Why was Alanna teaching them how to touch the source if they already had that level of control. Egwene was able to heal Nyn about 5 weeks later from incredibly close to death to full health. Age has impact because the touching falls in a narrow window. Is it truly impossible to admit that it does not actually make any sense.

I think you have largely addressed the issue in your last paragraph. The peril does not have to be huge physical wounds, but when you have 8 episodes and around 20 serious injuries across those episodes that are just insta fixed with no cost to the fixer or fixed it becomes laughable.

Except Lanfear left him with his teacher. What was Lanfears plan with giving Couladin the dragons? It can;t have been to isolate Rand while going after Moiraine as there could be no way she would know Moiraine would go off into the desert solo.

I am not arguing the Dragon and the land are one line. Initially with the Ta'avern chance swirling around Rand it was 50/50 then as Rand became harder and more closed off from everyone I believe that began to swing towards the effect becoming negative. After he became Zen it was 2 sides of the coin Rand only produced positive while the DO only produced negative. It is the assertion that his wound facilitated some control over the weather that I am disputing.

It could be a slap in the face for Elaidia. It could be that some only moved once they saw that the numbers were stacking up for Siuan. The whites all moved after Alviarin the leader basically used her control to get them up. It was not a straight up head to head in the books. Proposers when they thought they had the numbers brought the candidate to be voted on and not standing in the first or second round did so to show they would not be easily controlled, I believe the show wanted to probably showcase this without the explanation and to tie it back to the books.

I agree with all of Sinisters initial examples but for this argument's sake lets remove those shows as they can cause harm and lets replace them with The bold and the beautiful, coronation street, basically all daytime soaps and others along these lines. The list will be subjective some will have liked these shows others will think they are not worth being on TV. The reason I watch the show is because of my decades long love of the IP. I would have absolutely loved if the show to be great but the writing and general production have made that impossible. I'm sorry that is extremely circumstantial at the best. The DO power increased across the entire series because the seals weakened. The wound was hot to the touch because that is what happens with an infection that is not under control linking it to the weather conditions without proof is drawing an extremely long bow. The weather conditions do not change after Fain alters the nature of the wound or after Damer locks the wounds inside with each other and away from Rand. Rand becoming zen does not change the wound it does not heal it the wound remains. The weather overall to the best of my knowledge does not change after Rand becomes Zen he affects a small area around himself (which contains the wound) which pushes back the decaying power of the DO. Unless you can provide some direct proof this feels very much like an unproven theory with very little support.

I'm not sure about this. It certainly has no effect on the never ending winter at the start of the series as he did not have the wound. I also don't remember anything linking the wound to the long summer either. The only thing pertinent I can think of is a conversation between some of the forsaken in regards to the effort the dark one expended to freeze the seasons in place and that he would be displeased if it was undone (convo was in relation to ter'angreal and the fact that sea folk had greater weather abilities than AOL)

Judging just about anything against GoT S8 is going to give you a positive result. I mostly judge it against the source material which leads to a very disappointing result.

The whole episode was basically confusion on steroids. I'm not even sure of exactly what happened in big chunks so some of my queries are going to be all over the place. Firstly Moiraine knows how to tie off shields now. The only tied off weave I am aware that she was in proximity too was a saidan one so it was no help to her. If the shield was a gift from Lanfear as soon as Rand broke with her the first thing i amagine she would do is take Sammael away from Rand. Sammael left behind totally unguarded? Why would you have not taken him with you? Is he dead? Elaidia accuses Siuan of being a DF is this a violation of the 3 oaths does she truly believe this. What was the purpose of the Elaidia being healed by Siuan scene with a grey man a couple of episodes ago now. Lanfear wanting to physically kill Moiraine I can understand but the woman obsessed with power not taking possession of the most powerful Sa'angreal at the first opportunity is ridiculous. Moiraine a strong channeler in possession of the strongest Sa'angreal in history is not stronger than Lanfear seems unlikely. Did we ever get an in show reveal that Thom had told Elayne about his history? The whole Gaebril reveal felt amazingly rushed. Elayne has instant and perfect control of the unpredictable balefire rod? Liandrin actually held the box with the collar in her hands and threw it away but is then able to track it to Nyn out the front of the building? Nyn not even bothering to hide a little bit just stands out in the open waiting despite knowing that the BA was present. Nyn not even out of breath after exiting the water? Lan willing to be stabbed my Melindrha staking his life on a DF not stabbing him seems incredibly risky. So DF's now insta die on changing sides. While this is the most extras we have seen in the show it hardly looked huge. Rand unaided seems to have affected scenes across the world. Losing the clan chiefs one by one stepping forward to declare for Rand is almost a criminal choice. I don't want to watch it again but honestly trying to follow what the hell happened is nigh impossible.
