  1. A scene with Moiraine and Lan on the road would add little, imo, and deflate some of the tension from their entrance in the Winespring scene. The audience is obviously supposed to think that the stranger walking into the Inn is the black cloaked rider, if just for a moment (although I guess I am assuming that there will be a black cloaked rider)

As much as I'm a book purist and hate changes, I will deal with some pretty big ones and try to enjoy the show anyways. That being said:

If they make Egwene a possible Dragon Reborn, I'm gonna flip. To me, you might as well spit on RJ's grave then. That would be such a massively unfaithful change.

    Spoiler

I didn't see that in the list - it says Egwene is ta'veren but that doesn't mean she's necessarily one of the potentials.

I agree with you that it would be a problematic change though - the Dragon is the one who's supposed to "go mad and break the world". It would be hard to instill the same fearful potential with a Saidar user

I wouldn't say 100%. 65% unrecognizable sounds about right to me. It's just a shame that the showrunners decided to make everything as generic as possible for no apparent reason at all besides the fact that they didn't have enough talent to come up with anything better.

THIS I FORETELL! This show is going to be like the Star Wars prequels. Everyone's gonna go nuts because they want to like it so bad. Initial reviews will be great. People on this forum are gonna splooge about how great it is, but as time goes on it will become more and more difficult to apologize for the show's shortcomings. By the time Egwene is revealed to be the Dragon Reborn in Season 2, everyone will finally have to admit that it's not what they'd always wanted from a WoT TV show after all.

Bro, the prequels got mixed reviews and were shit on by the internet for a decade and a half. Now they are seen as flawed, but with redeeming qualities.

    Leave Star Wars outta this!

I personally never liked the Taimandred theory.

The good news with a TV series, they could do all the stuff Demanded was up to on screen.

In the books, the offscreen approach was a smack to the head.  Had they included that story line, the books would have been soo much longer... Yet, it would also feel weird to incorporate it, without a character we know, going there.

But I guess Rand was given that plot hook with the silk worm guy, but his arrogance over "silk trees" lost him that leed.

Taimandred wasn't a theory. It was a fact as of the release of Lord of Chaos, at least.

    Not only that, but

    Spoiler

    Taimandred killed Asmodean

they will be naive if they grew up in their isolated village without contact with the outside, never having traveled farther than half a day's walk.

they are going to be naive and ignorant about the world at large, whether they're 18 or 81

    Half a day's walk?

Bro...they've been as far as the sand hills and the foot of the Mountains of Mist. Have some respect

  6. Apparently Rafe has plans for 8 seasons https://screenrant.com/wheel-time-show-8-seasons-planned-amazon/

I think they will condense a lot of the travel scenes in The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn for season 2. It will be tough to do it all in one season, imo, especially with the fantastic climactic sequences in each book
