Hiya, everyone!

 

Yeeep, another new one to the forums.  My name is Bhargavi and I am quite hooked on the WoT series thanks to my loverly husband.  My father raised me with an appreciation for fantasy novels and our four year old daughter is quite taken aback with dragons, so I think it's spreading. *winks*  I'm currently working my way through Book Seven and probably would have finished the series had we not moved from Ohio to Los Angeles in September.  Aaaanyhow, just wanted to say hello!  I'm heading over to the RP forums in a moment, as I'm an avid roleplayer and have been working on a storyline involving Sarille.  Can't wait to get  to know everyone here!

Glad to see another new face around here.  Wow, LA huh?  How do you like it there?  Still getting used to everything?  I'm from Alabama myself... Heeeey, no jokes!  :P :D

 

Anyway, I would like to extend a courteous invitation to the Wolfkin Organization.  I know you said that you were heading over to the RP side of things, but I would strongly encourage checking out the community side (the organizations) as well.  I know of a few people who do that, including myself, and it all works out quite well.  But definately come by and check out us wolfies, post a thread and say hi.  You can meet all of us crazies... lol...

While you are scrolling down to the Wolfies, check out the Band of the Red Hand ORG first (we do appear above the Wolfies! ;)). We are DM's very own Music and Travel ORG, as well as being the ONLY place to be at DM. Who wouldn't want to be part of the greatest fighting machine in Randland?? Would you like to be either a Blademaster, a Knight or an Assassin? If the answer is 'yes', then sign up and you'll be on the path to greatness! The Band has much to offer, whether it be just posting and making new friends, gambling, drinking Battle Brew, singing Jak O' the Shadows, fighting a fellow Bander in the Arena with our dice-based ORG Game, and much much more! We'll look forward to seeing you by our Campfires!

If you're at all interested in role-playing, there's a thriving RP community here.  For roleplaying, I'd suggest starting off by reading this post: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,354.0.html  That covers the basics and will give you an idea of where to begin.

 

Next you'll want to get an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play. Just about every group of people on Randland are represented in some way. When you have an idea of the kind of character you'll want to play, you'll need to come up with a character bio and have it approved for play. For more info on that, check out this post: http://forums.dragonmount.com/index.php/topic,717.0.html

 

After that, just find your way to the Div boards for your chosen Division and begin to join in on the fun as you await for your bio to be approved and to be assigned a mentor if needed. Over in the Freelanders we've got lots of great plans in the works for the Seanchan, the Seafolk, and the Kin, so if you're interested in any of those character types we'd love to have you. :)
