Hi friends. I'm super stoked to stand before you today.

 

Now I just wanted to let you know that even though your boards are super super joy joy fun to be on, your threads are super duper long. It's quite the daunting task for little old me to even read through all those super exciting posts of yours. I don't doubt for a second that you rockin' awesome bandies are very interesting mind you, I'm just saying that presently I don't have the time it would take to get caught up with ya'll.

 

So I just posted my own thread, because that's how the kid does. I'm not really new to the band, I made some super great friends here. I could never forget Odi, Ehlana, or the one true love of my life Lilli. The rest I must say I probably forgot. Sorry, my bad, I'm super duper bummed if I don't remember you. (insert sad face here)

 

I just wanted to stop by and thank you all because on the new member boards a lot of you welcomed me, and I think that's awesome. As an older member of DM I remember people coming by and getting for the most part ignored, not totally but somewhat. I think the reason DM has been around as long as it has is because of folks like ya'll. Plus I love the Band of the Red Hand. Never joined, but it was always like a second home to me, so I figured I'd say hi.

 

I think I used all my funny up for the night, so I do apologize for giving you a junior varsity post (at best) but I promise to work harder in the future. Thanks again for saying hi, there's nothing an ego maniac with a god complex likes better than attention... and orange juice.

Lilli was around last year for a bit. She'd just popped back for a visit I think. Haven't seen her lately. The other two I'm afraid I don't know. Corki might be able to help.

And you have no idea how hard it is sometimes to live up to the myth that so many people have propagated. I mean I'm funny, I'll call myself on it, but I'm not the be all of comedy. I have shortcomings too, though I can't offhand think of any. I mean I could go on at length about the pressure of...

And that's how I ended up taking my mother to senior prom.

Oh and you can have OJ, that's no problem... just don't let Horn have any... he's hyper enough without that and has quite a sufficient amount of orange things cluttering up the place. ::)

Welcome to the Band!

 

I recognise some of those names. Lilli is about, but has recently disappeared. You are probably likely to find her around either the CoL or the Seanchan. Ask Empy. He'll know...and probably end up stalking you as well! Feel free to mention any old Band history as we know very little of our fallen brothers and sisters from former days.

 

I'm suspecting the Band has changed quite a bit, and most names you won't recognise. That is because the Band sadly got wound up as an ORG at some stage, and then reappeared again in December 2004 as a discussion group. I somehow managed to convince Kath I was the best person for the job of leading the Band, and 3+ years down the road, I still have this job! We styled ourselves as the Music and Travel ORG of DM so feel free to start any thread on those topics.

 

Good to see you around, and feel free to ask any more questions about the Band.

HI!! I dont' remember you.......... And i've been here a while.... but i'm a slacker... so that's not surprising ;D Very nice of you to drop in though :) I'm Kat btw. I don't post much here unfortunately.... these boards are too.... well too much frankly lol i get lost so easily... I blame it on being blonde as a child ;) It's always good having old friends come around again though ;D

 

And Tay quit bein mean to poor horn and give him his orange juice.... :P It's good for him... He needs lots of vitamin C... don't want him gettin sick now do we?? *hands Horn a big glass of OJ when he finally shows up* :D
