Bottom line is, I thought Calder might be on to something and I didn't hate it. But I didn't feel half as confident as he seemed to be. Otherwise I would have voted there. And I thought it would be interesting to see the dynamics of those two competing trains. Hallia has AJ as town, but she told me she ALWAYS has him as town, so her input didn't really help me delve into it. But she told me to do what I wanted. So I could have gone for the hero lynch but I'm no hero. And I was just more confident about Sooh and was still half hoping that people might come around at EoD irt her. Obviously they didn't.

What's your thoughts on Calder?

Randomly pushing a lynch in the way he has seems incredibly obnoxious. For scum to do it and keep doing it this late into the day phase while providing absolutely zero other contribution seems like a ridiculously shitty way to draw attention to yourself. If he's scum, what would really be the point? I dunno, it would seem to be just a terrible play to me. On the other hand, it would appear he's almost succeeding given the amount of attention I'm getting. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm leaning town.

Town reading him for basically doing nothing makes it pretty easy to get away with, no?

I'm not town reading him for doing nothing. I'm town reading him for openly playing like a moron while seemingly sticking to his guns despite the fact he's going to obviously get flack for it.

He really doesnt seem to get that much flack for it tbh. Calders a slice of life sorta dude, and he plays to his own tune

Darthe - Being weird. #889 - Why is this a good post? I’m not sure what the point of this post was. I really don’t think it was like massively insightful into the alignment of Shad and it seems strange that of all Shad’s post, that one in particular stood out to him.

#914 - Not sure how characteristically Darthe this is. Seems like he’s making some overly obvious reads and going out of his way to state how some very ordinary posts are good and others are bad.

 

Shad - Leaning town. It's the tone more than anything else. I haven't really seen him as aggressive as this early on D1 but imo he's got the tendency to overthink things and I can't be sure if he's got a scum read on DPR or if his frustration is more with finding out exactly how DPR thinks. I can chalk up his aggression to more that more than him entering the game as scum and overcompensating. Don't think the interaction with Eldrick is meaningful.

Blue what do you mean by "overly obvious" reads and what's the connection with #914 specifically here?

@Blue, someone made a blood thirsty post so he's ready to call them a wolf. There's just something about his posts that seem off. Usually when I've played with Darthe he'll say something along the lines of "This person is scum. I don't know why anyone would see otherwise." and usually there's plenty of reasons imo to disagree with him. NB's post is too easy to comment as scummy and it just seems unlike Darthe in that regard.

He's following the same trend of just making statements without giving reasons, but usually his posts have this sound like he thinks he's already figured out the game and I haven't seen it here yet and I wouldn't be surprised if that's because he's a wolf and isn't really trying.

I want AJ to hard case someone. This guy has mastered talking without really doing. He's been stirring the pot for most of the game, putting himself in a spot where he can't be the first person you blame. My town read on Calder is much more solid now.

I'm not sold that Calder's push on AJ on p75 is honest and without doing research to confirm it makes me think of about-faces after lulls that I've seen him pull as a non-town before.

I do make about faces on D1-D3 in pretty much every game once I feel a defining moment breaks the game open for me. My reads once I about face are accurate at an extremely high percentage. I just did it as SK 2 games back, the very second I had to vote with town to have any chance to win, and named both scum players despite neither being voted or pressured.

 

You dont want to vote with me. Whatever. But, I am right about AJ.
