Eh? I don't disappear a lot. I post everyday. Only thing is that when the game is the most active (3 PM EST to 3AM EST), that is the time I sleep and get ready for work and unavailable. That is not called "disappearing" at all

No no no, though this really isnt game related and it's weird how incolved you suddenly are.. let me try this once more.

 

Im a counselor, I use the terms in a strictly psychological sense. Pathology is a pattern of thinking of behavior that influences personality, and schema is, in psych, the way your brain organizes relationships between concepts.

 

what I said is that mafia play isnt based in your personality or fixations with certain concepts, its based in your decisions. This was a bit of a critique on my part because manbat is always so caight up in how he relates to the game that he forgets he can be someone else here and that he isnt stuck in the same narrative that he emotionally carries around everywhere. Then, let's not pretend dadadada should all make sense. Mafia schemas is literally saying "hey, what you think of when you think of the game affects how you relate to the game. It's how you act, how you're "supposed" to act, what you interpret and etc. Much the way that barney= childhood, dinosaur, purple, songs, and etc for me it can mean something totally different for you depending on your relationship with it.

 

That all seems to me to be pretty clear, but then I bet we have different schemas related to these words.

Which is why I give importance to lynch patterns and disagree with your contention that d1 lynch does not even provide 5% of confidence in identifying scum. It provides much more than that. I wonder why you were so adamant about that

 

A simple example is the Believer lynch in Tarmon Gaidon game. D1 lynch showed with a high probability that Believer was town and yet he was pushed and focused on D2. Why? Tone? Claim? If you never looking and thinking about the decisions each one took, it would lead to that

Yes I was...but I wasn't actively trying to get others to vote him. There were 3 trains out...Besie, Believer, and Tiink....Believer was the only one in my scum pile. so...should I lynch a townie or a scummy...now I gotta think....are you scum...should I have voted you???

 

Okay, I'll try to keep this on point. Townies dont know who is who, so your initial statement that ive lynched two of them is a moot point. I couldnt know, all I have to go on is my reasoning. Were I a wolf then perhaps you would have a point, but if youre town then you cant know that im a wolf so again, its moot since for this point to be anything other than null youd have to know things you cant know, namely my alignment or that I knew theirs.

 

Tinks next point is critical of the above. What you did by saying I lynched them was place me in sole responsibility for a group effort. Certainly, I worked towards that, but again as either alignment my goal is to attempt to get the lynches that I want processed. Moreover, tink is poking fun because you took part in the secknd lynch, which suggests that you felt that is was valid pre-flip. To later chastize another for an action you yourself were involved in appears from the outside to either be incompetence or an attempt at distancing yourself from an action that you think would create negativity regarding your slot. Neither of those are good things, to be clear.

 

As for the final post quoted, your attempts at explaining your reasoning are fine, in that you have some explanation, but are faulty which lends credence to the idea that you dont know what you are doing. The reason that they are faulty are because they show that you dont understand that ultimately, all votes are equal. Where I may have pushed a train as a townie because I was convinced of my opinion, a wolf may well have seen the opportunity to say "yeah that looks good" and followed me on what for them was an easy meal. The opposite could well be true. In your case, you state that you found him wolfy too which begs the question of why you didnt push him? If you're town you failed in not committing to a lynch you thought contained a wolf, rather than failing in lynching a townie. If you're a wolf, then you're making an error in backing away from someone you claim was a suspect, because shifting the blame often looks worse for the person shifting.

 

As for the last bit, let me quote it. "now I gotta think....are you scum...should I have voted you???"

 

This little thing here is what I call a turnaround. What it really says is that you want a suspect out of this and that you're uncomfortable with being questioned. "Now I gotta think" sounds entirely premeditated, and combined with the plethora of ...s it looks highly uncomfortable. "Are you scum", as a result, reads entirely as uncurious and instead like a very feeble attempt to get others to ask the same question of tink, and "should I have voted you???" Just reads as fake. So very fake.

 

Please understand, this isn't to cut you down. Its newly to wake you up to the concept that you're consistently living on grace because your posts, consistently, can be shredded in much this fashion as very inconsistent.

 

You are wolf, aren't you? :dry: Taking us for a ride. I can totally picture you laughing hysterically while typing this post.

This list has jumped around. Maybe rereading is something you should do. If you're genuine interest in this game is looking at how different people can behave in different situations and try and understand their thought process then you of all people should realize that your impressions of what people here are saying aren't really accurate at all until you try and look again at what they've said from their perspective.
