Need to get some resolution from Kat but if she’s town too then this game will be exceedingly harder than I thought going into Night.

Kat was the other major train yesterday other than Ed. I'm of the opinion a Vig probably tried targeting Kat. It'd resolve the 2nd day 1 train and we'd get information from her death and train same as if lynched. Redirect could have been mafia or friendly protecting onto a more inactive person. Doesn't seem a coincidence Amega was an inactive. That being said, I'm not really certain who'd try to protect Kat as town. 

 

Also, hate to be that guy but Ed probably has changed somewhat based on the information given.

Ugh... I'm going to have to go through this again... No Lynch exists for a reason. If you can't in good conscience find a suitable lynch candidate it's in the best interest to not lynch in my opinion. 

 

If you automatically assumes that's scummy, fine. Not much I can do about that. But I would like an explanation of Why it sets off your scumdar. What advantage would it bring me as mafia?

The reveal made Ed's continued existence as a villager somewhat questionable but he wasn't a wolf at game start so we've got that.  He's off the table today short of some wild PR revelations.

It benefits mafia 100% of the time in that scenario because they get to choose who dies instead of the collective.

But no, I don't agree. The mafia still gets 100% decision at night regardless of who's lynched. The collective kills someone AND mafia get to kill. 

 

I'm not saying Day 1 should always be no lynch, but it's realistically the most ambiguous time with the least amount of info and highest chance of friendly fire.

There are particular times in the game when they make sense, I agree with that. I disagree that yesterDay in particular was a good time.

 

As far as how it benefits you, that depends. If Kat is scum and you’re her partner then obviously you didn’t want to throw more weight on her wagon. You’d already taken the stance that voting an inactive wasn’t a good choice either so took that angle away from yourself. Those were the two major wagons and you chose neither, instead essentially dropping a vote that had no impact. That’s about all I have to work with right now.
