Let's try a different direction. What is the difference in me explaining without being asked vs. me telling Tripped/Clov I wouldn't lynch Nyn today and then answering after they inevitably ask me 'why'?

 

1) Because your holding out any judgement based purely on potential. Potential is worthless.

3) The difference is the response to "why". Saying "She hasnt been wolfy" or "She is afk like she said she would be" are both perfectly valid answers. Instead you went with a spiel about potential and "later she will be towny" crap. 

 

Had you said either of the first two, you would have been fine in my book. Its perfectly valid this early to just say "She hasnt been wolfy, so I wont lynch her". Its a simple response. Its factually true. Why go with a spiel about potential unless your prepping something for the future?

And a little bit of background for those who don't know - I was pissed off last game because I literally went for dinner with Darc straight after work, left at about half ten or whatever it was, she knew I had work in the morning, and then posted at ~1am I think it was where was I and why hadn't I been posting. So yeah.

 

I leave saying you can all think what you like about me, you can all accuse me and you can all vote me off but please be looking elsewhere while I'm gone and people are still talking about how I'm busy. It's a distraction.

lol and what would I be prepping? For Nyn to come in here and start punching people in the mouth and putting boots to asses? I definitely hope so. That's why I'm willing to wait - plain and simple. You can call it crap, but I'm pretty sure the majority of people in this game would agree with me that Nyn is an easy read because she projects so much and that waiting it out a little longer is perfectly valid because she is a strong/vocal Townie.

Here's what you seem to be ignoring though: Everyone in this game has, at one point, had a strong town performance. Are you just going to not lynch anyone, hoping they will come into their own and be that strong towny game again?

 

No, of course not, that's ridiculous. So what makes Nyn special? You didn't focus on her being away from the game for why you refuse to accuse her, you focused on her potential to be a strong towny in the future. So you can't use that as your defense for the post.

 

As for not getting the same courtesy, are you low-key threatening me? Is that what's happening here? Your response to all of this isn't that I am trying to figure you or your posts out, but to say "Be careful Len, I may not give you the time to prove yourself".

That last line wasn't really necessary. I don't actually believe you'd be upset because someone was getting a pass that maybe wasn't likewise being extended to you.

 

I do take issue with you attacking me over this point though. You can argue the semantics about what I said, but the intent is all the same. Nyn said she'd be busy, and thus I am willing to table her. I wholeheartedly agree that potential doesn't matter. If Nyn is Town, I want her alive and thus I am willing to give her time hoping that she can get involved, even in spurts. If she underwhelms further along in the game, I/we can reassess. I have a hard time wrapping my head around why you'd take issue with that other than to think you see an opportunity to take out Nyn early before she can settle into the game.

 

Like, how are you going to say I'm wrong or whatever when you don't even have an issue with Nyn yourself?

I have no idea how Nyn is. I havnt played with her in like... 2 years. And what I remember is us being on a wolf team together.

 

As for your intent, reference my conversation with Clov. We already had that talk. Basically, I'm not sure, but its pinged me the most, its D1 and I have nothing else to go off of. At the very least, I see no reason for a towny to be concerned with me bringing it up for others to think about. Its D1. We have to start somewhere. Why not start there?

 

Heck, this entire conversation is gonna make for some great reaction judging when people get back, with plenty of time before end of D1. Look at that, even if we both disagree we have actual content. This plus Seph's darc hangup should give us plenty to atleast get somewhere useful.
