I am the Admiral. Obey my commands, answer my questions and I won't send you to the bottum of the sea.

cloudcrono... Do you have a piece of BONESTONE?

Siryan? that you? Similar grammar pattern.

My money is the admiral is going to assist the evils in killing the minister to take over the place and have total power. Least thats what I'd guess from every piece of politics I've ever seen before. And how he keeps being played as a jack hole and we keep getting "bad vibes" around him. Not to mention he he wants us all in prison.

sooo...unrelated question XD

Can the admiral be killed by bonestone?  ::)

I am the Admiral. All else is dross and useless, best you remember that...

You cannot lynch me nor can the Assasin's murder me, however I can question any and all to find those that have fallen to the shadow and those whos hearts are bent on murder.

Bonestone pieces have already been stolen. There is a theif amongst us...

heh, i sunk his battle ship XD

and I meant can you be killed the same way Barm can, via that one bone stone piece?

And sory but every bell and whistle in my head screams your the one backing these murderer's plot wise (maybe not in the night kill/kill all murderers to win sense. But in the story line I'd put money on it I think XD)

edit-oh! following the pattern of Siryan being Admiral who wants to bet me Alys is the Minister? hmm?

Posted

Hey Kivam you are right, from your perspective I could see why it looks suspicious.

I'm sorry for being a moron I forgot about the pieces being stolen from the cave.

Basically I saw DPR's post about how seven pieces were in play then went to the first page and saw only three that actually said they were in play and thought what the heck is he talking about?

I will be more careful in the future.

Sirayn would never spell bottom that way

Barm leans in to whisper something to the Minister as they both watch the Admiral. The Admiral is all smiles, explaining something to his guests. Barm issues orders to the Hall Guard.

“Take your posts. Two at the door, two on the balcony and the others around the perimeter.” He nods to the Minister, nods to the group, and leaves. The Admiral has come inside and to the table.

“Minister, these are my guests. May I present Lon….”

“No Admiral, you may not. I was not made aware that you were inviting guests and I’m afraid I have no spaces for them at the table.”

The Admiral lowers his voice, staring directly at the Minister. “Your lordship, with all due respect, these are wealthy and powerful men. They will make excellent allies…”

“Guard.  Please show the Admiral’s guest to a private dining area and keep them there until I arrive.”

“Minister, I am obligated to remain with my….”

“Admiral, you forget yourself. You are obligation is to me, always.” He pauses. “For tonight though, join your guests. You are new to the Admiralship and its ways, so I will overlook your misjudgment of the situation. Guards, please escort the Admiral's party. Now.”

The Admiral has turned slightly red in the face and hate glitters in his eyes. He turns and leaves the room without another word. As soon as they are gone, the Minister turns towards the group.

“Please, sit down and make yourselves comfortable. I’m sure you have found our hospitality lacking and I hope to make up for that.

Everybody takes a seat and settles in. the Minister looks a bit tired, but there is a spark in his eye. “You are confused, I know. What you have landed squarely in the middle of is a power struggle. The Admiral is young and brash, but ambitious and he has a way of getting the men to follow him. Were it not for that particular talent, I would have done away with him some time ago. But there are enough men behind him to effectively split the Brotherhood, and I can’t have that.  Were he a strong man, possessed of good judgment I would even consider stepping down in time. But he is not. He is weak and given to deception. He has benefited greatly from the deaths of the other Admirals, and while there is not proof that he is involved, I know that he seeks to overthrow the current regime, including myself, and remake the pirates in his image. He has gone so far as to curry the favor of merchants, both here and at other ports, and promises them gold and titles in exchange for their help in what can only turn into an attempt at a coup. Ah, the wine is served.”

Servers fill your glasses, and small, savory tapas are placed on the table.  The Minster raises his glass to you.

“A toast to you all, and thank you for coming!” everybody toasts and drinks. “And to your fallen comrades. Those that have died in honor shall be remembered. Those that have lived in deceit shall have company!”

     “Here, here! Cheers!”

“My condolences for the loss of your friend this afternoon. I possessed information that suggested you were close to outing another assassin. An unfortunate circumstance, but a necessary risk nonetheless. Also, you will find that your accommodations have improved over this afternoons as well. It was a bit of a test, I’m afraid, but you did pass it. I, and my counsel do believe that your intention is to find and kill the assassins.  My witch informs me that we have all of the tools necessary to do just that. We have the bonestone, and the witch’s prophecy. Now it is up to you to find them! I will do everything in my power to keep the Admiral at bay, but you must not waste any time. His faction grows stronger, and soon I know he will make an attempt on my life.  Barm has been made Captain, and that will help my situation greatly. He is also very popular. He will continue to guide you. Unfortunately, the Admiral will also continue to harass you until you have eradicated all of the assassins. He will also question you, and has the judicial power to do so. I suggest answering thoughtfully. A lie is only a lie if it is discovered, and the truth can be bent into many shapes.”

Moore food is brought in. A spicy broth followed by a sweet piece of fruit to cleanse the palette. Then, roast peppered lamb is served. The flavors are amazing, the wine is excellent, and the Minister explains a bit about the running of Sel Arren, politics, the Brotherhood, and his hopes that the current situation will soon be resolved. All in all, he is an excellent host. After some time, the desert is brought in. A multilayered chocolate cake, covered in ice cream, drizzled with some liquor, and set on fire. How appropriate.

Finally, the Minister calls for brandy and settles back into his chair.

“My friends, it simply comes down to this; you must focus on identifying and lynching the assassins. It will be difficult to overcome the distractions that the thieves provide, along with the challenges that always seem to present themselves. But concentrate you must. I will do what I can to aid you, even when it seems otherwise. But, you must carefully choose whom to lynch and whom to protect! Use the bonestone wisely. Do not fall under the spell of those who would deceive you.”

“Father?” You turn to find the little girl standing in the doorway. “They need you in the planning room. Something else has happened.”

“You have already met my daughter." He turn towards her "Darling, will you show our guests to their new

rooms?” He stands up. “I’m afraid I have to leave you again. With luck we will dine again tomorrow. Good night.”

As it turns out, the new rooms are much more well appointed than the hammocks. You relax into the soft feather bed and let the wine, the meal, and the brandy work their magic over you. In no time at all, you are asleep.

Knew it!

hmm to bad about my wrong guess on the admiral's identity, oh well^^

soo now that the admiral is a confirmed baddy who wants the assassins to win and kill the minister shall we say, use the piece of bonestone that can kill him to kill him? hmm?

Posted

Mod clarification:

That would be a good move...except there is not a piece of bonestone that will do that.

Also, all questions and answers should be stated on the game thread. There was some question as to whom can PM, and only the assassins can PM each other.

Keep sleeping. Whoa, was that a footstep you heard in the hallway?

Posted

You wake up. There are no windows in the room, so you don’t know if it’s morning yet or not. You were dead asleep, then awake. You lean up on an elbow and freeze, your heart stops cold. The Admiral is sitting in a chair across the room from your bed.  He holds up both hands.

    “Everything is alright”

Alright? You think you know what would make this alright; your sword through his chest. You reach down to grab it and your hand comes up empty.  He smiles, pointing to the peg across the room where your weapons are hanging.

“You really should calm down. I need to speak with you.”

“There’s nothing to talk about. I will not help you kill the Minister.”

“That’s good. Do you think that you could help me save him?”

Having just woken up, your mind is not moving at top speed.

“Relax. If it will make you feel better, I’ll get your weapons for you.”

He crosses the room, takes your weapons off of the peg, and tosses the bundle to you. He holds his hands back out. He is unarmed. He moves back to the seat.

“I wish we had more time, but we don’t. At any moment now, someone is going to knock on your door to tell you that another one of your group has been killed. So I’ll make this fast: I am not the one trying to kill the Minister. He is in terrible danger, and even I would agree that the assassins have done an excellent job of making me look guilty. But it’s not me. I have my men guarding him day and night. I can’t tell him that, but trust me, they are there. I also know that I seem to be the one that has the most to gain. But that is false as well.  The people who are resp….”

The loud knock rapping on the door confirms that part of his story. You answer, “I’ll be right out!”

“It’s the Witch and her group. I’ll tell you more if I can, and help out where possible. Just think about it!”

And with that, he moves to the door to listen. Then he cracks the door to peek out, and in a flash he’s gone.

You are up and dressed and running down the hall to the common room. The group is there. It is morning.

    “What happened?”

Danya speaks. “It’s Sam. They’ve killed him.”

You stand stunned. You had grown to like him and it just feels wrong that he would be killed. He was much too nice.

“That’s not all.” You look back up at her. “The Neitarens are pulling out. We don’t even know how he died. We were woken up and told that his body had been received on their flagship, and that it was horribly gruesome. It came with a note that said their services were no longer required and it bore the Minister’s mark.”

“This is crazy, how could this have happened?”

Danya looks at you with a blank stare. “I’m not finished.  Sam was evidently a noble’s son and now there is talk that the fleet is just reforming into an attack position. This could get very ugly, very fast.”

The words of the Admiral burn in your mind. You tell the rest of the group what happened. Silence hangs heavy in the air, but not for long. A messenger arrives, out of breath. “I have a message from Barm; he says that things are not what he expected and that you should be extremely careful and not to separate.”

The messenger turns around and runs back the way he came.

*SAMVIMES (RUFAE), A ROLELESS INNOCENT, IS DEAD. DAY 3 HAS BEGUN*

Two new players hold the total number at 13. It takes 8 votes to lynch.

my instinct says go for [glow=red,2,300]SinisterDeath [/glow]

strongly, if you're glowing without complaint  ;D  Any reason why?

yep ;D

well, i'm the Finder. I viewed him and he came out as an evil assassin.

and now you'll ask me what I can back up my claim with.

why would I claim to be a Finder if I wasnt? well that is obvious, I could be evil, but if I really was, I would have to be a real good talker to get myself out of getting lynched tomorrow if the Lynch today was innocent. and lets face it, i'm not. :)I have been no threat to any of the other players here as I havent exactly been the most active poster here.

so why would I bother to take the risk of getting lynched? I dont think anyone would want that

as its a foolish risk to take. besides, we have reached a point in the game where anyone can claim to be finder to serve their own good. so I figured it would be best to claim it now.

and yes, I know I could be evil and claim it myself now, so really, anyways, what you do, the innocents will win. (maybe, unless the Black bonestone is used and do we really wanna take that risk?.)

so, if you lynch me now, the coroner will find that I am the Finder, or at least an innnocent, and you know we will have the assassin, but I do wish we take him out sooner rahter than later.

so basically, its lynch Sin now, and win the game, or lynch me, and risk the assassin being someone else tomorrow :)

yeah so thats why really.. Sin is evil *nods*

sorry for the messy post  :-\

Easy enough.  [glow=red,2,300]Sin[/glow]

Who did you view night 1?

And if we get a counterclaim . . . well, we continue to lynch Sin.

There is that chance, you are bluffing about being a finder to make me nervous, and by claiming to be a finder and saying I am a proved assassin, you will have effectively sped up the lynch (good thing, giving the possible following events). But What you really should ask your self is, if you lynch me now, what will you have lost unless you lynch me later?  ;)

So you are saying that you are not the Finder?  excellent

Tremendous.  Which means that without a counterclaim, we will have 4 confirmed innocents and 3 dead assassins, with 6 unknowns left.
