Its good in the respect that we have a little more time to figure out who's evil, however, it is bad because after the first night, it doesn't tell us enough. We've got essentially nothing to go on, and the results of the night have kept it that way.

Its good because we have more time to figure this out.

Think of it like this: if the evils killed someone last night, there's a 100% guarantee we'd be down two innocents.

Because they didn't, there's a possibility that the second death will be an evil.

And even if it isn't, we'll learn much more from a second death based on votes than we would have from a death based on a night kill, since there will be more information to analyze.

There is absolutely no percentage for the evil team in not killing unless they are restricted from doing so by either mod rule, healer or guard or some unspecified role we don't know about.

Which reminds me - oh, great and powerful moddess, will we be getting full role reveals on coroner, or just alignment?

[glow=red,2,300]Vemynal[/glow], who generally follows me around with puppydog eyes, is voting for me?  Yeah, that rings the suspiscion-o-meter ™.

BTW, Vemy - which portion of this actually involved "coming out hard at you from the get go"?  Especially when it was followed by this:

Ouch!

*Glares at Barm.*

*Rubs side*

Thank god for Kevlar.

Nobody picking up on my Vemy question?  Fair enough . . . I'll file it away for later.  Especially if Barm goes down today and winds up Piratical.  But I think I'll leave the vote there for the moment (though if I get a third vote on me it will swing to Barm out of self-presevation)

Trust me, when I come after someone hard, it's noticeable.  I start quoting old posts and pointing out illogic in recent explanations for past actions.  Sort of like what's happening now  ;D

well kivam, en guard...

Nobody picking up on my Vemy question?  Fair enough . . . I'll file it away for later.

first quote: well, since you want an answer, those two parts are what made me sit up straight, hardly the response i was expecting from you. First off, the only time I've followed you around with "puppydog eyes" was my first real game, the suras hunt. maybe i'm just nuts but you've never been the type to vote for another outta self preservation, you usually press for analyzing data and sitting back. Remember in the nuthouse when i claimed doc and you thought we had enough data for day 1 and we ended? case in point :P

second quote: Once more you seem to press that you think voting me as the day 1 lynch is the best option, but seeing as your single vote was doing nothing to me you switched it to barm for the soul reason of self preservation and then tig for much the same reason, with the added benefit of "he was holding us up". So unlike the kivam i've seen in the past, you vote outta self preservation instead of pressing your point home (killing me) and then once more jump your vote to tig. At this point your safe at 1 vote and barm and tig were at 2 a piece, you were safe so why the frivious vote change?

and to your claim that I tend to hold up games rather then help them move along I'd beg to argue that point (with the exception of my role claims, Oh how i do love my role claims XD)

Vemy's typical first day is flitting around spamming the thread and generally not "moving the game along as quickly as possible" (which is his explanation for the vote.

Definitely not narrowing down the kill zone to two, which is pretty much what happened once he named me (and made me equal to Barm, which is why I'm seeing links there).

i explained my reason for barm real enough, I've gotten him killed on day 1 before at least once, and me and him have duked it out many times before, for once I'd like to see us both get to play without harrowing the other all game. At least till i see a real reason too.

that left you and DPR, whichever of you i voted would be at a second vote. I like rum and so chose you for my vote, yes a frivilious reason, but not for a frivilious purpose. i admit I didn't want to see barm go so early.

As for holding up the game, yes it did. But it got others voting didn't it? when things tie up in the early stages people put their votes in.

So while I may have "stalled the game" I'd like to think I also got more participation and things going.

And what part of my game so far has been spam? I have an entrance post, a post where i speak of rum and vote, one or two vote up dates, my day 2 reasons for voting you, and my day 2 rebuttal. hardly spam crazy...especially for day 1...

anyways, hopes this helps explain things

at this point you guys just wanna make it a me or kivam vote for today? I mean some good reasons are:

1) i think kivams evil and kivam thinks I am, the only two players to be "declared for" I guess you could say.

2) we are the only two with votes cast on us so far (and its been a day already)

3) We don't really have any other information to go on.

vote count:

Vemynal(1): Kivam

Kivam(1): Vemynal

Just alignment.

*pokes Barm* are you the Moddess...should I dress you up and do your hair?? :P

We will be giving Alignment and role.

Yep  a pretty pink frilly dress with ribbons would be nice.

The way you two are carrying could start making me think you are both evil. A perfect way to make on of you look very innocent, it's not as though it's been tried before.  :D

Okay having had a look back something springs to mind. It's not much but *shrugs*

Both Vemy and Barmy thought Tigs innocent. They could be genuine, but if you knew someone was innocent (because you were evil), to back that innocence up would be one way to try and make you also look innocent.

At the Moment I will go for [glow=red,2,300]Barmy[/glow]

I want to see more of this Kivam/Vemy assault on each other. They are both very strong personalitis which would also explain this match. :)

I agree with Kivam that Vemy has started off unusually aggressive.  However I'm not sure that's enough for a vote. Though if you put that together with Talya's theory:

Both Vemy and Barmy thought Tigs innocent. They could be genuine, but if you knew someone was innocent (because you were evil), to back that innocence up would be one way to try and make you also look innocent.

I think that he's the most suspicious at the moment.  Granted it's not much... but it's more than we have on anyone else.  I vote Vemy

Yeah, I keep checking the thread and the Kivam/Vemy dust-up has definitely taken center stage.  What I find strange is how active both of these players are, and that nobody else is really posting.  We have very little to go on, and then kind of out of nowhere, a big controversy.  It's weird enough that I'm not quite ready to make a call on it yet, but it does seem out of place. Then we have the Barm vote from Talya, leading away from the main attraction. I think that there is definitely a plan being worked here, but there is at least one more player I would like to hear from first....

Sorry, but I can't exactly relate when it comes to meta-gaming. I don't Vemynal and have only played with Kivam once, where he was an exceptionally aggressive townie.

Both of these are horrible reasons to vote someone. The complete opposite of what you are suggesting can just as easily be true. That's called WIFOM, and while I have no idea if you know what that means, you can find more on that HERE.

That is not to say you are wrong... It's simply that both cases are equally likely to be true.

Needless to say, I'll do the hokey pokey and turn my vote around. [glow=red,2,300]Talya[/glow]

OR Talya, we could be defending Tigs because we legitimately believed that he was innocent, and that an innocent shouldn't die. This leads into Kison's WIFOM thing. Long story short, extremely weak reason to vote.

As for Vem and Kivam taking center stage, well, you had to expect it. One of the analysts was gonna come out with something sooner or later, and no matter which way it landed, Vem and Kivam would have probably ended up on opposing sides. They may both be innocent, Kivam may also be guilty. Hard to say at this point.

We will be giving Alignment and role.

Oh? News to me. Go look at your day ending scene.

Looking for hints, Tigs may in fact have had a role.  Damned if I know what it could be based on this, though:

evidence he'd been on the same cruise before as the one that had sunk, and nothing else.

Barm is scaring me, because he acted like he knew Tigs was innocent day 1, and clearly knew Tigs had a role.  As far as I'm concerned, that makes him innocent (there's no way a guilty player should know an innocent player's role at the start of the game, AFAIK)
