Hmmmm. This game is gonna have start sooner than I thought. If anyone else wants to sign up, do it fast! They'll close by Sunday 8 p.m. EST.

MAFIA – The Streets of NYC -

 

22 Players:  16 Innocents. 4 Mafia.

 

Days will last 72 hours.  Nights will last 24. We'll play on this thread.

 

Everybody will be pm’d a known character, and an unknown alignment.

No one will be given a role.

No one will know who each other is, not even the mafia

No one may communicate off of the thread.

 

As soon as the thread says “GAME ON”,  just post that you are here along with one nighttime hangout choice. You may choose one of the following:  1.) The Ritzy Club 2.) The Bowling Alley 3.) The Church 4.) The Opera 5.) The Casino

 

The hangout will be where you spend the night-time hours. The Innocents can’t change their location once it is set.

 

The mafia can change night to night by pm’ing the mod.

 

Each morning, a news report will give details about the events from the night before. This will include anyone who has been night killed, their alignment, the location they were killed at, and the weapon used to kill them.

The Innocents will try to identify and lynch the mafia by majority vote. If a majority vote is not reached, the mafia will have two night kills instead of one. The Innocents win if all four mafia are lynched.

Once per game, each innocent can PM the mod and request “police protection”, and they cannot be killed that night.

The Mafia do not know each other and can play against each other for the highly prized solo win. The mafia may choose to win as a team by killing enough innocents so that they equal or outnumber the innocents. A solo win is only possible if one mafia player is the last player standing.

 

The mafia will rotate night kills. They will be given instructions as follows: “Your night kills are scheduled for nights 1, 5, and 9.” They will not know when the other mafia are scheduled to night kill. If the innocents lynch a mafia player, a new schedule will be sent by pm.

 

Each mafia player will be assigned a signature weapon that will be mentioned in the coroner-finder morning report. They will given instructions as follows: “Your signature killing method is to use explosives.”

 

Only the mafia can “see” who is present and absent at the night-time hangouts. So, even if it is not your turn to night kill, you still have to pm the mod each night with the location you wish to hang out in. You will be sent a list of players currently at that hang-out. If it is not the permanent location you posted on the thread, you will not be listed on that location, implying that you are absent. You will be listed on the roster for the location you have chosen. The other mafia should be able to figure each other out in a number of nights.

 

Last, during the day before your night-kill, each mafia will have access to a neutral character known as “Benny The Leech”. Benny can be used to intimidate other players, snitch on other mafia members, or recite poetry. It’s your choice. You will be sent log-in information along with your night-kill schedul and signature weapon.

MAFIA RULE THE STREETS THROUGH FEAR!

 

The five burroughs are paralyzed as the top families battle for ultimate control of the big apple.

In a bold but desperate manuever, the mayor has implored the citizen's of this city to come forward and assist in the identification of the now famous killers that keep us behind locked doors at night.

 

"They have names we all know. "The Blade". "Boom Boom". "The Backstreet Strangler", and "The Scorpion". They use our town for their own pleasure and honest hard working citizens are forced to stay indoors or get caught up in their war! It must stop! We ask anyone who has any knowledge of these killers to come forward. We can offer witness protection. We will stop at nothing to fiond them. Please, if you love this city as much as I do, you will come forward. Someone must know something!"

 

Will the mayor's plead succeed? Only time will tell!
