has both experience and the True Power.

Rand's only source of experience is Lews Therin Telamon. And he can't really trust Lews enough to give him the power, can he?

But I didn't say Moridin would really defeat Rand, I only said that IF they fight, Moridin will beat Rand down. For a full explanation of how this will all work out, see body swap theory. See the third post down.

I agree with luckers that there is the distinct possibility of Avhienda facing off against Graendal.  To put it simply,...

1.  Graendal, (with the exception of Demandred, is the forsaken we have seen do the least.  COuple this with her reputation for sneakyness, and I think that we will be finally seeing the fruit of a pretty cool Graendal plot in AMoL, (either that or she will go down as one of the least effective forsaken in the books.)

2.  Like Lucker's said, we've yet to see anything major from Avhienda, either she does it in AMoL or she misses her chance, and is a wasted character.

3.  Avhienda was randomly given the stone TAR Terangreal by Elayne.  This seems like an important detail to me, and an indicator that Avhienda is likely to be in some sort of trouble that will nessecitate her possesion of said Terangreal.  To my mind the most likely cause of that trouble is Graendal.

I am as sure as i can be without reading the book that rand will fight morridin. i tink if rand fights morridin b4 the DO he will win cept after its any1s guess

and Avhienda  will probs fight graendel    may even find an important engreal/terangreal in hr possesion.

Na i tink matt will kill Shaidar Haren caus they hav already fought twice b4  which resulted in a stalemate both times

fain will probs kill a forsaken or a darkfriend atleast in order to b the one to kill rand    he may eve kill morridin.

nynaeve will kill mog for sure and i tink elayne will contribute to the death tole somhow

and both moriane and cadsuane will die

If Aviendha doesnt fight Graendal she wouldn't be a wasted character at all. She has been valuable to Rand, Elayne and Egwene, will end up having some of Rands babies, and if Im honest I think it is those babies that will be the remnant of a remnant. Even if it isnt that, she still has been useful. If you think she is a wasted character if she doesnt kill a Forsaken then I dont think you haven't been taking notice of the books.

Which is rather the issues--she's served as nothing but a side-kick... to Elayne, to Rand... She's a secondary character given the focus of a main character.

Beyond which your point about her not having the strength is innaccurate. She has a very strong angreal, which Graendal has a very weak angreal--as a result their strengths are likely even.

That being said i don't see her killing Graendal, just driving her out of Arad Domon, and winning their fight.

I'd agree that IF they meet Aviendha would probably prevail.

Problem is that Graendal already stated to Sam that if she thought Rand was even looking in her direction she'd pack-up and fall back to her already prepared bolthole.

With Aiel already in Arad Domon, and the known fact that where the Aiel go Rand soon follows ( if he isn't already with them to begin with ), Graendal might not stick around for a confrontation of any kind.

If Avi is to do something significant, there's a Dream of Egwene's that may provide a clue:

Men and women breaking out of a cage, then putting on crowns.

- The Dragon Reborn, Fires in Cairhien.

Graendal took all of her pets from the highest nobility she could find.  If she leaves some of them behind in her haste to avoid possibly confronting TDR, Avi might be the one to unravel, break through, or overcome the cage of Compulsion they've been trapped into.
