Where do you see a collapsed wall in the Perrin/Egwene scene?

You're right on the fact they're moving away. So it's probably not Whitebridge. But to me it looks too bright for Shadar Logoth. Can't recall what it's supposed to look like though.

Then again, not that that matters apparently.

Sorry, the damaged wall in not seen in the Perrin/Egwene scene.  I meant the Perrin/Egwene scene shows that the city is surrounded by a wall.  And the fact that in the Rand/Mat scene we can see the encompassing wall is very badly damaged in places we can assume it is Shadar Logoth.

So on a different note... here's the weirdest things I noticed about the teaser that ends up being good source material, potentially, for discussion or for Thras:

#1] We see Lan protecting Nynaeve in the clearing with the other warders & Aes Sedai (so it can't be a flashback) but it seems tied to the Logain capture.... Where's Moiraine?

#2] We see an Aes Sedai on the ground and Steppin being catapulted forward by Moiraine at a shielded Logain? What's up with that? Where's Lan?

#3] We see Rand & Matt on the side of a mountain headed towards... Whitebridge maybe? People have speculated Shadar Logoth ... But the group isn't suppose to get split up until after Shadar Logoth right?

#4] We see 5 people galloping away along the Riverside ... Shouldn't there be 6? And Nynaeve tracking them?

#5] We see Rand, Matt, Nyn, and Lan riding towards the WayGate where 3 people wait for them.

Again, Lan never (and should never) is separated from Moiraine right?

And don't they absolutely need Lolial to travel through the Ways?

    Any theories?

#3]  If you look closely they are heading away from the city and one of them turns and looks back.  It is likely Shadar Logoth because if you look at the wall it appears to have collapsed at certain points.  Which would match the look of the wall that Egwene and Perrin climb to the top of in the trailer.

  3. I would highly suggest people watch Unraveling the Pattern's youtube video he put out yesterday.  He did an excellent job of piecing together the order of the trailer using some of the leaked audition scripts we got last year.  Was an excellent watch.  Not sure about posting links on this forum but a quick search on youtube should bring it up.

    Yes.

    Alexander Karim plays Lews Therin.

And from what I have heard they have had him working strongly with the OldTongue.  I wonder if that means he will speak to Rand in the OT or if it means flashblacks.  Interesting either way.

Passing on some information I got from viewing a trailer reaction/breakdown video on WoTUp. Possible spoiler alert, although it is all speculation at this point obviously.

From what I have seen and read, the speculation is that she is Perrin’s wife. Further speculation is that she is killed during the Winternight attack and that it is by Perrin’s own hand.

If this is true it would be a good way, abet a tried trope, to show us why he hates the axe, why he must think things through etc... without resorting to inner monologue.

White Tower is super small. Maybe Rafe didn’t want it to be too phallic?

Compare the tower to the size of the trees surrounding it at the 26 second mark.  I think we are underestimating the size of the tower maybe due to its height versus width.  The Sitters Hall on the other hand seems rather small unless it is designed for only sitters/petitioners to be on the floor while watches are in the rings above.

Probably because those two scenes are unrelated.
The scene with the paint in the pool of water, was in a circular well-like enclosed space. The cliff face was straight into a river.

That doesn't explain the brown, yellow and red streak stains on Egwene's dress just before she is pushed.

Unfortunately I am at work and cannot grab the screenshots but check the trailer again between 0 and 3 seconds.

It's not going to upset me or anything, but the ajah colors have no broader significance in the world. It's not like the ajahs chose the colors because of some theological reason or other. Seems unnecessary if the color coding is more widespread.

that is what I mean, I think they may introduce that those colours have a widespread significance with some of the cultures.

Another interesting thing.  If you look closely at the shot of Nynaeve pushing Egwene off of the cliff.  Egwene's dress is already stained with what appears to be the colours from the pool.  Also when Egwene emerges she doesn't have her hair in a braid but when she is pushed it is in a braid.

  9. I am somewhat surprised by the amount of negativity surrounding the shows release.  I hope most of it comes from the basis of not wanting to be hurt by the adaption.  And while I wish the guitar was a harp and thought the dagger would be bigger I see nothing but professionalism and enthusiasm from the production team.

And while none of the actors in the released pictures matched my head cannon I am nothing but ecstatic with what I have seen.  Despite this I do remember that when they first released the headshots of the E5 I was able to match each of them to their character without needing captions..... except for Josha I was only able to match him from process of elimination.  Now that I have seen them in costume I will never have to worry about them not matching my head cannon again.

Btw, have you seen Nynaeve's braid????
