It's maddening, no? I imagine that more than a few tongues were bitten at one point or another. I almost severed mine and swallowed it when Barm was turned and then outed myself and Leelou. There was no coming back from that....

 

Dsage, you should have awarded yourself a point for inventing and keeping up with such an intricate game!

And omg talk about luck! almost all my actions could have been horrible for the residents but I happened to luck out!

 

Example: I chose loki cuz i thought he was evil! instead he's the finder and i protect him and Dark dies cuz of it! That SERIOUSLY could have backfired!

 

And look at what leelou had in her pocket on day 7! she had 2 votes! that means if even one player had voted with her then we were toast O.o

1) I have been really busy wth exams and crap like that

The length was bugging me too.  Most of it was inactivity.  Some of it, I think, was the complication of the game.  Maybe I rushed it?  I dunno.  But I sort of wish I would have just played through Thanksgiving instead of extending the deadline.

i think it was too complicated to not have more explaination... no one could figure out what was going on for a while i think... that's the only flaw that really sticks out...

i didn't defend myself before because I claimed Healer falsly in the newbie game and I thought everyone would think I was lying again. Nor did I have time to defend myself.

its ok tig, you wouldn't have known it but if you had revealed then we would have ended up lynching loki unless he revealed. Which would have caused a barrel full of problems.

 

Dsage, don't worry about the inactivity or the length. With 20 players your going to have a long as heck game. I'd suggest 4 days for a day length and 18 hours for a night length (I prefer 3 days:Day 12hours:night personally). That would speed things up tremendously.

 

As for inactivity...its my personal opinion that mods should just start killing players off unless they have explained themselves to the mod and have a good reason. Short of that if something comes up they should bow out like Nae did. Other then that you really just can't do anything about it.

 

All in all I had a great time with this game, but I definantly agree dsage you should keep the roles to their regular names XD.

Yeah, well...I think I was ahead of myself there...I had it planned out and then a whole month went by where I didn't even think about it really.  That didn't help.  Well, I'm backing out from modding for a good long while.  And this Jail Break Mafia will be my last mafia game to play for a while too, I think.  I need a break.  :)

Just so you know, I was looking at some of the games played on mafiascum.com, and the games we come up with here are definitely in league with some of the stuff on their boards. I think "Orista Manor" would have gone over well (especially with a few of the tweaks you mentioned), and the length of their games goes on for multiple months at times. In a nutshell, let's keep creating! We need more players, as Danya pointed out, but the games are good. I can't wait to see the next gen....
