I know I self voted in at least 3 games, one of which I was wolf. Got lynched D1 as wolf. Longest I made it was D2 before lynch. Night capped, etc.

Username bias was also a factor in the early days. 

It was less the self vote and mostly everything that came before that.  the self vote just seemed like more confirmation from my POV.  But if you say you self vote as either alignment, okay, i guess. (but mostly, self voting is gross and almost always anti-town).

From the times I've played, sometimes it felt better to just get hammered and jump into dead chat, then it was to waste 36 hours bickering on my wagon without any of the posts helping figure out others alignments.

From what interaction I've had with Zander, his D1 reads were the exact opposite of what happened.
Zander thought Dice was Town and I was Wolf. Opposite was true. 😉

Okay, so the short of it is: SD made it very clear he didn't trust Zander and even in a world where he did, he didn't think Zander had good reads based on their last game which is his experience in mafia.  It's then notable that Zander voted Leelou 3 posts before he voted Dice.

Honestly, I thought he had a good chance at being scum.  Didn't like our back & forth and really thought he was going to flip scum and I'd do a little dance.

 

What do we know?  That the Doc (assuming that's Cory because no cc as of yet) blocked the scum NK, or the scum didn't shoot after seeing me post about vigging Zander D1.  I would imagine that's less likely, as scum would want dead bodies, so I'm going with Doc blocking the NK.

 

I usually holster N1 as a vig unless I feel confident, which is why I fired.  lolme

See, this I don't like particularly.  Everyone, and I do mean everyone, is more likely to be town than mafia. That's the point of the game.  You keep saying you can't read clov as a wolf at all, that you've never done it successfully, but this is the first time I've gotten you to clearly say you think he's town and it's because I pushed you into it.  I think it's interesting that you think you can townread him well but not wolfread him, yet in a game where you're not clearly townreading him you aren't using that as a tell that he could be a wolf, and when pushed you default to town.  Does that make sense?

From all of this my takeaway is that sinister is a bit lost, and that they should never make it to f3, but I'd not want to lynch them.  If they were a wolf they basically committed suicide, barring that this is some intense bus play from verb and their wolf team was inactive d1.  But again, those are the sorts of fringe scenarios we don't humor.

Darthe I think your evaluation metric might be too high here. I won’t deny SD looks bad from a “typical” town standpoint but I also think that’s not gonna work for this slot

 

if it flips wolf then I guess that’s on me but I don’t see it. I thought their stuff today chewing on the claims and how they might interact were good. Not unfakeable but legit effort into at least pretending to think

 

its better than the content from others this phase imo

The only time I've clearly ever town read him is after he yeeted mafia.  that hasn't happened yet, so I'm not sure what you want me to say.  Is there a world he could be mafia?  absolutely.  you asked for my read on him, so I gave it.  The reason I didn't want to make it is because I know that I'm not good at reading him before he's done something significant.  My approach to Chris most games is basically let him do his thing, see where it goes.  If his reads are lining up with mine great, if not, we usually try to hash them out.  If he's town, we've had high success with catching mafia and work really well together.  The problem is, up until we actually yeet mafia, it's kind of a "I'm going to treat you as town until I think I shouldn't."  Except the first game we ever played together, mafia!Chris has shot me N1 or N2.
