My reaction is that this feels like redirection. I admit that DPR's push was weak, but he did in fact explain it. Rand just asking a question that's already been answered and then rushing on to other topics is pinging me. Also, his content so far reads a lot like my own content last game (when I was scum, btw): It's a lot of agreeing with the most active players and throwing out a weak sus just to look the part. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was the first one to flesh out a case against Adella, Sooh kinda just voted without really explaining.  Even now, I believe I'm still the strongest pusher on her, even though there really aren't any strong pushes right now.  This is the exact opposite of a weak sus, idk where you're getting that read.

I wasn't trying to express disagreement with either part.  I was trying to show that I liked your answers.  FWIW I don't really feel anything IRT Hallia - positively OR negatively - and I really don't have any issue with Adella (or anyone) giving reads like that.  I give reads off posts others might not care about all the time.  But that's not really relevant.

 

What is relevant is that I understand where you're coming from and can see YOU caring about it.  The second point especially seems like a townie thought process.

 

 

And yes, that vote on Iron is a joke based on last game.  I argued he was scum (correctly) based on my feeling he was fabricating his reads, since they weren't consistent with what he said in between them.  The inconsistency had a lot less to do with his alignment and a lot more to do with a misunderstanding of a definition lol

Lol sry, my gif game needs to get stronger, for some reason I remember that gif as a disagreement gif.  And yeah I can understand why you wouldn't have the same reads as me this early in the game, there's a lot of difference in how people get their early reads here, its when people's reads start matching to the same person that we start getting somewhere.

I can't fully explain why but this just really feels off to me. I read this as Adella finding a random reason to call someone town, and try to gain their trust, which would imply to me that Nynaeve is more town.

Let's say you're right, I don't see how you can object to the votes if you haven't objected to the people that voted you or called them out on their voting you. You have said the principle of the thing is what's important, so you must not have been that concerned. I feel like you're lying or are covering something up because you're concerned about how town will respond to it. Just fyi I am a sucker for the truth. Yes, keeping it to the chest for now. We can go through them together and I'll explain why I should not reveal them yet, especially considering the read is fluid and it is still early. The lecturing tone won't work on me - I'm often guilty of the same method myself, heh.

 

There is no lapse in logic - you are just focusing on the word "quick" when the operative word is "three". I even bolded the word "number", so I don't see why you aren't following.

 

How have I not objected to the people? I said I think one of them is scum....isn't that objecting to the person(s) voting me? I will trust people in this game eventually, once I have solid town reads. Part of the reason I'm not sharing specific reads just yet is because of the way I came about obtaining them. There may be a method to my madness. ;-)

Agree with Sooh's vote, but confused to why that vote happened, some explanation there would be nice before I can get a read.

 

Verbal and Nynaeve seem normal in their interactions, and Adella's thing for Nynaeve makes me think both of them are town.

 

DPR I have no idea, null read, though I liked him beating the grass right out the gate. Also damn it, you remember my scum slip up too :/

Maybe jumping on a train isn't the right wording, but the popcorn comment after Verbal's call out of Ben seemed to me as if you were sitting on the side, content if it went somewhere and got Ben lynched, but just vague enough to not commit.  And I feel like that's been most of your game right now.

I dunno. The guy who was making the case about you and Halliia jumping in on Verb asking how I knew he was town (which I still don't know), and then Hallia seeming to distance herself from you is a little convincing. Not much, but a little. It's about the most I see to go on so far, anyway.

 

I feel like no one is standing out as scum right now, but there are some tenuous attempts to throw subs on people, like the Adele/Hallia team theory, early pickings on Rand over the DM swearing policy, and Verbal's shot at me for joking with Nyn about killing towns, but no glaring scum reads.

 

Verbal looks like he's trying the hardest to root out scum, so he gets a town lean from me. Rand is trying too, so he gets a small town lean, and everyone else seems pretty neutral. Soon looked suspicious early on for her Adele. OTR and then taking awhile to address it, plus being snippy and snarky (her words) which might be an attempt to keep people away from her, but it's D1, and we're not even halfwY to deadline, so I think I have time to develop better reads.

 

There is actually decent wifi at the campsite itself, so I can play at night (its night for me now), but I am tired after driving 8 hours and setting up camp, so I don't know how late I'll stay up tonight. At least I got caught up. :)

Honestly LZM, you're playing consistent with how you've played lately, so I think this tunnel on me is probably an indication that you're town. I just want to point out that I don't think any of your tunnels have worked well for you lately, so please try to keep an open mind throughout this game. Something someone says can ping you one way or another, but we need to look at the big picture and players as a whole.

 

Personally, I'm much quicker to name someone town than I am scum, considering only 25% of the players are scum, it's my favorite part of the new playstyle. 

 

However, if I had to choose, right now I would say scum is likely Sooh, because of her very strong reactions. Hallia, for the reasons others have pointed out, she hasn't posted any of her own thoughts but has been around quite a bit. And I'm thinking Rand for the third, but that honestly is a bit tainted by some OMGUS. It can't be that tainted though, cause LZM doesn't seem scummy for voting for me. I think it's how he is claiming Hallia has had more content than I have, even though she and I have talked about the same things and my thoughts are much more detailed and fleshed out, I have answered questions, and even repeated myself to some who seemed to ask questions that I have already explained, in the interest of being open and honest a town.

I agree with this statement, but I would like to say that I previously thought that DPR was just beating the grass.  However, his insistence, as I read it at least, as making it a legitimate reason is a little worrying,  because its honestly a bs point, and he's good enough to know that.  Hell, even anyone who plays here and at JN frequently probably has had moments where they forget about the CoC, or its specifications.

 

 

 

Idk what it is, but there's something about Verbal's reaction to being voted that seems over the top to me. It almost reminds me of Zander's reactions to the slightest bit of doubt and pressure. I suppose it could be from coming off of another game just recently though.

I've seen people do this to Verb a bunch of times. He's reacting the same way pretty much that he always does, I don't see any overreaction here. *Yours* on the other hand though, does seem a bit much, I don't see what he did to annoy you.

I literally almost forgot about distancing as a concept haha, and I think I've played in a few games where an overemotional argument is used as distancing between teammates.  However, my read as Verbal acting like normal (which I agree with you on) makes this seem less likely, because if Verbal was trying to force an emotional argument, I feel like it would seem more.. well, forced.

Nyn- town lean. Again, more of a gut read. Could be wrong.

 

Sooh- confused. Still pondering. Not null, but haven't decided.

The point isn't that you said "popcorn", at all.  The point is that you essentially fence sat/egged on Verbal's comment on Ben to make it seem bigger than it really was.  Hally did it too, and I did address that.

The only reason that Hally isn't at the same point you are is 2 main things (yes I realize how stupid that sentence sounds, but screw it, I already typed it out)

 

1) I had a gut town read on Hally before the whole Ben thing happened due to her defense of Verbal.  It seemed genuine, aligned with my knowledge of how Verbal would usually play, and in the scenario that she was scum and Verbal is town, it would've been unnecessary to defend him that accurately.

 

2) The popcorn thing isn't the only thing that's been bugging me about you.  It was also the off-hand Nyn town read that made me think that you looked like scum trying to get a townie on your side by liking them.

 

I am trying to make sure I don't tunnel on you though, because i have a bad habit of doing that myself, and if I'm wrong, I want to be able to correct myself.  And there have been somethings you've said that give me a gut town read on you, but its outnumbered by the gut scum read I have, and its made lesser by the fact that most of the things that give me a gut town read on you are more based on the personality you're displaying in your posts, and I don't know you well enough to match up your personality with your alignment.  Overall, you're my biggest scum read right now, and for good reason imo considering the point we're at, but I'm not 100% set on you're going down today, things can change.  On that topic, I do like the fact that you're giving a lot of responses to people, but I'm wary of giving people who do that a town read, because for me at least, its something I do regardless of alignment and doesn't really mark me as a tell.  It does it make it easier for me to read you though, which is something you should be happy about.

Hmm, Rand I do want to recognize the fact that you're trying not to tunnel. It does make me feel a bit better in regards to your alignment. Still not feeling town on you either. There is a chance it's just difference in playstyle, lord knows I run into that issue often enough around here lol.
