Whose around right meow? It's a Vicodin kind of night. Colorado say eff you, April Fool's about Spring, because it snowed today. Stupid weather here is stupid (the fact that it's snowing this time of the year isn't crazy, as it can and has snowed into May before).

i slammed at the brakes turned the bike sideways and crashed my arm into the side of the tray. kinda got hung up for a sec then as he kept goin i got unhung up and came crashing to the road

Well, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I'm glad you're okay. I think I also speak for everyone when I suggest you look into getting your own truck. Plus, How the hell can you play Pokemon Go from a bike?

ive never had a licence actually. id probably be a bad  driver actually

Holy moly, that's crazy, Dice!

Glad you're not more seriously injured!

thanks for the nice thoughts. and im here banana breath.  taking bourbon for the pain

Apparently I puked last night. Too much tequila...

And gin.

I sincerely hope you are not drinking (tequila and gin?) and mixing that with pain killers - not a good idea at all.

Posted

No. I had shots of tequila and then a double gin and tonic separately (and since I know the bartenders, it was a big glass of gin with a splash of tonic, basically). That was Friday night. I decided not to drink yesterday because my feet were hurting, and I don't mix spirits and narcotics. Have no fear, I'm not *that* stupid.

End of Night Five!

Soap!

Something brutally bloody and treacherous happened in the middle of the night.

Zander died. He was:

Ain't no Commuter in this game. Role makes no sense with the reveals we've seen. ed hinted at it too hard anyway.

I'm actually agreeing with dpr here, though he could always be mafia instead of iron.

Ed was about the only player to actually avoid Darth while he was being Sussed d1. He of course put him in his poe of people he wanted to look at but he never gets around to stating his case or actual notes he says that he has.

Most of his game play has been a series of soft pushes and hasn't really tried to take the lead on anything..even his cases on me and tress (which were pretty terrible after d1) he continued to try to use them d2, without much progression there.

He simply stated the same thing when he voted and then goes to talk about other people. I have a list of quotes I dug up that are in my game pm I will try to sort through and post but I think he is the best lynch today.

Then we need to decide between iron and dpr, and on reread I didn't like either of there d1's

But dpr has played a townier game. There was something I read and couldn't see him being scum from that was in line with darthe push on him, and I'll try to find it.

But this is where I am at [v]ed [/v]

I always think soon could have been the commuter, especially since he hinted so hard after n1. If he is mafia it would make sense they hit a pr

Happy Monday everybody! Or not really, tbh. I've got a test this evening and it's going to make it really hard for me to be in thread.

Looks like Zander had the forethought not to use his role. Well done, man.

What does this mean? I'm not sure what you're trying to say with "bent out of shape"... except a nice pun on my username ;)

Dude you've pushed literally every PR in this game, and one by one they've died and been shown to have told the truth. I just don't buy it any more. [v]DPR[/v] (once again)

We started the game with a false claim.  Commuter is the same as Coroner in that it is very unlikely to be cc'd and there is no way to disprove it.

It also doesn't fit with what we know about the game. We got a watered down Cop and Doc. They got a Janitor shot. What purpose does a Commuter serve?

Idk... I kinda wanna have iron as town over dpr. I'm pretty lost there at the moment. However I do feel pretty confident in ed being scum here. I'm on the road still and will try to post more later, but if you read his is you all will see what I'm talking about.

Ed,dpr does make sense though. Problem is so does ed iron lol...

Dpr however the fact you are trying to push game mech for a lynch with people who don't mod or have that good of a understanding bothers me. Town having just a babysitter I'm and i think I can go with you over iron.

If we are wrong here we are likely to lose and scum are more limited on where they can push.

[V]dpr [/v]

I don't know if I'm right but it's what my gut is telling me to do, but I think set on this atm.

I ain't going to fight anyone's opinion at this point. What I can do for the town is point out what I see as possibility and try to stay alive to preserve town numbers.

Please don't misunderstand my talk of mechanics as pushing - I dig mechanics and bring it up every game. And I'm putting things out there that might add info or perspective to what folks are thinking.

No mod experience needed, the basic/classic mafia setup is a 12 person game with 3 scum and 9 town. Scum get a NK, town have a Cop and a Doc. I figure most players are familiar with this setup enough for me to mention it and point out that so far, that seems to be what we're dealing with. Again, anything is possible and we might have multiple roles hiding among the living players. It's just that we just haven't seen any signs of anything.

My reads at this point:

dice - I still like how he's played. I'll be genuinely surprised and tip my hat if he's scum.

Seph - Your progression from early game to current make sense to me. I've been there. I can see you as town.

Iron - Iron has played a very chill game. He never got "bent out of shape" or passionate about anything. He never pushed or defended anyone too hard and never offered any strong opinions. Doesn't make him a bad person, but it does make sense as low-laying scum.

ed - I see the Commuter reveal as the bookend to the Coroner reveal, and I feel like he's played it that way.

[v]DPR and Seph[/v]

lolololol, you both know I'm the commuter. DPR has been setting up the "super lack of omg no roles at all in this game" for awhile and Seph is just taking advantage of it. Only way DPR would have more concrete knowledge on what the game setup could be is if he's scum, and he's trying to sell you short on the idea of the town having super low power roles. My power role is hella passive, so why wouldn't it make sense, DPR?

Dice, it was because it was D1 and I didn't feel any merit to it then. Also, I mentioned they weren't full blown cases. And Tress actually answered questions and changed my mind; you can follow the progression on that whole back and forth. If you have quotes, copy/paste them here so I can show you where you're wrong.

Seph, how would mafia know they hit a PR if they janitored her?

DPR, you could say the commuter serves for some balance against the baby sitter since it had a chance of taking out two Townies.

Posted

BS, DPR. You're well aware this is most likely Lynch or Lose today, and Seph actually makes a point you're using speculation on game mechanics to push for a lynch.
You yourself said you thought it was a townie move to hint when I did to try to draw the NK, but now you and Seph are saying I was hinting too early. So which is it?

Try to provide real evidence on me without only talking about game mechs and then you can say you're not using game mechs.

Darthe tried to take advantage of Sooh's no coroner info to claim coroner. That makes sense as scum. How does my reveal as Commuter do that?

As for your last post (1918), you again tilt to mechanics but previously mentioned watered down "doc" and "cop" role. Soooo yeah. Talk mechanics all you want, but I'm the commuter and there are reasons I hinted when I did and I've already laid out why.

I've noted that we don't have many role flips in the game - that's not a setup, that's just reality. To me, it makes perfect sense to try and figure out how a claimed role would fit into the game - it's how I looked at Darthe's claim.

I've noted what we have seen and that there is no evidence of any other pr, and I think it's fair to say we would have seen results/actions from another role if it existed.

You saying "the only way he would know that is if he is scum" is a pretty common scum argument.

I'll leave Seph to answer your question to him and agree that he should.

That last sentence is part of what I'm talking about when I say you've played it well - it's a little too well planned out given that balance could be achieved in other ways as well. You actually were the one that solidified my view of you with the gloat post you made a few days ago. I'll dig it up.

Yes, everybody knows the math - if there are 2 scum left and we miss, we lose.

I'm using my experience to factor into my best guess for scum.

I did like your move to pull the NK off of Tress. And, had you not made the gloat post I mentioned above, I might still be on the fence with you. But, I mentioned early on that you were a little scummy and you never really moved past that point. I'll dig up the gloat post.

Darthe took advantage of the Sooh's no-coroner reveal because he planned it. He had a Janitor shot and used it to build up his claim - he was freaking giddy to pull it off to the extent that it was weird, remember? Your reveal could have been easily as well thought out, and it's a role that can't be proven other than by death.

Watcher and Babysitter are watered down Cop and Doc substitutes - right? So it would make sense that scum aren't powered up, and we would have seen some evidence of it if they were. And if scum aren't powered up, then why add random roles to town? Just my opinion.

Be back with the post that caught my eye.

Okay, so this is just starting last night, but I'm pretty sure I dropped other hints earlier.

Idk about you guys, but I'm planning on being here tomorrow. If there's a RBer, they literally can't roleblock me or do anything else when I'm not here, and I left town tonight.

Hey, wonder what that role could be.

Gah, I can't drive anymore guys.

Hmmmm, what EVER could he mean?!

Ed - Commuter (Limited Use - Nights 1, 3, and 4)

I'm... I'm not sure I understand what he's getting at. Maybe he'll explain.

But there are lots of VT's.

Including me, 4 so far.

Yeah, and then more VTs flip, the less likely there are left in the game. I don't think the town is super power heavy unless the Mafia has crazy power roles too and it seems there was already a limited janitor, apparently a possible roleblocker, and of course a godfather to kill.

But we had watcher, Commuter, and healing type Pokémon so far. Could reasonably be another.

Wait! Whoa, who claimed Commuter???? Anyone recall this???

Come again?!?!?!?!

You claimed commuter.....?!?!?!?!

Wait, you know who claimed commuter?!

Cuth-VT

BFG- VT

Nolder- VT

Tress- Watcher

Darthe- Mafia Goon

Sooh- ??? (Assuming Town)

Iron claims VT

DPR claims VT

Zander- Roled

Am I missing any other claims right now?!?!?!?!

Not that I can see.

Ed claiming Commuter, is an interesting development.

ED CLAIMED COMMUTER?!

Maybe he did it because he understands that even partial role claims at this stage in the game will be beneficial to the Town, and that players like Hallia just may not be around to reveal. Idk man, just a whacky, tinfoil idea.

To me, this is contrived and you seemed a little too excited to post it.

Posted

Also, you were too fast to accept that Crusher/Zander's role was a healing role.

You never even questioned it - when Tress said she assumed it, you just ran with it. I questioned why you thought it was a healing role, as it could have been a number of roles. You never really had a reason.

Posted

I've noted what we have seen and that there is no evidence of any other pr, and I think it's fair to say we would have seen results/actions from another role if it existed.

As you state again, though. And have before. You know I can't "prove" my role, except it possibly being a reason there was no NK on N3 or by dying.

Also, it wasn't a gloat post (my first post after N3 ended saying I hope I caused the no NK was a gloat post). It was a sarcastic, tired of people not reading what I'm saying post. The only excitement at posting that was inner bitch out.

Expect Darthe wasn't listed as limited Janitor; he was listed as goon.

Watcher and Babysitter are watered down Cop and Doc substitutes - right? So it would make sense that scum aren't powered up, and we would have seen some evidence of it if they were. And if scum aren't powered up, then why add random roles to town? Just my opinion.

This is where you're playing more mech.

We know they can kill and possibly have a RBer (due to Tress's remarks). So watered down cop and doc aren't all that balanced against them.
