  1. I lost my voice for the last few days. I've got it back now! but it's still weak
  2. Weekend question: I'm swamped with finals, so education's on my mind What have you learned through crafting? about your skill set, how you learn, your personality, the people around you, discoveries you've made through crafting, etc!
  3. I agree with Lily! feel better soon Maybe crafting and creating beats back the dark one or something like that
  4. Oh those rubber snakes look so derp and cute ❤️ I bet I could get them to bite their tails. What's the weave to melt stuff?
  5. Thank you for mentoring me this far! I look forward to more
  6. 'fraid i don't celebrate christmas, even secularly. I usually just buy toys for the kids in my family who do celebrate
  7. 1) My questions have been answered 2) no, it was fun and informative
  8. Real life got super busy the past two weeks. I've missed yall How are my fellow aspirants? I've only got two more weeks of school till winter break and I am so ready to be done with these classes.
  9. My favorite is roasted veggies I chop root vegetables and squash into sizes about as big as my thumb, and then definitely add an onion cut into big chunks. coat that all in olive oil, and add salt roast it at 375 F for an hour I usually add garlic and cumin to my roasted vegetables too
  10. I enjoy creating for that feeling of turning blankness into something. I struggle with depression, and find creating something as a great coping mechanism. When i'm feeling incredibly empty, it helps to show physically that doing one small thing can actually lead to a useful and enganging product. I also like to challenge myself to learn new techniques. i'll make things and then donate them or wait for someone to compliment it and then gift it to them. I don't really need seven pairs of gloves or scarves or what not. I just like the process and learning.
  11. There's also that the white flame is inside a circle of the ajah's color. i remember that cause he always needs to clarify that for the white ajah, the circle of color and flame are distinguished by a black outline. then silver embroidery, and then no detail on background colors. which, from Jordan, is so weird! he loves describing clothes.
  12. Hey circle! What inspires you to create?
  13. Hey Tower! Thanksgiving in the USA is coming up. It's a time for people getting together and eating So Much food! Break out your recipes to feed crowds, your favorite people pleasers, and your prize potluck* contributions! *i think potluck might be a term that changes depending where you are. if you have a different term for a meal where every one brings a dish to share, tell us that too!
  14. I've had a pretty fit 2019. I moved and got a job that isn't sitting at a cubicle for 8 hours a day, so i'm feeling much better this winter than last. I'm looking forward to this thread in 2020 also! This week I've had a lot, a LOT of soup for meals and been pretty lax about exercise. It's getting so dark, and my body is just in hibernation mode. I am going to uncover my excercise bike this week and take it for a spin!
  15. heh Knitting is a special interest of mine, so if i think someone's asking about it, i'll jump right to info dumping With the pokemon games i think there's a slight difference in what pokemon you can catch. I don't really know why they are always released as twin or triplet sets. except to get people to buy basically the same game twice? It's not something i know well enough to really explain ? and i picked sword cause I liked the cover art best.
  16. Ohhhhhh!!!! I'm very happy with that series. When i heard the creaters of Avatar the last Airbender and Legend of Korra were doing a new thing, I had to gobble it up.
  17. Warders' Guild--The Sword Captain is in charge, and that is JamesBrown --Serve and aid the WT/W forum by keeping activity levels up and helping with activities. They get to know all the Ajahs in order to be able to fit in and help out with any of them. There are 3 subgroups called disciplines: Ren'shai (physical activity), Me'arearth (philosophers), and Cuen'd'eren (emphatic).-- Blue Ajah--Currently, this is changing hands. It is Sooh, but there will be another sometime soon.--With the Dragonmount change over, there's not a lot of Blue activity to look over and get a good feel of the group. They're a small Ajah, but friendly! It seems they're the Fandom Ajah. There's a lot of freedom in their section of the tower to gush about your fandom/cause and find like minded folks. -- Brown Ajah--Blank is the head of the Ajah--The Bibliophile Ajah. They house the reading challenge for each year. This Ajah looks delightfully chatty, with big long threads. Love of learning is a major tenant of the Ajah, and then the group here is a great place to share about what we've learned. They've brought over a lot of old threads to the new format in a nicely typical archivist fashion. -- Green Ajah--Ryrin is the Captain General of the Ajah--The focus of the ajah is family and mutual support. Luckily we don't need to fight shadow spawn in Dragonmount! -- Grey Ajah--The Head Clerk is Elaevia--Main focus seems to be exploring hobbies in much the same way that Blues explore fandoms. Keep calm, and keep doing hobbies. There's lots of sharing of inspiration here. -- Red Ajah--Torrie is the head of the ajah (or was in 2016. i'm not sure if Torrie still is)--Red's have a big personality! They seem informal and close knit. I like how the lounge has wait staff, cause it does seem like a group that goes out for happy hour. I put their Hall of Fame thread as the second reference, since they've also gone to the trouble of porting over old threads. It helps keep their personality and closeness strong. -- -- White Ajah--Mashiara Sedai is the Head Reasoner--They have a history of promoting fitness and puzzles, which looks so fun. The section of the tower is fairly quiet, but energetic and welcoming. Yellow Ajah--I'm not sure, but I think Nyneve. she called herself Yellow Queenie The feeling I get from the Yellow section is people spreading joy. There's music, taking over the world to make it a better place, cute pictures of animals, and a comfort corner in the public forum. Definitely the place to go to cheer up, and cheer others up.
