Forsaken - Appearances

So we've all discussed the main characters and their appearances many times over, but what about the Forsaken? Some of them i just cannot put a face to, maybe you can.

 

What I have (and you're all going to jump on Rahvin immediately) is;

 

Rahvin - young Burt Reynolds

Semi - Grace Jones

Mesaana - Geena Davis (although this completely goes against the descriptions of Danelle!)

Lanfear - Angelina Jolie crossed with Kelly Brook

 

The rest of them I just cannot put a solid face to, what do you have?

Semirage -  Omirossa?    Apprentice Fame

Rahvin  -  George Clooney 

Asmodean-  Younger Sam Elliot

Lanfear  -  Kate Winslett

Greandal -  Susan Lucci

Moridan  - Bill paxton

Be'lal    - Kurt Russle

 

Those are a few as I picture them.

I suppose I could buy Grace Jones as Semi, if she had just been a bit younger.

Graendal - Rose McGowan

Be'lal - Peter Stormare

Moridin - Wentworth Miller

Moghedien - Tilda Swinton

Sammael - Julian McMahon

Aran'gar - Morena Baccarin

These probably go against some descriptions from the books, but that isn't uncommon.

 

Rahvin - a fitter Alec Baldwin

Lanfear - Catherine Zeta Jones-ish, but younger

Asmodean - a palefaced, almost comically melancholy Johnny Depp

Semirhage - Naomi Campbell (tall, dark, and bitchy  ;D)

Ishamael - John Malkovich plus flames

 

 

None of the others have celebrity faces attached to them in my head. I could list some actors that I think could play them, but they don't necessarily look the way I imagine the characters to look.

I had always picked Catherine Zeta Jones but Juliet Landau as Lanfear is inspired. Juliet is perfect.  Black hair, Pale skin.  Maybe evil, maybe not you can't really tell.

Asmodean - Jeremy Irons

Shaidar Haran - Michael Wincott

Halima - Salma Hayek (What can I say)

Belal - John Malkovich

Sammael - Kenneth Branagh

Rahvin - Alec Baldwin

Demandred - Samuel L. Jackson

Graendal - Jennifer Love Hewwit (you need the curves man)

Mesaana - Ashley Judd

Moridin - Jared Padalecki

Semirhage - Angela Bassett (She's got that glare)

I so would love to see Alan Rickman in a film version if there was one, but i dont know who to put him as... Asmodean possibly but... he's sarcastic, very funny... i've never seen him play a character badly.

I am with ya, from two rivers until book 11, how I have seen Rand has changed many times.  No way I could picture any current or former star as Rand.

I believe Rahvin is black. ;)

He is described as having a dark complexion. I take that as mediterranean rather than black. Especially since we see Mat describe him as dark, and that's before he has ever seen an actual black person.
