I'm not really sure what they intend to do with the Eye though.   Mostly, I think that crystal is a chekov's gun waiting to be fired.

I'm pouring over the Dark Prophecy but I don't see anything that the "Blood Calls Blood" title could be referencing. Is it just referring to the violent presence of Perrin/Whitecloaks among the tinkers? Perhaps the writers just thought it sounded cool. Surely Lanfear isn't already making appearances, right?

Verin had a book where she recorded all of the shadow's prophecies that she could find. As far as we know, this particular prophecy is not known before the raid on Fal Dara, but maybe the prophecies will be brought up by a sister in the White Tower in this episode. That would be pretty fun wouldn't it?

Not sure how accurate IMDB is, but apparently Min is in Episodes 7 and 8. So unless she travels along the Ways with the party or they return to Tar Valon, she may already be in Fal Dara

Edit: Nevermind. According to IMDB he is appearing in all 8 episodes.

My mom liked Episode 4 and said that it piqued her interest in the series. 

During Rand's outburst in episode 2, she said "That one is going to be trouble, isn't he?". It was hard to keep a straight face ?

It's a seed of foreshadowing. The fact that Alanna remembers Moiraine being a novice (and likely her relationship with Siuan) is a problem. Collusion between Siuan and Moiraine was the prime factor allowing Elaida and company to depose the Amyrlin

The brief fighting between Thom and the Myrddraal was very good imo. It should have been in Whitebridge, but the knives were awesome.

I think the show is doing a good job with 1v1's. The fight between Tam and Narg was fun as well - makes me want to see the Blademaster duel in season 2!

The fridging could have been much worse. I think it was executed about as well as could be expected.

It would be cool if they included Abell and Tam traveling to Tar Valon to look for the boys. It would go a long way towards building a Cauthon redemption arc

Some interesting things going on with the lad in the first few episodes. Rand has a dark look on his face when Tam talks about past lives.

He shifts and looks around uncomfortably when Thom sings:

"I can still hear the way that he cried
For the ones he was missing

I can still hear the way that he cried
For the ones he had lost"

There's something bubbling underneath the surface, something he may not even be conscious of

The scene with Rand going up to that balcony in Shadar Logoth to look over the rooftops was A+

I like the little slow bits they add like that. That and the part where they're all on a clifftop gazing at the landscape. Hits me in the feels for some reason

There was a line (I think in TEOTW) where Moiraine says that Egwene and Nynaeve "may not be ta'veren, but strong nonetheless". Or something of the sort

Can only go up from there, right? Perrin will struggle with using a weapon now, and there will come a time when he has no choice. Will he get his axe?

I don't see how Falme and Tear could be combined without it being a total cluster ****

1. If they don't blow the horn, then there's no payoff for the Great Hunt and they'll have spent a whole season chasing a macguffin

2. If they do blow the horn, then the Aiel are made redundant and there's little room for Mat's rooftop heroics

We "saw" him (or heard him, rather) in Shadar Logoth in Episode 2. A lot of people probably missed it, but he is definitely there.

In the book his real story isn't told until he shows up at Fal Dara
