Disregard my earlier comments. At least as far as Hallia on the Kat progression. Would still like an answer on the Princess read.

Am I the only one that thinks caldar's absence is suspicious?

I don't find it alignment indicative; he typically participates regardless O.o

I could perhaps go to Kat. She's not giving out that Town Vibe that I've relied on with her.

Dice/Celeste seems super simple.

Snow?

I'm hoping there are some PRs out there that know what to do in this situation so we aren't stuck running circles in D2.

Oh god; just finished a game on VS so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I feels so good.

Also this was your progression on Princess in a nutshell.

You: Princess is on point for her town game.

Balrog: Uhhh, she was scum that game.

You: Oh. She's my next top scum read then.

???

@ Hallia: If your scum reading princess based entirely around that one game you played with her, I'd say take a step back. On VS we've seen a wild fluctuation in her play style over the past few games. I think meta-reading her is going to be hard, almost impossible; until she finds a groove. I would have fully believed her to be scum playing her MO last game, had I not already known that wasn't the case. Even between the game you played and her playing here there are some differences so even if you could use meta on her, this isn't the time to do it.

Open question to everyone:

When you are scum, how willing are you to bus your teammates? If your teammates bussed you, how would you react?
If a scummate has the most lynch votes, how hard will you fight to save them? If they are absent, what would you do?

I intentionally avoided this when you asked it lol

Bussing teammates makes me really uneasy, because if you push hard on someone, it's hard to drop them naturally, and if needed defend them later. I wouldn't want to bus a teammate unless they were virtually doomed. I'd make an attempt to save them, but it would probably be really shaky and easily rebuked by an active townie.

I guess the more I'm getting concerned with Dice the more I remember how many villagers he spewed in DR by treating them like he knew they were villagers.

What does this mean?

---

If Celeste flips town, then I'd think the people on the CFD look alright, because why make a public spectacle of yourself killing a townie when a lynch in your favour is already in the bag?
That said, a lot of people are tossing Dice's name for tomorrows lynch. I'd be okay with that because I really didn't like there 'not-defence' of Zander and the way they threw Shade at Lenlo for "Not considering that Zander could be town" when I do that crap all the time. I think town needs to be confident in their actions as to not lose ground backtracking. I don't mean be thick-headed about it (Not that I think Lenlo was) just, when you come to a conclusion, you've come there for a reason.

Well it's better than lynching town.

And we have the added benefit of knowing scum would have zero qualms jumping on that wagon

Hallia :hopper:

Perhaps zero qualms in leading that wagon too, eh?  :hopper:

I kid, just going back and reading the flip.

I wasn't voting Princess though, was I?

I think it's more that I have a hard time trusting her now. If you know her play better, PB I'll defer, but I do not trust her.

Har har :uno:

More seriously though, I forget who mentioned it, but I could've just stayed on Celeste and ride that lynch if I was scum.

Anything catch your eye from PC?

That's fair. I'm not saying I trust her either. Just that using her meta from last game may not yield the best results.

I noticed that Key was the first person to notice Kat's vote on Celeste. He quoted it and just said "Oh. Hm." but nothing else. Key only unvoted after you began posting that you wouldn't mind changing your vote to Kat, and yet is not the first person to follow you in lynching Kat, but rather is the fourth person to vote (Order of votes: AJ, PBF, Hallia, Key, Kat). I'm counting PBF as having voted second because even though she messed up the tags, her intentions were clear and she does then fix it by voting properly.

It's just interesting that Key was very noncommittal to voting Kat, but once it became clear that enough votes might go that way, then they voted. But Key clearly didn't want to be the first person to do it.

I don't know if it means anything. Could be timing, could be intentional.

I also did want to say, because it's kind of bugging me, but I feel like Celeste's claim of being VT is garbage and shouldn't have outweighed the reasons why you were all voting for her. Vanilla town is literally the safest claim in a game like this for scum to make. We have no idea what kind of powers anyone has, and claiming vanilla means no one will counter claim you because there's probably a handful of players who are VT right now. I literally just watched a game where scum let town vote for their teammate, didn't put up any resistance, and then in the last hour pulled off a CFD on a town player using several arguments, among which was "no one is opposed to x getting lynched, feels odd".

hahaha, yeah.

Also, it took her SO LONG to claim it! AJ, you asked her like, THREE TIMES before she even answered you, and it was SO UNDERWHELMING when I made it online and saw that she'd claimed VT. Like, wow, good job *slow clap* You didn't claim for the whole day even after being asked repeatedly, and then at the last chance claimed and AFK'd.

It feels false. Not claiming made me think she was leading up to a power claim, but if she was just going to claim Vanilla Town, she could have done that whenever, there wasn't any need to hold off for so long. Unless she wanted to make sure you all didn't have ample opportunity to talk out her claim and make a decision. Clock was ticking and a decision had to be made.

But yeah :-/

I don't disagree with you Sirren. Obviously now I wish I would've stayed the course but I wasn't technically wrong about Kat either. She looked like opportunistic scum jumping on the late wagon.

We just found out after the fact it was on purpose

Fwiw I thought Key had a genuine feel of distress over EOD that I think tends to happen more to villagers than scum. Celeste's flip could shed more light on it though if she flips scum.
