Question about a scenario

Hey guys, I don't know whether I have to ask permission for this, so I'll just drop this here lol

Elessar and I would like to RP the following (my character will be a fully raised Aes Sedai) :

 

Myrrhi and her Warder would visit the Sea Folk/Athan'an Miere and make a journey to Aile Dashar, an island group located northwest of Arad Doman.

They would be tasked by the Tower to steal something heavily protected on the islands like a Ter’angreal (unknown use > only used here as accessory to the scenario). The thing would be used by a suspected Darkfriend cell over there.

 

Can we RP this? ^^

Right, sorry for the delay, Chae. This month's been crazy with orders and my tax return's due in tomorrow by midnight so I'm a bit flustered lol.

 

My main concern with this outline is the point we're at in Book 11. Given the Bowl of Winds has happened and the Sea Folk are essentially now allies, stealing anything from them on the down low seems like something the WT wouldn't sanction in case it created unnecessary problems. On top of that, people don't generally seem to just visit the Sea Folk isles but rather, the Sea Folk travel out into the world to meet people and trade from their ships. Then there's the issue that at least a chunk of the isles are under Seanchan control so any Sister going there would be putting herself at great risk of being taken damane... and I think by this stage, the Sisters and the Tower are familiar enough with the Seanchan that they wouldn't be reckless or over confident of that risk.

 

Feel free to come back to me with justification or an alteration of the plot to make it work. Kat, any thoughts to add?

Tay, you picked up on all the things I would have mentioned too. I like the idea in theory, but I can't see it being Tower sanctioned for the political reasons you pointed out. The personal side of it seems to scream suicide (or collaring -- same thing) and something the Warder should possibly try to avoid leading his Aes Sedai into, but if done with the right motivation and reasoning for how they decide to go, I wouldn't turn down a character driven attempt. Just be really careful on the realistic outcomes. I don't know how you'd get away with it given them having the reputation and skills to back that reputation up and they have the upper hand of it being in their land.

Oh man, if you need/want someone to RP Sea Folk, I've been wanting/wishing/dying to do it for SO LONG. I have a whole ship and crew ready to go! (Well, I would need to submit a bio, officially, but I have a crew in my own files).

We've hit a slight obstacle for the moment which hopefully we can work out but that's great to know, Jagen, thanks. I don't know if they intended it as a closed or open RP but I'm sure they'll both appreciate the offer. I'm fairly sure there are several NSW Sea Folk but not sure that we had anyone actually active in terms of PC's.

I know I've always wanted to be active as Sea Folk... perhaps I'll submit a bio for a Sailmistress, and through her control a crew :D  That way I can be there in case anyone needs to travel by ship!

I’m tempted to submit a bio for both a Sailmistress and her Cargomaster (who may or may not leave the ship eventually) because I’ve had two SF characters I’ve wanted to play for years here.
