In the quote post above the middle post where you think you see me flip flopping, I'm stating it's likely more tempting for mafia to stay harness the power of chat vs the power of one vote. I just don't think I made myself clear as Shad has already alluded to.

 

Dead townies I've always maintained should take the vote option unless other circumstances dictate the voice is more important.

I'm a mixed bag on Turin, but that’s mostly due to the mechanic speak and him implying to trust the dead.

I answered my own question, sort of. 

 

In the intro thread, it states that roles from the list that follows MAY be included. 

 

So I think we can't be 100% sure that any role exists in the game. 

 

Is this a this game thing or standard mafia setup boilerplate in 2025?

I guess the other weirdness was Turin saying that the Mafia could never be given the Cop or Doc roles, but I showed that was not true and then he did some scrambling and said he meant just on Night 0.

 

There was that whole... if a Mafia was was passed a Town positive role they'd be able to give it to someone and then just kill them to remove it from the game.

 

Who said that... because that sounds like a Mafia plan to me and I never even twigged to that. If I had thought about that I certainly wouldn't have wanted to give the Mafia team good ideas on how to remove positive roles from the game.

I will say a game thing. Usually if you get a game with an open setup you KNOW what roles are in the game.

Agree with this and up until the ping pong between SD and Ithi I had no mafia feels for either of them. Maybe just too many pages of it has made me feel differently.

Just to give my thoughts on the gif "spam". 

 

I think they are spam and deflection. I totally get that is not necessarily how they are meant, but even if someone is posting the "I don't believe you" meme to convey exactly that, it is impossible to read tone, to judge sincerity, to get a feel of the poster. It's like wearing a mask and playing a message recorded by someone else. It adds the bare minimum to the conversation, so looks like coasting to me. 

 

In this instance, Ithi said it was because it was night, though in this case it was a rather special night. Also many have pointed out it was game related, but I don't think it was contributing in the real sense of the word. Not at least if that is your only contribution, which obviously for Ithi it wasn't, but then it becomes a judgement call of how much is too much?

If there was a Necromancer, I would be very specific to describe to them precisely which players could be revived, which as has been revealed, are the “dead” players in the Afterlife stage. 
 

I might also, hypothetically speaking, explain why presenting every detail of the game in the OP could be problematic and that everyone has more than enough information to win. 
 

I will add two bits to assuage the crestfallen: 

 

1. The circumstances of the Coroner role being lost were something even I had not foreseen. 

2. There is always a way. Keep Trying.

I'm not keen on either trains at this point. It's only 6 hours into D1. The activity between SD and Ithi is the only real thing that has happened yet. Except for a small thing with Heavy and Ithi earlier. But neither of these things makes me want to vote for Ithi, Heavy or SD yet. 

 

@Ithillian Turambar other than the obvious SD, do you have any other players on your want to lynch list for me to consider?
