gonna feel silly when it's proved true, considering my role, even though Brad is a minor character he is THE ONLY TECHNICIAN. Judge Farris was feeling his age these days.

He wasn't ready to lie down and die just yet, mind you. But when you survived the apocalypse, only to watch your closest friends brutally murdered, well... you started to feel like you've lived too long. Something had to be done about these agents of Flagg's who had infiltrated the Free Zone.

The Judge was certain if they put their heads together, he and the remaining members of the Free Zone Committee could pull together a plan.

It was to that end he was headed to see Stuart Redman, who had assumed the role of figurehead almost by default when Mother Abigail was killed. Stu had lost his Frannie early in the madness that had Boulder gripped in its clutches, but he'd done his level best to keep law and order in the Free Zone and carry out his charge. Yes, Stu Redman was a good man, the right man for this job.

The Judge knocked sharply on Redman's front door and waited a few moments. He heard no sounds stirring within, so he knocked again, and tried the handle. It was unlocked.

"Stu?" Judge Farris cautiously poked his head into the silent house. The curtains were drawn, and the morning light filtered dimly into the front room.

The Judge realized he'd been correct. Something needed to be done, all right. But it was too late for Stu Redman to help.

Katiora - Stu Redman, Town Jailkeeper - has been killed.
