My vote stays until I have a reason to move it. It's fine to gloss over everything and connect the dots after the events have occurred, but that does not answer all of the questions raised.  And the big question still lingers: How could somebody so innocent and so good at deductions be surrounded by so many dead bodies? *shrugs* Heh.

Now, it would be helpful if we could get some other players to post! I'd hate to be going round and round with Kivam only to learn that we were both innocent, and that the evils just sat back with popcorn and watched.

I see there's a little but of a finger pointing match going on... but really I don't see anything conclusive on anyone... Kivam seems a little suspicious but he isn't striking me as evil... yet.  DPR your case for him is very thin.  If you can find anything more conclusive I'll be more than willing to add my vote to yours... Kivam do you have anything on the people on your suspicious persons list or just gut feelings?

wes, you know that's exactly what they are doing. they are watching and laughing and maybe even gleeful. kivam is either on their team conducting the game, or he's on our team and handing it to them. kivam is skilled enough to make himself useful. super useful. but if he's good, i would terribly hate to lose him. it's a very hard decision to have to make.

the really horrible thing is all our deaths had tickets. we lost so much of our help so quickly. the first two days! not to mention that two were barms and vemy.

my feeling is to ignore this kivy thing right now and find someone random... or not so random, but unsuspected.

Right now I have a suspicious person list of two - Talya, for voting Barm in the first place, and Leelou as a corollary, for defending her when Kison pointed out the flaws in her logic.

A level below that are the players who are doing what Alys was talking about - laying low, putting out almost no analysis or theories, generally letting the chips fall where they may since the innocent deaths were coming without effort anyway.  In decreasing order of suspicion at the moment that's Loki, Naeann (until today . . . though she was on LoA, so it counsels against it, while her Barm vote counsels for it) Danya, you SBoyd and Alys.

DPR is up next, but I think he's on the level.  Same for Kison - he's been too helpful so far and too spot on with his critiques for me to be particularly suspicious of him.

And that's my current suspect standings.

Alright, let's clear the field as it were. I'm not going to distract us by going against logic.  I'll [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow], and now we can take a fresh look at what is happening.

I've been focussing on Kivam and have suspected Talya. But even if I was lucky and they were both evil, they won't be the only mafia. I'm going back to review posts, and see if i can't pick up on anything else.

You argue amongst yourself as the day wears on.  As the sun continues it's climb toward its mid-day peak, you feel a chill run up and down your back.  You look around but see nobody behind you, yet you can't shake the feeling that someone, or some-thing, is watching you.  And at the edge of hearing you could swear you hear the distant sound of mocking laughter.

BTW, if we have a finder out there and you agree with this suspect ranking, I suggest you investigate people from the bottom up.  Nothing is worse than losing a game because someone convinced you they were so likely to be innocent that the finder didn't investigate them before the evil team killed the finder.

Anyway, for the rest of you, what are your suspect ranking?  I suggest we get a group ranking and start lynching from the top down while the finder investigates from the bottom up.

how come you couldnt just tell us that becky was a mason again? i missed that part i think?

and that all sounds so kinky

Because if the evils hadn't figured out what role Barm had, why should I tell them?

Posted

I am more than content with lynching either Talya or Leelou.

As for the finder, I suggest that whoever you are(if you exist), that you flip a coin between two people on Kivam's list. That way if the person on the top of his list is not scum, whoever is scum will not know to pick them off to prevent us from having a confirmed innocent.

Basically, make it somewhat unpredictable.

Sorry in advance for this being long:

[glow=red,2,300]Alys[/glow] for steering votes away from Kivam since day 1, unless anyone else has a better idea? Day 1 she was the first to vote Kivam but once people started to pile on votes and the count came to:

Current Vote Count:

Barm: (3) Kison, Soyo, Kivam

Kivam: (4) Alys, Vemy, Loki, Barm

Talya: (1) Tigara

Tigara: (1) DPR

Not Voting: Leelou, Danya, Talya, Naeann.

With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.

Day 1 ends on 1/10 @ 6pm MST.

In the next post she quickly changes her vote to:

i really don't want to kill kivam; i want to play with him. and barm is too much fun to lose early.  [glow=red,2,300]unvote and vote tig.[/glow]

Everyone quickly jumps on to the tigs vote who we later learn was a mason.

Day 2.

Kivam was not in any danger at this time, but Alys still pointed out:

Do not lose this quote if any of those three come up scum.

lol. kivam is intelligent, and i like to match wits with him. it is very enjoyable to me to know when i have bested someone who is entirely smarter than i am.

Also, the idea that an evil team would deliberately choose not to kill to play headgames makes no sense.  As an evil, you want to narrow the field quickly, hopefully killing the finder before he can reveal and provide information, and at the very least moving closer to end-game.

it's also good as an evil to keep the pool confused because that means that you can operate with near impunity. it's a strategy that has worked more than once in the past. and it worked all too well. *shudders*

i do think it more likely that they ran out of time or something like that though. less likely that they got blocked on night one.

as far as the rest goes, day ends tonight. everyone seems to have a bad reason for voting for everyone else. we neeeeeed to get the ball rolling, but i don't see anywhere to go.

thinking further, while it'd be just like vemy to blow his own cover on day one, i don't think the possibility of him having what kivam was thinking is very high. i mean, that'd be all but one or two games here that weren't major rolls. i think it was more a vague dramatic statement.

Alys has not really formed any opinions on her own for voting so far and goes with:

gotta go somewhere... [glow=red,2,300]vemy[/glow]

which is with Kivam. She later states as a throw out after we find Vemy to be innocent:

i'm not voting with kivy again.

and the torn remains of a cruise ticket from the same cruise Tigara had been on

good night.

And finally onto the current day, day 3:

Kivam was starting to get some attention drawn to him, Wes had voted him, Naeann both voted and unvoted him. After this interaction, Alys says:

wes, you know that's exactly what they are doing. they are watching and laughing and maybe even gleeful. kivam is either on their team conducting the game, or he's on our team and handing it to them. kivam is skilled enough to make himself useful. super useful. but if he's good, i would terribly hate to lose him. it's a very hard decision to have to make.

my feeling is to ignore this kivy thing right now and find someone random... or not so random, but unsuspected.

After this, Wes unvotes Kivam and there are now only votes on:

Current Vote Count:

Leelou (1): Kison

Talya (1): Kivam

Not Voting: Leelou, Dark Justice, Dayna, Loki, Soyo, Talya, Alys, Naeann, Wes.

can't fault you, leelou, as i would do the same in your shoes. it does look that way. i actually expected it to happen sooner.

i'm still witholding my vote because i can't decide if kivam is playing us or it just looks like he is. like it or not, he is one of those players you hate to lose because of the way end game works out.

A wind howls through the camp, knocking over your meager shelters.  On the air you smell a hint of smoke. You turn quickly, looking for the source of the smell, and as the wind dies you spot a shadowy figure out of the corner of your eye as it vanishes into the jungle.

Leelou, you theory would also convict Kivam if Alys is evil... so why not vote Kivam, who has other evidence, though slim, pointing at him.

[glow=red,2,300]Kivam[/glow] for now. I should be back tomorrow before the deadline.  I will re-asses the situation then. If anything new develops then I may be willing to change my vote.
