Killa+Kronos ~in need of a reread

Dice ~Dice has gotten better at Dicing as scum so we'll see, the stubbornness is a good look, needs a lot more content

Adella ~mostly liked how she handled my questions, haven't seen a reply to the last one yet

Tigraine ~lack of anything glaring so far where I would half expect there to be

LedZepMan ~curious about the people claiming this looks like his last town game, because I thought he was pretty unreadable there and then he got peeked town

DreadPirateRoberts ~nothing yet

Darthe ~nothing yet, that pop-in vote and disappearance could be anything

Alfred Jodocus ~distinguished from DPR/Darthe because he seemed eager to get going and then didn't

 

 

WRT Shanti - Her play is totally different to Peg + Cat?

 

WRT LZM - IMO it looks like his last Town game because he's not forming cases etc early. It doesn't look like his last Town game because there's been no questioning/reads and his only real comments so far are 'watching' you and a meta comment that I'm different. 

 

I don't hate these bottom four, but it bothers me somewhat as a WTL since they're all the lowest volume players. The ?possiEZ clearing of Shanti and Dice, and to some extent myself and BFG bothers me here.

 

I think I'd put Tig above Dice/Adella at this point, and move Shanti down.   

 

 

When did you decide my play was TOTALLY different when lir you said it was pretty much the same just rapid fire difference?

Lack of interest at eod suggests that Alf was town for lolreasons, and I'd not put huge amounts of faith in it

Alf's been absent for so long at this point I'm not sure I'd put any stock into that.

Trying to figure out what both of you are saying - do you think alf is town or scum?

 

 

I think there's a decent chance he's scum.

 

It's not like that's a read I can develop further because he's not here.

 

He was excited to play and then didn't play.  Way more people dislike being scum than don't and I've seen multiple other strangers peace out shortly after reading a scum role pm.  There's less of a guilt compulsion to stick it out for your team when no one knows who you are anyway.

 

Or he could just be busy.  /shrug  The immediate shift in his interest level and his subsequent disappearance is all I have to work with.

 

@BFG generic apathy about being lynched doesn't really count if the player doesn't care about the game in general.  Thoughts on that?

 

 

@ Shad - why do you think he's scum? You've expressed that opinion quite a bit, so please don't come back with reasons why you can't list reasons. Just lay 'em out.

Thoughts on Tig at this stage - not enough actual game-related thoughts from her ITT; the *stares suspiciously* at Shanti is possibly off-kilter given that she said Shanti + Pep isn't sus to her specifically, circles about her only relating the comment to Peg + Cat after I mentioned it. Don't hate her questioning me, but it initially bothered me that the quote she uses doesn't have the whole story/all her responses. 

 

Re-reading, could just be a cross in our wires since in my mind the focus was on me asking her if she found extra pep a bad thing wrt Shanti since she called it out, and the way she quotes it she's reading it as me correcting her that Shanti was peppy.

Or you can view a game as trying to find enough villagers on the roster that the scum will be lynched by default.

 

We all do a bit of both, at least subconsciously, but a lot of especially older players pretend the latter is useless.  Imo it's of at least equal value.

They are both comfortable with their posts. Neither of them is taking part in the "extra" conversation, or trying to make conversation. 

 

So far, Shad Case and BFG are steering the game. Dice has had a bit of influence and you've posted quite a bit. 

 

The difference between their posts and yours is that you don't seem to be pushing an agenda and sticking your neck out, if you are scum, won't work out later in the game. 

 

It's easy to get all caught up in the posting, but what is actually being contributed and by whom? Early int eh game, a townie who doesn't know much is more valuable to the town by not posting a bunch of spec.

Figured that out later actually. My laptop is ghetto and I couldn't tell half of "Cass?" was colored green. It was a read statement. Comes off quite differently without the color.

I don't generally derive "defensive" from playfulness and smiley faces. I could see thinking it's an attempt to butter people up maybe? but not defensive.

I routinely ask for links to games as a wolf because it's easy appearances and I don't have to more than 30 second skim them to have a baseline when I'm not actually concerned with alignments.  Cass is villageryish because she's Cassing, not going to worry about her at this point.

 

That being said DL is in just a little over 24 hours so more content from most of you would be quite nice.  My wtl is exactly not Cass or Shanti right now.

 

Again, sorry if this was addressed, I'm attempting to process this like its my first time reading any of it. So quoting and posting things that stand out is helpful. 

Why is it a scum thing you do, but you don't consider it scummy of Cass to do it?

 

 

It's a meta line, not a "scum do x" line.  Cass BFG and I will routinely research other games as villagers.  BFG made a positive note of Cass doing that, I pointed out that it's an easy thing to fake as a wolf, ergo null.

Alexander7 did it last game too actually, after some initial effort.  But it was only a few hours from EoD and his slot already had votes and I thought it would be a dick move to town to sub him out before N1.

@Shanti DPR believes that effort is scummy and a good villager just sits back and lets wolves run the show. 

 

Probably a harsh characterization but that's the best I've been able to make of him over our first few games.

My morning brain is really struggling to follow this. 

 

Nothing is "properly clearing" of anyone except mod confirmation.  I'm speaking generally in terms of degrees, not in absolutes.  Mafia is a game played by individuals and they should be read as individuals.

 

That EoD was trash and EoD1 of last game was trash and town needs to get out of the habit of doing it that way.  I would much rather someone other than myself take a stance at EoD because I already know my alignment, but I'm still not going to sit back and wash my hands of the situation because most of the field doesn't want to play ball?  Darthe was completely null for me and I had reason to suspect LZM that was not remotely strong but still something.  Lynch the scummy people.

 

If that doesn't address what you're looking for ask me again when I'm not half asleep.

 

 

My advice at this point is don't bother, it's mostly based on the consideration Alf may be scum and Scum wouldn't want Alf in the pool of random lynch, and me reading your original post as a lot of fluff plus 'I thought LZM had a better chance of flipping scum than Darthe by a hair' as you were saying you thought Darthe had a chance of flipping scum. Which contradicted your previous null read of him and could've just been cover for the move after the fact. 

 

Plus concerns of AtE/overjustification and I generally prefer people to vote who they think's scummiest/I didn't value "If LZM flipped scum I'd be clear" until I re-read without the bias. 

 

I'll continue tinfoiling, but atp I don't see that you'd vote Alf where you did if you're WW, and I don't know that you'd go to the effort of shifting the vote on a villager as Wolf if he is Town.
