  1. Ooph, the truth hurts. I preferred them when they were all a bit tubby, tbf. Skinny Roach don't do it for me.
  2. Alignment indicative, not artificial intelligence.
  3. Well, some people don't like pop music.
  4. So from AI movies we have segued seemlessly into AI music? OK.
  5. Well maybe just as well we asked then, lol.
  6. We could ask Nyra but shouldn't we try ourselves first? I think 3 seems the best for the clue about not solving but carrying. Should we maybe look at the second totem first before deciding anything?
  7. Gaah. Forgot you cannot edit posts and how awful that was. If I remember tight indeed...
  8. You made me remember one horror movie I did like. The Abominable Dr. Phibes, with Vincent Price. That was pretty twisted to watch as a kid. A serial murderer bent on revenge killing his victims based on the ten biblical plagues. Though if I remember tight one guy was killed by a giant unicorn statue, so maybe I'm misremembering that. Don't recall the plague of unicorns from the Bible anyway.
  9. Not sure I can recommend it, but it does certainly have a Tarantino flavour and Kurt Russell is as stomach churning as he is in Death Proof, so if you are a fan...
  10. The Hateful Eight is sort of horror, sort of camping, and has a real mafia-game feel to it in the middle section, between the incredibly dull start and bizarre ending.
  11. Oooh, I have seen that one. That was quite funny.
  12. Em, Pocahontas? Or there was that weird film with Adam Driver, 65, that was mostly in woods. Sort of. Predator? That was pretty good.
  13. Don't watch horror films, cannot answer sorry.
  14. Thank you for asking, and risking the wrath of the Gods of Battleships 🙂 I was worried that the AI had been reading WoT and she would start crossing her arms beneath her breasts, tugging her braid and fidgeting with the neckline of her dress trying to contain her overabundance of bosom, lol. Anyway, metal images aside, 1 or 2? Maybe we should try to solve the puzzle ourselves before asking Nyra.
  15. Does anyone else have any idea what Nyra looks like? She was just a shape at first, then had wings and now she is kneeling, laying her hand on her chest and narrowing her eyes. Has she become tinker bell or does it just get confused sometimes when describíng a female entity?
  16. Overwhelming restoration does sound a bit intimidating. I vote for using our bestest girl.
  17. One of you guys has hacked my TV, during the Hamilton game it was pushing that on my homepage (do TVs have homepages?) and then when I took a break from the Action Hero one it was Con Air (my character's film). I don't even have Disney. But kind of freaky coincidences.
  18. Well, this is a bit of the problem that the show faces. One camp of people demand internal consistency within the show. Due to the show being rewritten after Barney quit (or whatever), the Emond Field boys were never with Lan, no scenes of any training. In the show, Rand had at that point not done much more than hold the sword. For him to defeat a Blademaster would be ridiculous, immersion destroying and completely confusing for people that had not read the book, goes such an argument. Another camp of people want to see one of their favourite scenes like it was in the book. The way it panned out there was no way to satisfy both camps. To me, having Rand menacingly use the One Power, with a nod to the way he made the assassins bow to him in tDR, in a scene that both showcased the Seanchan mentality and splendour and took up very little time, was a good solution. Not least because in the book it was already stretching credulity that Rand could win the fight - the only saving grace being that it was more presented as Rand's battle with himself and Saidin - something they simply could not film anyway. That is my subjective opinion on it. If I am reading between the lines correctly, your subjective opinion is that it wasn't a good solution.
  19. There is also things like Cressida Cowell's How to Train your Dragon, where they took a successful book, the character names and rough setting and made a completely different story. The original dragons sat on your shoulder, and Toothless was, well, toothless. The show is definitely trying to tell the same story.
