Description of the Story:
You raise the Orb of Purity, allowing its calming energy to wash over the chamber. The blue light pulses outward in a soft wave, momentarily halting the advancing constructs. The swirling energies of the orb wrap around you, fortifying your focus and slowing the movements of the constructs. As the water magic resonates with the Orb’s presence, you feel more in control of the battlefield, and the creatures seem slightly less aggressive under its influence.

  • HP (Health Points): 20 / 20
  • EP (Element Points): 7 / 10
  • Elemental Strength Levels:
    • Air: Level 1
    • Water: Level 7
    • Fire: Level 1
    • Earth: Level 1
    • Spirit: Level 1
  • Inventory:
    • Basic Adventurer Kit (Includes: a small knife, flint and steel, rope, a waterskin, a map of the known lands, and a bedroll)
    • Rations (2 packs) (Each restores 5 HP)
    • Magical Revive Stones (3) (Brings you back to life with 50% HP and EP, returning you to the last safe location upon death, while keeping all items)
    • Orb of Purity (Enhances healing abilities and calms hostile elemental forces)
    • Adept’s Charm (A relic that amplifies water magic)
    • Shimmering Amulet (Further enhances Water-based abilities)
  • Spell Book: Aqua Surge (Level 7): Creates a powerful stream of water that heals allies, pushes back multiple foes, removes minor harmful effects, and enhances the natural flow of water for greater range and strength.

Outcome of the Choice:
The Orb of Purity reduces the aggression of the remaining constructs and strengthens your hold over the elemental forces in the chamber. You now have the upper hand in the trial.


Next Steps:

  1. Strike now with Aqua Surge while the constructs are slowed.
  2. Attempt to subdue them without violence.
  3. Use both Aqua Surge and the Orb together for a final powerful move.

Description of the Story:
Summoning all your focus, you raise the Orb of Purity in one hand and channel Aqua Surge through the Shimmering Amulet in the other. The combined force of relic and spell unleashes a radiant surge of water magic. The wave crashes into the remaining constructs with immense force, their forms flickering before dissolving into harmless pools. The chamber quiets, the glow from the pedestal dimming as the trial comes to an end.

A gentle warmth fills the chamber as the Guardian’s voice echoes once more:
"You have mastered the Trial of Water. The strength of your spirit and command over the element has grown."

Curious about what more the pedestal may reveal, you approach and study its surface closely. The once faint carvings now shimmer faintly with silver-blue light. As you run your fingers across the markings, new runes become visible—ancient glyphs written in the language of the elements. You recognize some of the script from your training: it speaks of a forgotten spell hidden deep within the Temple of Tides. A small crystal slot pulses beside the inscription, awaiting a key or relic.

It seems the Trial of Water has opened a path not just forward, but to deeper, secret knowledge... if you are willing to seek it.

Sheeping is absolutely not required. Indeed for Zander to understand the game we probably need to get a counter train going.

Guessing so? We seem pretty overlevelled wrt water compared to other elements.

 

I always liked Fire so I'm biased here, admittedly. The moment Rand started weaving a sword out of fire, I was like 'yo this guy slaps' 😤
