Kind of like how some of us spend actual time out of our day posting actual words during N0, and whether you like those posts or not, the the only response you get from that posts felt like a bunch of lazy GIF responses. Whether they are a "real" response to the post or not, was irrelevant to me.

Calling those posts "spam" isn't obtuse. It's a matter of... If you don't want your posts to be called spam, maybe post content that has some actual word count to them with some actual words beyond just a gif. 

 

What I can't believe, is that some of you are still holding a grudge over gif posts being called spam for this bloody long. Get over it. Holy crap... 

 

When it comes to usable content right now, most of its bloody spam. How many bloody slankers? 

I tried to move the game forward by getting people to give me some of their early reads, and only one of you (Peace) actually did so. Darthe was killed before he could. Ithi's attacking me every chance she' gets. I'm just digging my own grave with every word, as per normal whenever I play Mafia. (Town, pay attention to all the non-voters and the people who hammer, it's likely all the information you're going to get this game)

 

At this point, I'm just babbling...

That said. Who here do we think is most likely to have caught Darthe's slip?

I only just caught it last night by accident.

Heavy is a mid-zone for me cause he's been more pushy so my read of him is colored

 

Teph has seemed to be looking for scum imho even if he does it his way and with a bit of jokeyness

 

Ed, Tigs, Turin are all null till I get something concrete from them

 

LeeLou is a town lean 

 

Berf appears to be looking and solving

Anyways, as I was finishing my catch up, this post caught my eye.

 

Didn't I explain it to GK here? Is this a misrep, cause this smells like a misrep?

 

I'll explain it again.

The long short of it is this; I had those 3 players as my focus of attention, and I felt that their actions, could rapidly shift where I place them in the ranking that I had them.

 

I was stating that My town read on heavy was based solely on his posting style, which at the time was what the others would call "emo", and of little substance to the actual game.

My "town read" on heavy could (and has) rapidly change based on his interactions with others, his word choices, and how he's approached the actual game, rather than the non-game elements that were getting in the way of others wanting to lynch him for the same reason they wanted to lynch GK.

 

DPR was on that asterisk list because, I believe at the time I posted that list, he kept prying everyone for their "lists" and "reads", but hadn't actually bothered to give anyone his. So IMO, depending on when he got around to posting his "shit take", that could easily push him further away from town or closer to town. 

 

Peace was my "Neutral" because there were things they said that didn't make sense, but I also don't feel sussing me automatically makes you "scum".

 

I felt that those 3 players town/scum positions could rapidly change based on their actions, so not only could those positions rapidly move in my mind, those were players I was keeping an eye on.

 

Note:

Later that day I didn't really move DPR anywhere, but I pushed Ed, Teph, and Turin further down my list.

Blue = neutral - counter train.

 

Anyways, I was clearly wrong about GK being at the bottom of my first two lists. Half of that is literally based on his hounding me over what I felt was non-sense. At least DPRs, Dice, and Darthe's hounding questions make sense to me.

Turin's hounding just comes off as Charlie from It's Always Sunny, and at this point I still don't know if that's scum Turin or Town Turin.

 

I'm also at a complete loss over Eds slanky slankiness.

It makes sense, Ed2Funny is actually Themberchaud, the Slankiest Dragon ever.

My first reaction is I can go to that thread and find 3 posts that say almost the exact same thing as he has said in here.  2 off the top of my head are the lighting rod crap (crutch) and the saying the person attacking him the most is town lean.  In that game it was me and in this game its Ithi.

But you are talking tone.  I'm gonna have to reset my frame of mind and think if I agree with a tone change.

The only thing I would say is, he didn't really catch any heat in that game early on.

 

And he did use his lightning rod phrase to negate any attempts on him.

 

I remember think wow this is such flak, but the players seemed to just let it ride.

 

I can't even remember when he did start actually getting votes or how he reacted then.

 

Unless that was when he was getting votes?

Leelou - She gave me a few soft "defenses" here and there, with more then enough wiggle room to back track if. I'd say is probably NAI, and is just something an experienced Mafia player would do. So... Null.

I'm not voting Turin today by any means as I know he will ramp up his engagement in the game and I'll have better content to work with from him down the road, he is just beginning to fall behind relative to the other active members and I haven't seen anything to make me think he's town yet.

Heavy is like... every single post over and over again my head goes back to the exact same thought.  If he's a wolf he is a real natural at it and given another rand or two with a bit of coaching I'd take him on my mash wolf team any day.  It's the sort of situation where if I lost to him here I wouldn't even feel bad I'd be excited about it.  And that's like... especially given we're not going to have much in the way of wagonomics in this set-up, I can't lynch that right?  It's far more practical to assume he's town because the vast majority of first time wolves don't hit the ground running like this.

I stand by my reasons for calling Ithi town.

 

Have I given peace too much of a pass on early good feels?  Maybe but this is the early game.  That carries up to a point.

Early posts are just set-up spec I think, possibly a post or two I missed because searching on this site is hard.

 

Page 16 he just talks about Darthe, a confirmed villager.  Not hunting wolves.

 

Pages 17 and 18 he coughs up his case on SD.  Page 18 gets pretty conspiratorial and dependent on future events that haven't happened yet.  We've got some if SD is a wolf he might do x later in the game as justification for calling SD a wolf right now.  We've got a deep plot in which SD makes himself look as wolfy as possible intentionally for the purpose of being able to claim that he must be a villager because a wolf would not make himself look wolfy.  In the original page 17 take he includes such gotchas as SD said wolves know he is a villager but how does SD know there are no 3p?   Ho ho!  His other reasons on page 17 are fine and he did do that refers to his notes thing that I illogically like.

 

Page 20 he pops in to defend himself, fine but nothing to contribute on the rest of the field.  Page 22 wall is mostly about peace's wanting to be the third vote schtick which is.... not really hunting wolves?  Page 25 is mostly commentary on what's happening, again without much alignment-relevant thought.

Mafia-ish on Heavy, Peace. Just based on me not liking interactions that were had in these corners. I don't think it's likely for Peace, Heavy, and SD to all be mafia, but I suspect at least one there is. I know huge call, 3/14 odds. SD flipping mafia (oh nooooo) doesn't preclude me thinking more about these players it should be said.

 

Neutral on Leelou and Teph, they've been in the thread but I've not absorbed anything notable from these corners.

Quoting this as a counterpoint because he did yield one batch of reads.  I didn't think much of it but it's worth noting that it exists.

 

I don't see him actually engaging on this stuff though.  Very armchair about everything but SD.  Even SD he never addressed directly despite SD actively posting throughout our back and forth.  Play style?  Eh maybe but it doesn't sit right with me.
