I'll keep track of points for the current game and maybe someone will have a little extra time on their hands and want to go back and score past games? Just to see where the players who have been at this for a while stand. Also, Ilgross, do you have mod acccess to the scoreboard or do you prefer that we post raw data here and you can doctor it up for the board?

I am thinking about two ammendments to the score board which I would like to discuss:

 

Having different scores for the n00bie mafia game and the adult version.

 

Having a minimum game limit.

 

Reasons.

 

Losing at Adult gets way less points then winning at noobie games, so people like Kivam are at the bottum of the ladder.

 

They are lots of people who have only played 1 game who don't need to be on the boards. I say raise the minimum to two games. After the current games have finished.

If we are going to have separate scores between the games, then whats the point of having scoring for newbie games? It'll be incredibly unbalanced in the long run. Perhaps if we made the scores given out in the newbie games lower than the ones in the regular ones? For example, 2 points for a newbie win instead of 3 or whatever, and perhaps only 3 points given out at discression? No solo win points since there should never be a solo player to win in a newbie game.

 

This would give the new players a chance to go into the scoreboard with some points when they start, and you must remember that the scoreboard is still new, at a later point, people like Kivam will have far more points than they do now, even if they lose every game unspectacularly.

Last noob game we had, was when we had Dude in, and he got bonus for being incredibly good. In the "point league" that game is still not included.

As long as we stick to the limit of only having 3 trys at newbie, before graduating to adult the problem might smooth its self out.

 

I still stand by imposing a minimum game limit. The Dude, wouldn't need to play another game ever, and he would be on top of the ladder for life...

A minimum game limit I can understand, set at 2 or 3 games. Also, could you have a list underneath of what all games you have added to the scoreboard as is current at that point in time? That way stuff could happen, such as for example, I could take a look at the scoreboard, and as it is right now, if the nuthouse was added in I could point out an error that I see, whereas if the nuthouse isn't on there, I know to wait until it does get added.

 

That and everyone know's what games are on there, and can look up the various games to reference points and such.

I have updated it, and yes generally I do unlock/lock it, but when a mod locks I cannot undo it.

According to DSage I was supposed to get 3 points for Pirates, but I'm not listed on the scoreboard.

You have to of played atleast 2 games of mafia to get onto the board, you will get on after the end of this game.

 

Just a reminder mod points should be given out on the basis of good game play, that did not transpire in a win. EG a really smart/good townie who played well but lost, or the townie who lead the town to their win, or vice versa with a mafia player.

 

Points shouldn't be given otu just for surviving, or for other random reasons, they are there to reward players who played well but didn't win.

i think surviving against all likelyhood is a good reason... such as a vote or two away from being dead...

BTW The mafia have won nearly every game so far. I think the mods should balance the game towards the townies.

I agree.  I think a Vigilante should be allowed on the Newbie games.  I believe Boyo did that with his game, but people said it was pushing it.  And if not a Vig, then maybe somehting else.  I can't really think at the moment.  Migraine.
