I'll tell myself it's reasonable that I couldn't soul read everybody in 200 posts without knowing you while I cry myself to sleep cya. Nin sooh seph bothered me seph the least nin for the worst reason I think their tone is just strange to me

Not sure how you should read me, I probably defend more villagers as a villager, but I can say my strategy coming in way to find a wolf partner who didn't want to play very much and bus them day one. Now it's mine to sit around and read and do what I can reading people I'm mostly unfamiliar with. I don't hate Sooh this game. Lynching an inactive was 0% a joke, Zander

1.I dont know why you feel so confident on Dice as he fold most people the last couple games INCLUDING YOU in the Fight Club game.

1. I think "so confident" is a strong use of words - especially on D1 - but my town lean on him is based on him not avoiding the thread and not using cliches in every post. I just feel decent about his slot right now.

So insta my bad Soohray, I just get worked up sometimes about comments like these because even tho ive been wrong on people and stuff i still feel like no one puts more amount of time and effort i do in games regardless of whether Im right or wrong and still feel like I try a lot more then most others do.

OoooKay, so in the sign-up thread, the "in" post I was remembering form Cory was #31, which is not an actual "in" so much as an acknowledgement of being listed as in the game.

Regardless, dude was signed up to play, then he dropped, then he edited his drop posts. So there's that.

I think this Cory thing is stupid. We have no reason to believe he is in the game, it was advertised as a 13 or 16p game, which leads me to believe the Laughing Man was going to be in the game regardless of actual player numbers.
This argument about whether or not Cory is in the game, when we have no evidence in the actual game only in the signup thread, to support it smells of fear mongering to me.

I like this in terms of line of thought I like this.

Last game she appeared to want to spend as little time as possible in the game thread. Already this game she's around more and hangs out for a bit. I think that's the main difference, real time interaction vs perpetual catchup mode.

Dice: I don't think I'll ever be able to read Dice with confidence. I got lucky two games ago, and last game he fooled me again. This game I like that he's clearly being attentive and picking up on mistakes and discrepancies. I don't like all the off-topic chatter. Idk. He seems relaxed throughout though, so prolly a good sign.

Niniel hasn't showed enough individual reads since returning for me to feel confident about her. A whole block of catchup consensus reads don't really add much. I'm not going to write her off just yet, as I really liked what she brought up in her OP, but I need more.

"But what about the leaked images?"

"Can you tell us more about your financial ties to Serano Genomics, Superintendent-General?"

"Do you intend to refer this case to a higher level?"

The reporters' questions came flooding in. The story had gone viral since Section 9's original leak. "The rumor is a lie," Daido shot back dismissively. "And besides, these are classified images that don't belong in the newspaper."

"How can they be classified if they are fake, sir?"

"The entire Laughing Man investigation is classified, obviously. I am giving this conference to assure you that the story you've been shamelessly pushing around is nothing but a myth. I---"

The Superintendent-General was cut off abruptly as one of his subordinates began to twitch and grunt beside him.

"Look, you're giving poor Takeda here a heart attack with your baseless questions. ...Takeda?" Daito turned his attention as his aid continued to sputter and shake.

"D....Daito.... something is taking me.... this is....."

"This is your final warning."

The gasp was audible as every witness saw Takeda's face replaced by that of the Laughing Man. A live hack of every pair of eyes in the building. Was this the real deal?

"You will tell the public the truth, or you will die Daito."

"The.... there's nothing to tell! Guards, arrest this man!" Daito didn't need to wait for a reaction. Security was already piling onto the stage and driving Takeda to the ground. But the Laughing Man's face was gone, leaving behind only a very confused public official.

I dunno wtf to think about this Laughing Man stuff other then I think hes Towny but he basically sounds like a much less bad ass and cyborg version of the dude from V for Vendetta.

Imma say that it sounds like somebody is getting info. Beyond that, it's pointless to spec imo.

Did you answer Nyn's question about why you treated the 2 inactives differently? I didn't see it, but I've been half-watching.

OoooKay, so in the sign-up thread, the "in" post I was remembering form Cory was #31, which is not an actual "in" so much as an acknowledgement of being listed as in the game.

Regardless, dude was signed up to play, then he dropped, then he edited his drop posts. So there's that.

Recruitment mention posts incoming.

I think this Cory thing is stupid. We have no reason to believe he is in the game, it was advertised as a 13 or 16p game, which leads me to believe the Laughing Man was going to be in the game regardless of actual player numbers.

This argument about whether or not Cory is in the game, when we have no evidence in the actual game only in the signup thread, to support it smells of fear mongering to me.

I like this in terms of line of thought I like this.

Last game she appeared to want to spend as little time as possible in the game thread. Already this game she's around more and hangs out for a bit. I think that's the main difference, real time interaction vs perpetual catchup mode.

So, does anyone else feel like this mystery laughing man is giving mafia an excellent way to blend in on D1? I mean, you can literally look like you're doing tons by just thinking of outlandish ideas for this npc, but in truth you're just searching for a distraction.

Killa play style this game is entirely different, and seems more bold? Which is a good thing, and I'm glad she is posting more just something IIA keeping a eye on. I liked Zander's questioning over her nyn read.

Zander I have her as town mainly over the ate post, and there was another I liked I believe though that's the only 1 that sticks out atm.

"The entire Laughing Man investigation is classified, obviously. I am giving this conference to assure you that the story you've been shamelessly pushing around is nothing but a myth. I---"

The Superintendent-General was cut off abruptly as one of his subordinates began to twitch and grunt beside him.

"Look, you're giving poor Takeda here a heart attack with your baseless questions. ...Takeda?" Daito turned his attention as his aid continued to sputter and shake.

"D....Daito.... something is taking me.... this is....."

"This is your final warning."

The gasp was audible as every witness saw Takeda's face replaced by that of the Laughing Man. A live hack of every pair of eyes in the building. Was this the real deal?

"You will tell the public the truth, or you will die Daito."

"The.... there's nothing to tell! Guards, arrest this man!" Daito didn't need to wait for a reaction. Security was already piling onto the stage and driving Takeda to the ground. But the Laughing Man's face was gone, leaving behind only a very confused public official.

I dunno wtf to think about this Laughing Man stuff other then I think hes Towny but he basically sounds like a much less bad ass and cyborg version of the dude from V for Vendetta.

Imma say that it sounds like somebody is getting info. Beyond that, it's pointless to spec imo.

So I wanna point out for DPR, since he is conviently ignoring this fact, I never criticized the TLM spec, I criticized the Cory spec. 2 different things, so don't try to pretend voting TLM is counter to what I've said. It's not.

Second, TLM is the/a bad guy in the show Zander. Yeah, he's a less awesome V, but the good guys from this show are in the government (Sector 9 I think) so there's your perspective.

1. Darthe - idk, Darthe doesn't seem like one to normally disappear, but could be RL stuff

2. Sooh - leaning town. Besides the one question I had for her about the VC, nothing really seemed to ping from her.

3. Dice - null/slight town read, nothing really stood out.

4. seph - probably scum using a failed Scum!DPR tactic from last game. Probably actually Town though. I liked that he, although not at first, tried to steer the convo away from LM.

5. Killashandra - Someone did already point out that she's more confident this game. Even last game where she started scum reading the day I was Lynched, she hedged and hawed somewhat. More something to watch out for. Not null so much as in between.

6. DPR - Generally being DPR: questioning setup, questioning players, questioning why I keep calling him. Why won't you answer?

7. Niniel - last game she was scum and quickly lynched, but I didn't really see what people saw then. Mostly going off of other people's reads that she's not immediately showing those scum!Nini reads, but some of her posts have felt questioning in a bad way. She was one of the few people I saw actually say she was Town, so that's good.

8. Lenlo - don't remember any sort of meta, but we're bestirs, so D1 pass. (Read: actually pretty null rn)

9. Nynaeve - another one don't remember meta, but she's posting Like the Nyn I know. Game wise, she's questioning. Some people mentioned she wasn't pushing as hard early on as Town!Nyn should be, and hen she changed her style. But she also has mentioned some activity limitations, so that could be the cause.

10. Zander - inquisitive all Zandy. Someone put it best that he's OCD about some things. Wants clarification on everything even if they're minute and have no real bearing on the game. Strongest town read atm.

11. ed2funy - Just in case Seph didn't hear it again: I. Am. Town.

*mutters about old men needing to clean out their ears*

12. Tigraine - Phone still wants to autocorrect her to migraine. Accurate. Wasn't worried about her lack of content until someone pointed out that she posted elsewhere earlier, so now I'm worried. She usually will post a reason for being absent, and if she posted content in the other game, I'd expect her to come here and say she was busy.

13. Adam - NFG no one likes. Wants to Lynch an inactive D1, but that's bad form. Retracted his early vote when questioned on it, but that didn't feel right. Has explained it as just tone, which is a tiresome excuse to be the sole basis for a vote. Temper it with game content.

14. Laughing Man - a good healthy dose of speculation is nice, but I don't think focusing on him too much will do is good until at least D2/when we find out something more concrete.

Basic reads. Feel most comfy with Adam and then Tigs and Nyn. Depending how Seph keeps trying the same tactic scum!DPR used, his Town lean will probably start moving to scum. He reeks of a bad play to push an easy Town Lynch.

Most comfy as in most comfy voting? Otherwise none of this makes any kind of sense.

It's possible Shad did his thing and randomized roles between characters so that char claims wouldn't break the game. Also possible he did something similar with TLM and he's a neutral npc role or something.

We have no evidence to go off of whether the role is town or wolf or even important
