I can say that Princess is a highly analytical player who thrives on ISOing players and pointing out inconsistencies. She's known for walls of text, but has difficulty reading tone. This is true for her town AND scum games. She's also relatively new to mafia in general - this will be her sixth game I believe, whereas I've been playing for a year now.

I tried unsuccessfully to tone read her last game, so I'm uncertain what's going to happen when she gets into the thick of this game. When she does show up though, expect a lot of serious analysis from her.

Shad said something earlier that I think was important irt Balrog.

Do you agree/disagree?

You'd have to point me to the specific post, or the page it's on so I can find it.

PB is playing pretty much exactly how I've seen him play as town twice before.

I don't know if his wolf game looks any different, but I'm certainly not bothered.

Princess was kind enough to find the post, lol

So Balrog is interesting. He's never a high poster, but there IS a difference when he scum - he's never there. As scum Balrog avoids the thread as much as possible, because he find it hard to make reads. You might think, it's not hard at all, just don't bus your team, but he finds it hard to think of good REASONS to vote someone when he's scum, because he knows who the town are. So he just avoids the thread and voting.

So the more he participates, commenting on our reads, MAYBE making a few of his own (but don't count on it) and voting, I'd say it's safe to town read him.

Regarding what Princess said, being apologetic is not a scum tell for him. She's seen him as scum only once and town maybe twice. He can and has been apologetic as town.

But it's mostly feeling like the noob. I'm not sure where to start.

I think you jumped in pretty fine already haha.

Yeah, I got over myself :P switching to the computer helped too

Okay, I'm back.  Went to bed early last night.  If I told you why you would say TMI.    Anyways I am not going to try and do a bunch of ISO's like I did last game and put it all in one post cause that just made it messy.  And I forgot why I put up what I did anyway.    Oh and I just got done re-reading the thread...and doing 1 easy ISO....

Well my reply box isn't showing the quotes just a blank screen so I couldn't reply in same thread....anyway....

This is sili's second time making a mistake about what he posted and then automatically fixing it...the first one was already posted by a couple of people so felt no need to repost it....when he mixed up John Snow with seph.....

There's been a lot of talk about Sili and the first mistake post and how sili is an "erratic" [my word - cause that is what it boils down to for me] player, how yes this is like him, no this is like him.... If he's gonna play, play.

Did an ISO on Hallia....She is questioning a little bit...not on as often as I would like to see...but don't want to judge to quickly....I wagoned her d1 last game and she was town...so don't want to make same mistake twice..

PBF: By saying "Maybe I should say screw it and start lurking" does kind of come across as emo; I don't think he was attacking you.

I'm liking Sooh's thoughts and posts, she sounds good to me.

Catching up as the little ones allow.

I decided to do mine in order on OP because I don't want people nit picking on why I did that one first or waited to do that one last...  If something really weird comes up I might do an ISO on someone early and post my reasons then.

I don't meant o sound harsh above about the not responding to more questions about these reads, but I seriously don't want to waste town time/scum-hunting time on reads that are basically ound to change and mean little to anything in the long-term game.

Maybe not as much the follow-up.  I was thinking more on the line of villager is open about weak reads, gets lynched for being blatantly honest, feels a bit more frustrated explaining them again next game but does it anyway because not concerned about appearance.

The waste of time bit is meh.

Still a > rand town thought process overall.

Uh, most people who say i'm erratic or whatever don't really know me. I'm very rational, intuitive, and mostly carefree. Combine those attributes with different real life situations and you get the appearance of being erratic.

Though sometimes I can be quite upset, but that's neither here or there.

The point is this, I was posting on my phone while busy and distracted.  lol. So I don't know where this started, and from people who don't know me it's pretty towny (trying to figure someone out despite what the rest of the thread says), but this sounds like a waste of time discussing it.

Just so I don't post a mile of quote:

Dice, I had a thought while catching up about Hallia and Sili, and through scanning the next few posts I didn't see that anyone had said something to the effect that I did, that's why I did it.

About AJ I am worried that he might be a wolf and fool me, therefore a slight town lean. It's his constant being in the thread and answering questions and leading the conversation that leads me to believe that he's town here, not that he agrees with me.

Explaning terms: I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to give my answer in full sentences. I will do better next time.

Yea or nay tone wise?

So yeah, I'd agree with Shad's impression of Balrog.

Cool, thanks.

Masons wouldn't even be a thought that occurred to me unless both parties were explicitly town reading each other.

That's hardly the case here.

Sili called Zander a wolf and then recanted. Zander called Sili suss and then proceeded to give me a hard time about it for pointing out most of the same things.

So no, not Masonic behavior imo.

I have no idea about the rarity of masons, or any other character tbh, I just remember from the other thread I just signed up for that their game set-up would include mason's and goons, as well as a doctor and other roles I am more familiar with, and didn't want to discount the possibility here.

Thinking about this more, bringing up the rarity of the role wasn't a very good point. Every game is different, in theory, so yeah.

The better detail was their interactions thus far, none of which would come from Masons imo. So no, the thought never crossed my mind.

How you explain your read on AJ is very generic.

Andrej: I finished his ISO...seems...okay to me so far...he hasn't done any of that weird stuff in the last game we played that made me VK him N1,

Lenlo: don't have much to go on right now....so in the middle right now..

Keyholder21: another one I don't have much to go on right now....

My take on Sili currently is that he is a person of interest. The last time I caught him as scum he made a lot of posts that were confusing/unclear and disappeared a lot. When I pushed him he claimed a guilty cop view on me. So currently he is mildly suspicious but I will see what he comes back with whenever he does.

I am voting Zander so that should be a pretty good indicator of where I stand with him. If you want to know specifics I imagine you have already glossed over them considering he is in the bottom of your suspect pile. I do find it troublesome that he made a point to challenge me on Sili though.

Hallia I don't have much of a read on. I think her town read on Sili for superficial reasons wasn't good, but that's not scum behavior for her necessarily.

Are you trying to equate day 2 or 3 with day 1 in your meta of me? And what exactly are you implying by the bold?

I can confirm it's normal for hallia to make tone reads like that. She did it last game a lot and I had to stress over what it meant. She was town.

Im not awkward. My phrasing is even good. Its me not elaborating that makes you say im awkward. Thats something else. Happens when i dont think twice about communicating.

Do you ever think twice before communicating???

When it's important I do. But usually I just type like I talk,

Changed my mind when it seemed like you were thinking about peoplemore. Made me reconsider my view. It was just one post after all.

Why would Z thinking about people more chsnge your mind? What was one post?

If it's important I'll quote it later. The essence is this: when someone isn't thinking about the game yet are here for an extended period, they have wolf equity.

Posted

In the game I'm talking about you were lynched D2 and I had already started pursuing you in D1. So I'm not sure what you're asking.

I'm implying that Zander is handling you oddly.

Posted

If Zander is scum I would say Sili's scum equity goes up and Key's goes down significantly.

#hottakes

I'll have to look at that again, but scum!Zander typically isn't the sort to spew much.

His Sili comments didn't even really bother me tbh, and I can just as easily see him say "this isn't scummy, it's null" about a villager when the statement is generally true.

My concern with Zander is more an absence of independent thought and a manner of sussing people that strikes me as more random than legit Z paranoia.

Basically Sili lives or dies on his own merit whatever Z's alignment imo.
