I don't think it was alignment indicative either way, but that's just me. If he's a villager, he reread what ed said and realized it made no sense and unvoted. If he's a wolf, he reread what ed said and realized it made no sense and unvoted.

 

My inclination to call it villagery stems from the fact that I would have performed the 30 second "will this make me look terrible" check before dropping the vote, not immediately afterwards.  Doing it anyway to fake impulsive because villagers are way more likely to be impulsive is a card I'll always carry up my sleeve, but that's come from a lot of experience in what I can personally get away with.  Simply being that impulsive as a wolf is rare but Eldrick does it and if Seph's a wolf then he's clearly done it a dozen times over in this game.  It basically goes back to "is this what I think seph's scum game would look like" and the answer is no I really don't.

 

If it had been a 5 minute unvote I'd probably feel null to wary about it.

Most people think I'm a wolf when I'm town, I don't really understand it tbh.

Tress how do you feel about DPR?

 

I just read 4 isos of him (his latest two town games, one 3P and a mafia game from 2014 lol) and had some immediate conclusions I'd prefer to sit on for now

 

Curious about your take :)

 

Here's the thing, DPR is an old school DM'er and doesn't believe in meta because it can be manipulated by good players.  (Admittedly, I am not a good player because my scum game is ridiculously lacking, but that's neither here nor there.)

 

I spent most of Fight Club being sketched out by him because it looked to me like he was trying to keep WIFOM alive and fearmongering with the recruitment theory, and I got shot in the face before i could really evaluate his play without taking into account Darthe trying to mess with my head and my failed attempt to understand what Nolder was thinking that led me to a terrible tinfoil theory.

 

If anything this game I can understand where he's coming from more, and it makes me more comfortable with him as town.  This could be a giant mistake, mind you, and it may mean that I should be more wary of him because I trust him more.  (Yes, I can see you over there rubbing your hands together in glee that you have me pocketed.  Dirty pirate.)  

 

I think I need more hard info to interpret what I've seen from him already, and that's what it comes down to with about half of the game. :tongue:

There's not a whole lot to talk about imo. She's not pushing or solving really.

I can't remember if that's her meta or not.

So, over Tress who's not pushing or solving, you'd lynch Niniel, Darthe and Seph?

Of the three he listed, yes, that's how I'd go.

 

 

Err... ed I really don't know what to do with you man. I don't feel like your really pushing any of your reads at all, and here unprompted you use my lynch list while just subbing out your name for mine instead of pushing your own.

 

A good example is how you have been sitting on Me this entire game. You never push to read me just occasion bring up that I am scummy and then drop it again.

 

 

 

The vote thing was me drunkenly slightly joking, slightly wanting to see how she reacted, and mostly wanting to see how others reacted. I didn't like your initial knee-jerk jump on it and then unvote, but since then you haven't seemed so bad on it.

 

That's the vibe I got and I kind of wanted to shout "dude even if he's a wolf he's fake reaction testing, not diving on the stupidest excuse to push a lynch he could think of" all 100 times it's come up, but I figured I'd give you the honors or see if you said something wildly different from what I'd been thinking.
 

 

This is for another time and another tinfoil, but I don't like any of it. Shaboose is still one I have at the top so I'm not worried....

Shad asked me what I thought about him jumping around. Well, I find half of it townie and half of it scummy. Good things = starting the game, being very active, maybe going after Darthe? (although is he?) Bad things = that post where he said that he liked Clov´s vote on Sooh. I don´t get why he liked it and he couldn´t explain it either. The vote on Killa was bad. I don´t like his logic about Ed being town and at the same time say that Killa isn´t a bad lynch. 

 

Cory - I don´t understand your vote on DPR early but other than that you feel townie to me. :)

 

 

Ed - I´m so happy that you still have your little zombie! <3 I still have mine. But I don´t like your game here. Your vote on Killa was really bad. 

 

Darthe - still don´t get his early reads and he has not explained them or posted much.

 

Tress - I have almost no notes on her. 

 

Sooh - still feeliing good about her.

 

DPR - the only one that seems to suspect Seph but I don´t know if it´s for the same reasons as me. 

 

Kronos - no notes except for his early vote

 

Clov - I find it irritating with votes that doesn´t get explained. I like his vote on Ed, which he did explain.

 

Killa - newbie who is trying. The "we" thing was weak. I´m not saying she is town but not mafia because of that.

 

Manbat - I agree with him that Ed and Killa aren´t mafia together. I have a hard time reading his posts sometimes.

For those wondering the bold in particular is what I really liked. She came in with a new idea towards regarding Darthe.

 

Her posts towards Cory and those alike are not bad at all, but as cloves said most of the reads are generic. (Overall I would say I don't mind the list but besides myself there isn't much in terms of fresh reads) which is why her content outside of the catchups is so important to me.

I need to iso her still but I don't remember anything catching up.

 

 

Beyond the Wall doesn't count but I forgot all about TressGOAT in Demonology o_o

 

Haven't been feeling TressGOAT in Demonology at all granted mechanics spec played a huge role in that one, but I'm crucifying WBK today if I can get away with it so you have plenty of time on my books.

 

 

Explain the difference to me between WBK/Tress/Tigraine/Niniel.  Because I'm having to actively fight a knee-jerk scum read on you for that one.

  

 

So my initial read here is the same as clovs, I read it and instantly thought of my 1st game with Cory (which I talked about with him) but he did this exact thing which bugs me so much about lynching inactives.

 

He went after a inactive and posted links to scum games where that person went inactive and justified his lynch.

 

Obviously a person can have a meta for it but that sort of meta Is probably the most unreliable thing you can do.

 

Now lynching inactives is needed anyways because if they don't play they bog the game down like Hallie last game, but it's such a easy mislynch for mafia team to go after with also the least blowback of a mislynch.

 

 

 

I'm not sure I've ever seen him as scum, though he did rand scum in one of my first games here - I believe he no posted for like the first twelve hours and subbed out (I was the replacement, obviously).  I think he's also subbed out of every game I've played with him as town.  I'm not saying his inactivity is a good sign or that he shouldn't be a candidate, but it's not exactly like he's Zander when he's town.  

 

What are things you'd look for in his town game?

 

Scum!WBK in Frozen couldn't bring himself to make a single game related post and then subbed out. I said to give him a chance and some people who knew him better were like "lol he's such an obvious wolf" and they were right.

Town!WBK requested a sub really early D1 in my Bolshevik game and still managed to post meaningful comments.

It wasn't even about the quality of his content. It was about its existence. He's been active on DM well since he quit posting in this game. This game didn't break out into a decent pace for like 48 hours so he didn't have 40 some pages to catch up on.

It's an awkward reason but it's probably right.

This post obviously makes feel much better because if Kronos is indeed posting in other areas I would agree he is more likely scum than any of the other people in the same area as him. It's still just a hard play for me to commit to for these reasons. If he would come on and make 5 posts I feel like he is someone I could get a good read on tbh

Regardless of Kronos flip we will not get reliable info regarding him imo. But it's true we will have to resolve him sometime.
