I think the general disgruntlement surrounding it is that charismatic players don't typically say x as town for the sake of preserving their wolf integrity. ("See, I would say this as either alignment.  I said it as town last time.")  They town that s--- up and raise the bar for their next scum game.

Not a reason to damn a player no one has ever seen town before, just why it instinctively didn't sit right with me.

This is such backward reasoning, Shad, 'cause it assumes that they say X as wolf because they are wolves, and would say something different as town if they weren't "preserving wolf integrity".  A good player models their scum game on their town game, not vice versa (if only because, Bessie's streak of amazing evil aside, probabilities insist we'll all play roughly 3 times as many town games as scum games)

Only caught up to page 5

That entire post made me laugh thane. I have to be more wary of you now, you tricked me pretty well last game.

Bessie, if you actually randed town you would tell us, right?

I'd give you the same answer I would as wolf, yes.

Which is also the answer I gave you when we first played together.

Wolfy imo
I don't like this, I am already agreeing with darthe. I also like him the best so far.
It's really cute how you always try to find the wolves between the actual active posters.

Not sure what this mean; are you saying he should look from the inactive posters?  o.O

Euhm.... just lol.

We literally just played a game with him where he was town. What did he do? He tried to find out who the scum were. That's kinda the point, right? So that's the first part of my sentence.

Second part of the sentence is referring to, once again, the game we just played (and pretty much all mafia games ever). When someone is inactive it does not make them town. We are 15 people in this game atm. At that point in time like 5 people (#themathishard) were actively talking.

My post didn't say anything alignment - wise. It simply stated the obvious.

Which apparently isn't very obvious to you.

Time to hire someone to decipher besie's hidden secrets.

Besie do you have any feels, one way or the other on anyone?

Her brain is a scary place....

Her brain is a wonderful place, you just need to know how to navigate it. With some booze, goat offerings and virgin blood, it's significantly easier, though.

I just snorted with laughter at this. I also really liked this entire post of yours, Thane. Imo you sound calm and collected. Not saying you weren't as scum; just saying imo it didn't feel too forced.

Statistically, Besie being wolf yet again would be insane (and one would have made a lot of money if there would have been bets on it)

on the other hand, she did want to break the new player scum streak record, and can be stubborn.....

All completely true. Unfortunately, my stubbornness has no effect on what Sooh randed for the players in this game.

Turin just sounds confused on p10. Are you okay? Yes, Dice was definitely joking about lynching me. But just sort of. Because I'm known for being wolf.

From what I can tell, you were wolf in the game you are referring. Why bring it up? Why not a simple yes, instead of a "I'd say yes either way, wolf or not (refer to wolf game)"

Someone has answered this. I don't keep my town game great by learning from the times I'm wolf. I uphold my wolf game by making sure I play the same when I'm town.

Voting the mod counts as self vote from here on out.

Why is this a bad thing?

It isn't.

Your post about seph looking for wolves in the active players is still bugging me, and I clearly wasn't the only one that it bothered. Yes, you were pointing out the obvious. The question is why. What was the point of mentioning this? Of course he's going to look for scum in the active players.

What's the point of mentioning anything? Have you not been giving your opinion on random posts? Or are you just critisizing one of the few people that actually do? I do not think the same way you do. I look for reads in different places; in different ways.

And that, is what makes mafia work. We're supposed to work together and find the one person that everyone has as scum, albeit for different reasons. If you are completely against a vote because you don't like their reasoning, rather than having your own reasons for thinking them town? Then I have nothing to say to you.

Besie, my all-knowing sense on Shad (well, very strong gut here) is that he's town this game *nods*

I do hope you are too

Very well. You do have great gut reads. Both as town and as wolf.

To everyone missing the obvious, the last was a joke. Duh. Stop seeing trouble where there's none to be found.

Another way of answering this is...

Why not.

Another part of the game is understanding why people say what they do. Understanding where someone is coming from helps understand what they are trying to convey. Very useful tool for town.

You seem to be avoiding doing that.

Agreed, with the part in bold.

Nah, I'm not. I've explained exactly where I'm coming from fully. Did you miss that post; would you like me to quote it; or would you like me to post a link to the previous game I was referring to?

The gut is strong in this one   :baalzamon:  :flamingsword:

, also, you're not completely wrong, I did pick the NK on Kivam (sorta)

First of all, no. I don't want you to link me to another game. I'm not gonna look. I go on my personal experiences with people. If I wasn't in the game, it doesn't matter to me.

Secondly, you agree that understanding where people are coming from is useful. I wanted to know why you said what you did about seph, and your response was "why not". This is me trying to understand you, and you are blowing me off.

The above post alone practically guarantees town elrick. Havent read up yet, just saw that and wanted to comment.

I think I figured out what was bugging me about it. It's the fact that it's obvious. Looking for scum in active players is what everyone does, and I couldn't figure out why you were pointing it out.

Also, why did you specifically point it out about seph?

This is what I get for passing on mobile with a now-mobile one year old distracting me. Meant to finish that first sentence with "anyone else"? Or are the rest of us here?

For now: [v]zander[/v]

Raisins?

Pretty sure he mentioned them.

Sili still hasn't checked in. FTR, and out-of-game for a sec, setup speculation based on numbers is cool, specifically based on the move from 13-15 is kind of a spirit of the game issue IMO (playing the mod), so let's kill it with fire, ok peeps?

well, alright. I just want to know how many baddies i have to help lynching so we can have a celebration party.

Guess it's pafo, right?

I think everybody else has at least posted something of sorta importance.

Interesting vote there, btw.

Why do you think the vote is interesting Thane?

because, if there's no improvement from Zander, I think that's where my vote will go too. I know he's sick and all, but still... one is judged one gameplay

Saying no improvement would imply you had an issue with my posting till that point would it not?

What about my game play needs improvement?
