This is about ~ish where I'm at right now.  I'm not really sure how my colors would break down, but I'm basically not touching the top group today.  Barring an absolutely terrible EoD from Sili or AJ, or all three roles being claimed by people in the deadpool, I can't see a vote going on either of them.

 

Bottom six is pretty much warheads on foreheads at this point.  Order doesn't really matter much within the two groups, and I couldn't figure out if Seph goes above or below my Mendoza Line based on contribution, but I put him there more or less for number purposes.

Do you think, as mafia, BFG comes into this game and decides "no matter what happens, I'm going to outplay Chris"?  Forget about winning.  Forget about doing well, overall.  Just head-to-head beat me.

 

Is that ever a possibility from her?

 

No, I don't think she does that.  From what I know of BFG, and we've played together quite a few games, is she is a team player regardless of which side she is on.  I don't see her forsaking her team in order to "outplay" you , as you say.

Do you think the parallels to the Matrix game are valid?

 

I didn't hate BFG's posts, aside from disagreeing with the Sili read but that's minor to the bigger elephant in the room.

 

Tbh right now I am just soaking it all in and going circles in my own head while I sit in lab working on my sheet metal project. I am starting to get to a point where the AtE from Cory feels intentional. Like I said earlier I know he harps all the time about thread flow, environment, etc. and I kind of hate that I have to decide whether I believe his posts now. I feel the latest ones especially were laid on thick.

 

I have personally never seen Cory be looked at as a viable lynch before, in any alignment, so I really don't know how he would handle it. I've seen him sussed before and react in similar manners, but never really to this extent.

 

I am also thinking about the amount of people that have pointed it out, made comments on it, etc. And I know some theories would say there's bound to be wolves in that company if Cory is a villager I also find it hard to ignore the fact it's been mentioned by so many because the points have merit imo. Takes a village to lynch a wolf, etc.

 

So basically I am stuck deciding whether I think the reward could be worth the risk when it comes to him. If he's a villager I would feel terrible after going through all this mess but if he's a wolf I don't know if there would be another viable chance to get it done. Like already I can tell his mood is affecting others and essentially sucking the air out of the room and thus his wagon momentum.

 

So yeah, sort of mind boned rn and trying to regroup. I feel confident enough with my town reads at least.

I absolutely think they're valid.  I don't really see much of an argument against it.  As I said before, every time somebody expressed doubt over his alignment, he's turned it into a "you should read me better" or "you're playing poorly" thing.  Take his exchange with Alanna from the early evening.  She said she should have him as town by now and didn't, and he goes "yes you should".  I'll fully admit he ramped it up today and played significantly more pro-town than he did at the start of the game, but she's clearly playing catch up; it's entirely plausible that Town!Alanna wouldn't have seen him being super townie, especially when he's basically kicking her slot in the teeth.

 

I agree with a lot of the reads he's posted, but I think her point about him not really showing the work so to speak holds true.  I noted early on that it was strange of him to find Zander weird, when Zander had done what seemed like his normal game to me - something Cory would know.  Again, that was something she's communicated to me as a method for reading him and what made him stand out there: he didn't seem to "get" things that she would have expected.

 

That's not to say he's playing a clone game of it or anything, because he's not.  But there's enough similarity that her read seems pretty genuine to me and I have no problem with her saying it.

 

 

Is it correct?  Hell if I know.  I've been moving him around the bottom of my "safe" pile to the very tip of the lynchable pile for most of the day, after having him well within the lynchable pile yesterday.  I don't think I'm ever going to feel super confident in lynching him.  The fact that he's done enough to be above at least a few people (with one slot that's completely null) makes me say gun to head probably not? but I think he looks a lot worse this game than I normally see.

I really haven't had a lot of issues with his content. I also haven't analyzed it as deeply as say BFG did. For instance, I didn't think much of it yesterday when people continued to say that he seemed different. He admitted he would be, so whatever. The problems I'm having that I can't really get past are what I pointed out earlier, where his behavior is in such contrast to what I know he firmly believes in. The first issue I've really had with him this game was his mailing it in post this morning, among others. I've seen him brush aside accusations before to an extent so I don't think that's heavily indicative but I don't understand why he continues to get tangled up in arguments that reduce down to calling people bad.

I'm not close to feeling comfortable with Darthe yet and as I said earlier there's a good bit of polarity between him and Cory that will say a lot about the other. I'm curious as to why he has me as one of his top town reads after making a comment that I seem atypical to my usual self.

 

I would like more consistent content from BFG, but I wasn't unimpressed or anything with her posts from tonight. I'm also taking what you said into consideration.

 

Zanalynn trended up some as well for me. My reservations were more with Laine and I think she brought some decent content tonight. I also think her trepidation irt Cory is genuine.

 

The people I feel most confidently are town are you, Sirren and Regy, and Sili. Pretty much unless you're a wolf with BFG I don't think you'd go to such depth in forming that read. Even if it was a w/v scenario, that was a hell of a leveling play that I'm not anywhere close to tinfoiling on. Probably never will tbh.

 

Sili is a player I think is obvious in either alignment. I've never really had a hard time sussing him out as scum because his reads tend to be pretty superficial. Erratic and all that, it's depth I'm looking for with his thoughts and I think he's cleared his wolf range atp.

I don't necessarily disagree with any of this.  I don't know that I have the confidence you do on Sili being out of his range, but I would agree he's significantly more likely to be town than mafia.  

 

The only thing I wouldn't really sign off on is that Darthe/Cory necessarily gives us information about the other.  I think we can rule out m/m, but I haven't completely ruled out T/T, though if that's the case I probably speedlynch Zalanna and clean up the rest of my pile from the bottom up.

If you read Sili in Darthe's game, which I know you didn't, I think you'd see what I mean. As much as he'll probably hate me for saying it I think Sili is obvious when he is scum once you get past the weird stuff and into the meat of his thought process.

 

I haven't completely ruled out a v/v scenario either but atm I'm finding it more unlikely than not. If I'm just completely wrong, then yeah, I'd need to wipe the board and start from scratch with mostly everyone save for the four I just talked about.

I think you are town this game. You've had perfect answers for a lot of questions. Your reads make sense. Your willingness to work with people is a good sign. Activity. Tone. Basically, if you're mafia, congratulations on your win. Because you're playing one of the stronger scum games I've seen recently.

 

But the more obvious answer is you're just town. So I'm willing to sheep you, but I need you to be straight with me: do you feel comfortable enough with Sirren to tell me I should honestly just write her off?
