At risk of pointless ATE, this all hurts my head and I h<3te you all.

 

I want to get involved but don't have the brain capacity/temperament to read through 140 pgs and I feel like I'm missing too much to avoid disturbing #?layers/be anything but a bumbling distraction possibly dragging the Town back with my usual scattergun approach of

 

 

 

with a zillion crazy thoughts and questions that may have already been answered. There's so much content here that I don't know where to start, and every time I see something I want to follow I get overwhelmed by how much I don't know/distracted by new MAYBESHINY things to follow.

 

I have thoughts on random posts/possible connections that I'll try to collate, but I'm yet to successfully ISO anyone beyond Shad from beginning to end and I feel useless.

If anyone has things they specifically want me to check out/questions they think I could answer that might help game solve pls go for it, I need to get out of my own head.

And also, to get some sleep before work.

I am not sure how much I should share on thoughts of game/flavour theory because a) #distraction-from-hunting-scum but FTR I found Seph's initial post about following the storyline possi-Towny in a specific context of wider game solve. I don't necessarily think the Puppet Master is bad though? So his later posts linking the PM with government/need to find confuse/?concern me, though I'm not sure if it is something worth following up at this time.

 

I don't feel at all qualified to make a decision on today's lynch, but currently I'm torn between thinking the best place to vote is possibly Monstr's PoE (@Monstr

so much at you monstrmentorbat if it really was 'that easy'

and the ?tinfoil possibility that pushing a dead man's reads can be easily manipulated by scum.

 

Right now despite my concerns about Dice and Nin, I can see possiTown reasons in their reasonings and am not getting huge pings in their tone so DPR's push at each of them unsettles me, but I'm equally weighing up that Tigs has said she has concerns/?doesn't trust Dice, and that Tigs' claim makes sense to me in game context.

 

I also see equal possibilities that Nin and Ed could be planned bussing, and this occurred to me before DPR suggested it.

 

Dice I need a better read of. I know nothing of Nyn or Killa and Ed gives me heebies and therefore so do the people clearing him which muddies everything up unless somethingsomethingTownplayovermyhead. 

 

FTR I don't understand Seph's vote->unvote progression.

I thought dpr was town because we were on the same page for most of the game, and me and him were doing quite a bit of gamesolve in the thread.

The problem I'm having is if I belive the above it leaves dpr as one of the 3. And the shade he has been throwing a niniel has been disturbing.

I don't see her faking this imo. If dpr is the puppet he played me like a fiddle. But I think it's obvious we are linked and there is 0 point in hiding it.

Dice is someone I was weary about but him clearing ed looked pretty gamesolvy to me.

I'm going to read our qt again

I think voting nyn is the best option but we will need to find the puppet eventually and it's between ed, dice dpr.

When I saw it, the thing that struck me odd was that she had posted the group pic - which I knew I didn't get - and that she pointed out which character was hers, even though it's not labeled. I thought I remembered her saying she wasn't familiar with the source material and it struck me as odd that she'd post the group pic and know which character was hers. I hadn't looked back at my PM since the game started and I don't know the characters either, so I jumped on what I thought was a slip.

 

I was quick to respond, but I shoulda given it a sec and thought it out.

Of course - which you know - but the point I made previously was that I wasn't given a group pic, and that's the pic that was shown and that I remarked on. The pic I got didn't mean anything to me and it was just another piece of game flavor. It's not like we eve use them for anything other than that. But when I sw the group pic with no names on it, it struck me as odd. We all talked about it then and it didn't come back up until Niniel needed a reason to omgus me and even up the vote score.

I opened the PM and sent the action in without gazing at the pic in wonder. Like I said, it's game flavor and never important.

I still don't understand this, why he targeted me. I had already revealed that I was cop and hacker and that I didn't get any results N1 so why he would assume he was doc and didn't know it for sure is still beyond me. Not getting any results N1 is no reason to believe it either because again I had already said I didn't get results.

 

However, from what I can tell about everyone's claims except Ninis, no one got results. Could that be becauae she tracked TLM? Did that block all roles?

 

 

 

 

 

Here's what I know:

I'm a Hacker. I tried to Hack Killa N1 but nothing happened. I got same stupid link tigs got.

N2 I holstered. Kind of just wondered if it turned out to be a bad thing in some way, Hacking. That was after I asked if I could Hack myself and was told no because a link was already there.

Then, I got a QT and I'm still the only one to post. IF ANYONE IS ON THE QT, PLEASE NOW!

@Ed - What 'stupid message' did you get, and which 'stupid message' of Tigs' are you referring to?

 

@Tigs - Can you confirm whether your 'stupid message' was in response to your Hack attempt or your Cop view?

 

 

My understanding was that the message you talk about receiving was in response to the Cop view. Have I missed something out before this?

First - about my claim.

 

D1: I get my PM. I ask if I can track TLM. I got a yes. 

N1: I decided to track TLM to see if we could get any info.

 

D2: I revealed that TLM didn´t go nowhere. This is true. I said that I was 1X tracker. That was not true. It was just a way to not get killed or blocked. I am limited though, I can´t track for the whole game. 

Tigs revealed and I thought by hinting that I could track more that they would target me instead of her since I think her role is more important than mine. (Well, that is true if we get those reports sometime.)

N2: I tracked Manbat. He visited Ed.

 

 

D3: I told everyone that Manbat had visited Ed. I thought it was really weird that Manbat died the same night that he visited Ed so I pretended to have info about Ed to see what he would say. He only had some link to an empty qt. 

 

Then my assumptions began and I asked you to say what you thought about it. They could be wrong, of course. Actually, some of it seems to be not very good thinking from my side. 

 

I felt that Manbat was a very strange target + I thought he was vanilla. He isn´t, I corrected myself there. But it still remains that he is a strange target. That is why I thought it was so weird that he died visiting Ed. And I had Ed in my poe before that. Like the only one I thought was mafia really. 

 

 

But lets look at what we know.

 

Ed got a link to an empty qt. I need to check when he said that compared to when he got the link. How long had he waited before he said it was empty?

It could be that Manbat hacked him and that´s why he got the qt link. Now I really don´t know how Shad would play that. Would he really give Ed a link if Manbat had died. That seems really strange. I doubt it but I can´t be sure of course. 

 

If that link didn´t kill him then mafia or someone else killed him. We have only had one nk each night. If it´s an "ordinary" nk then Manbat must be on to something. 

 

 

Did I explain myself better this time? 

 

 

Dice, you didn´t trust me since you thought that PR´s should all be trackers. But it seems like trackers have thier own abilities and I´m not a tracker. 

 

 

 

I think the logic wrt claiming adds up here, and the avoiding kill thing was something I considered this afternoon reading DPR's mention that she lied/said she was 1-shot, but I'm not sure about the tone, somethingsomething planning feel vs explanation #notknowingNin'splay or the likelihood of a Town Tracker.

 

Initial thoughts were Tracker as a Town role doesn't make sense because it's not mentioned in the sample PMs and OPs say mafia have randomised fake claims. 

This seems a pretty blunt thing to do for attention if scum though, so imo it's either a deliberate distancing tactic or legit.

@Dice - Can you fill us in on what exactly you received wrt the QT Tigs claims to have sent you?

- What time/phase did you receive the notification?

- Is there a title or any indication of who the QT is with to start with?

 

@Tigs - Can you confirm what time/part of the phase the QT was opened, and if there's any identifying information?

- Why did you ask Dice why he had a QT?

- Can you pls confirm/ask Shadmod if you don't already know, if it's just your Cop results that get lost/incorrectly returned?

 

@Ed - Can you fill us in / confirm/deny whether Manbat was the other end of your QT?

 

 

Essentially, @everyone - can people confirm whether QTs linked/opened at night, and if you know who they're with?

I believe I received it at the beginning of day phase, I'll have to check to confirm. There was no identifying info other than the link and saying dice received the following communication or something along those lines. I asked in thread because 1) I didn't know that it was just him and I 2) it was the first result in any form or fashion I had received and 3) I thought (like a dumb@$$) that it was part of a mafia qt

To the first question, no, it did not block all roles. I've revealed that I am a hacker and established a QT with Seph on N1.
