Second, the "Art of Mafia" plays.

 

In a newbie game, it is eay to discount play style. But, in this game we had a few posts worthy of mention:

 

First, I gave DJ the role of finder just because his name is "Dark Justice". In a normal game Iwould have chosen all roles at random,  but i couldn't resist this obvious pitfall for newbs. And you fell for it, bad! DJ get's a point for trungin the lynch around though, and he knew he was a marked man!

 

Second, Deterion. Greta instincts! Here are a couple of clips!

phew, we have a healer

 

This game suddenly got so interesting *if* Dark Justice's claim is legitimate. If it is, then the Mafia suddenly start playing a game of "Guess the healer" while we wait for Dark Justice's viewings. If it isnt a genuine claim, then you've managed to tie up our healer protecting you anyway, while shifting the blame off yourself sharply.

Great reasoning! Here's a new player I've got my eye on.

 

And then, there's Vemy. For the newbies, Vemy caught everyone's attention right from the start. He started with a "loose-and wild" style,but quickly refined it to become a serious mafia threat no matter what side he's on. Here's the post that got the gold in this game....

ok so above is the current vote count and heres in my opinion what we do since we only have half a day left:

 

Lynch me or kryos

 

Dark Justice could be lying but with half a day left even if we get a second finder claim its *far* too risky to kill either one, better to wait till tomorrow.

 

On that note: Luthine, blig blog, this is a new player game. I think you'll both learn more if you don't try and lynch each other day 1. Which inevitably means that an experienced player must die day 1 (and at this point can I request the mafia not to kill a new player night 1? same reasons as the lynch)

 

So that narrows it down to me or kryos, both experienced players. Both of us tend to look at things logically rather then intuitively so you won't lose much with either of us lynched.

 

 

And in case I'm lynched I'll say it now: If you're the real finder DJ tell us who you viewed even if they are innocent, this will force the mafia to choose to either night kill the known innocent players or search for the healer.

 

There is a risk though, if you receive role and alignment do *not* reveal the healer if you find out who that person is. If you do they would become a target, simply announce that you've found the healer and won't reveal the name except to confirm if they are close to being lynched.

 

otherwise, if you just get alignment, then unfortunately if you view the healer and the healer dies then your next.

 

This was used successfully in the suras game, and with a starting player count of 14 with DPR's confirmed 3 evils then we have the slight number advantage and it should work. Just a piece of advice.

This is mafia brilliance, and the subsequent, uncontested lynch of Kryos is nothing short of a 24 carat play. Bravo Vemy!

The more i look back on this the more i see how well played it all was

 

Some points ill congratulate Vemy on : -

a) Helping out with the votes structure (semi-Official posts :P) naturally put people off voting for him

 

b) Great knowledge of who to lynch/NK

 

Needless to say, i took Kryos at his word you were innocent for a while as well

 

Quick question, Which Mafia started the Healer NK (on BCXanth)? Was it just going for the next experienced nonMafia (and thereby likely to be Healer) or just luck?
