Why didn't Suian Sanche executie Logain?

I don' know if this was covered in the books, but did they ever cover why Suian didn't have Logain executed after he was gentled?  I don't think the other nations were that okay with him still walking around as a "guess" of the White Tower, example or no.  Did she somehow sense that he was still ta'veren pre-Min's viewings?

They don't execute gentled men, basicly he would of been kept at the WT until he lost the will to live is my understanding.

Gentling was not punishment. It was used as necessity.

Execution of Logan would make the same sense as executing someone after foot amputation.

It’s a decent question, he caused war, lots of people died, Ghealdanin was destabilized. Gentiling and excecution would have been a reasonable punishment.  

Logain was not a darkfriend though.  And Aes Sedai only kill darkfriends.  That’s probably the most likely answer I think.

You're right about the war crime. It would make sense to return him to Gheldan for diplomatic points after gentling.
But that WT would have to work more diplomatically and less like bully.

The Aes Sedai could have shielded until the completion of trial while Logain in Ghealdan if an execution was expected. Logain didn’t commit any war crimes. War itself isn’t a crime.

Wasn't Ghealdan one of the nations where the leader barely had control over a portion of the country?  If so the county would not of been capable of such a trial.

Murandy and Altara are described that way, but not Ghealdan. The reader's first real look at Ghealdan is after it has been ravaged by the Prophet and it's rulers systematically murdered until they capitulate. The "broken" Ghealdan we see probably shouldn't be conflated with the country that existed prior to The Dragon Reborn.

 

Aside from the Aes Sedai's deathgrip on anything male channeler-related, the stigma and fear surrounding male channelers would likely make anyone want to distance themselves from such a person. Ghealdan (the rulers and constituents alike) would probably be glad to see Logain taken away.

And even Murandy would have made an exception and collectively backed the leader for a day or two until a trial could be had, if such a situation was needed like when Egwene passed with Aes Sedai

My guess is they would want him out of the country, to hold him there and a trial is to risk his followers trying to free him.  Much easier to let the Aes Sedai take him away.  Also wouldn't make a lot of sense to gentle him at the WT then take him back to Ghealdan to face a trial, when he is going to lose the will to live anyway.  Best to just keep him at the WT, make sure he doesn't cause any trouble and his followers can't free him until he dies anyway.
