Remember the Aiel

remember it? before the switch to the club format there were many groups that did not survive the switch over. one of them being the beloved Aiel. a group i know several of you had belonged to, but unfortunately fell to a complicated raising system, and a few other issues beyond anyone's control. however, there were always people interested and ready to have some fun in the Aiel. 

 

well, a few of us would like to bring it back. to make an Aiel club. we've hashed out and streamlined the system, while keeping the core of what we loved. however we do need enough interest in active members to get things off the ground. our lovely Amyrlin has graciously ok'ed us to create a thread here to both garner and gauge interest in such a thing. 

 

so what say you?

I used to be a member of the Aiel, many years ago - my handle at the time was Fluffy Sedai ? I never had an Aiel character or anything though, only community involvement.

Could you maybe explain it a little.. More? I really didn't understand what it is about.. Is it a social group or more of a rp group..?

its a social group like here and shayol ghul based off the aiel people in the books

*adjusts glasses in a nerdy way* People keep telling Rand he looks like one because he's so tall. "tall as an aielman" It's mentioned the most when Rand's in Camelyn. Loial, Gawyn, and Elida all mention it. but it's all mysterious to the reader, cause we haven't met any.

 

but you don't see any of the society. Which is REALLY cool.

Yes the aiel waste is also mentioned a lot, and Raen's story about the dying aiel girl with the message, give some tidbits I can see the importance of to the story, but not much about how they actually live and what they do, maybe I'll learn something useful in book two.?
