Tinfoil on BFG still exists. The non-Town claim fits the off feeling I had about her in Hackers, no idea yet what exactly it is. I'm no further along with her than yesterday, when I shared concerns her role could be independent winner/scum rather than the way she paints it as Town aligned.

She's playing a game of appeasement.

No, there can be a protective role that failed their protection

And any roles shouldn't out

Stuff like this.

It reeks of "I know any mention of revealing will be perceived as scummy by some people so I'm going to just say no."

Town!BFG thinks it out. Maybe draws the same conclusions but doesn't just state it like that.

She's not town siding in the sense of approaching the game post-claim as if she might as well have randed villager.

She's not really being opportunistic irt anyone else either besides trying to avoid eye contact, there's just no wind in these sails.

I don't believe there's some super bizarre mechanic in a basic game that allows scum to win at F6 and she holds an uncountered explanation for the lack of a kill N1, above and beyond the obvious improbability that she drops a claim like this out of the blue without major suspicion as a wolf.

Skimmed to 1700 here from where I was yesterday.

Feeling like the BFG/setup debate has been pushed ad nauseum and to the distraction of further scum-hunting.

I feel like the TLDR version is:

BFG has made a claim to be not-Town.

Town never makes that claim, it's possible she's Scum/3P but ?more likely she's 3p.

That is not likely to be an imminent threat to Town.

There's an argument for lynching BFG

- She's claimed not Town - Town never makes that claim. She either wins with Town/independently or she is scum.

- I don't trust that she wins with Town

There's an argument for not lynching BFG

- If her claim is true, mafia most need to lynch BFG here.

DPR's primary focus is lynching BFG.

Shad's primary focus is lynching DPR.

Shad and DPR are going hammer and tongs over mechanics/BFG related chat. Possibly passion, possibly wolfy on either/both parts, distracting and circular either way.

I get that. I hate when I'm super sure and no one is listening but... there is usually a reason when people don't listen. Maybe we just don't have that gut feeling you're getting,

note for anybody who wants to whing at me that i havent pushed shad enuff. this above is a good explanation of why i refuse to just continually scream at you to listen.

What are your thoughts in Dice? If people aren't going to agree on DPR, can we agree elsewhere? If DOR is scum, he isn't the only one left in the game. You've got to have another option.

I've had DPR/Dice as most likely scum team all phase. Dice is fairly consensus so that one's getting resolved regardless. DPR needs attention.

Short version cuz I'm annoyed, but want to say it anyway.

Bfg is probably telling the truth, because exactly that what she claimed will get her killed eventually. She shouldn't be the lynch today.

But because of her "leaving the game when she wins" she has to go before lylo. So if we mislynch once, she's next.

In response to Dice and Eldrick (I think it was) - I'm sorry you don't like my posts - here are some responses.

1. I posted comments on the quotes to help focus my own thoughts. I've said this before when I play - I'm not good at casing because it's hard for me to put thoughts together. I used that to do so.

2. Think what you want about the validity of my claims - but Dice, with the exception of Shad and and now BFG has avoided taking a stance on anything. He flirted with the whole Alf thing and then stepped away from it. Even with Shad, he back pedaled - it wasn't worth his breath.

I'm fine with my vote where it is.

I never said I didn't like them. I said I glazed over them and missed the point, so I asked you to clarify.

I don't necessarily agree or disagree with you, personally. It makes it hard for me to bounce thoughts with you, because I think DPR is likely to be town based off of what I have said. I dont see anything to argue about there, because it's really a gut feeling. I'm trying to go with my gut on this game, but I also may be having heartburn or something cause it keeps changing lol.

I had you solidly town D2 but I don't like you interactions today, they're giving me an inky feeling and I have read them 3 times now and still can't out my finger in why. Again, just my gut. I wouldn't be shocked on a Shad/Dice s/s team, but I feel much stronger about Dice at this point.

What are your thoughts in Dice? If people aren't going to agree on DPR, can we agree elsewhere? If DOR is scum, he isn't the only one left in the game. You've got to have another option.

I truly have no clue what you're talking about. I had a fit in P + C, but I feel I've remained quite calm in this game, I've continued to give my thoughts, and yes it has been frustrating feeling as I do and seeming to have no one wholeheartedly agree, but thats a part of the game and I think I've handled it well, kept my thoughts straight, and my mind settled with scum reads decided.

*shrug* oh well.

I would not describe your game as calm. The word "agressive" comes to mind.

I really don't see DPR as scum, but also firmly believe you and Dice aren't teammates.

Would be willing to move back to dice. If he does flip scum, I'd take a closer look at DPR

Checked start of day first, Tig hadn't mentioned Cuth prior to Shanti claiming 100% certainty he was scum.

I'm cool with a hammer any time after like 2am EST. I get lazy and inattentive if I can't post while I read.

Which is probably worth reflecting on if they flip town, but we're not not lynching a red peek.

You type out this wonderful paragraph of me overreacting, No Mafia didn't get their NK, but I was wrong about LZM being mafia, AND we lost Darthe...two town losses when I expected none. I go for Shad because he was a last minute switch, which in previous games people mentioned being scummy, sorry for trusting vet players. I stand by my reasons because they were legit reasons, he DID seem scum, I went ahead and defended myself and put the information out there because well, who wouldn't question someone on the lynch train? My scum to town list is better than sitting back and letting everyone make assumptions when I feel strongly about something and want to point it out. That isn't my style and never will be.

And to me saying that to Cuth it was actually both Shad and Cuth that I was stating it to and they were starting to twist my words and confusion into making me look guilty and like I was catching myself up in lies.

I didn't jump quickly, Shad's arguments were just better than Cuth's and they were both top scum reads so that is just grasping at straws.

To be fair you never really did answer my initial questions so much as reset the next day.

But I need to reread all of that more thoroughly with scum!Cuth in mind once I'm caught up.

Research is EXHAUSTING. I thought shad mentioned the concept of bfg being removed when she wins first. Thought there might be something there. Turns out she said it first, so that was a waste.

almost at the point that shad starts going after dpr, tho. Gonna take a break and tackle this later. Time to watch some mindless videos :)

I am with Shanti on Shad. Kronos likes dice for the vote though and he was the talking head today so thats cool because I can see both. All of this back and forth with BFG is making my eyes cross but I really dont see the big issue. Seems like she can be dealt with later either way...

Also if you read our qt later you will see I started really seeing Shad as scummy around 9pm Saturday. So it is not out of no where.

I think Cass or someone had a few questions for me and I will get to them. I skipped them for now while I was catching up on the massive amount of posts I missed.

My experience with DPR was when he was 3p, and therefore not scum hunting. He was story telling. I don't see that here, so I feel good about him.

DPR's scum meta is not "he tells stories instead of playing".

Honestly I don't have a good head for what distinguishes his games, but look at Murder Mystery if you want a proper recent scum example from a standard/basic game.

I will accept that the generalization that "3p don't hunt scum" is faulty. But they don't have to, and in that game he wasn't.

I didn't say it was his meta. I was comparing this game to that one. He was spinning stories there and isn't here.
