I know. That is my point. They made a big fuss at my work one day bc only 1 person (guess who) wasnt contributing to the 401-K for their free money. I responded that I dont believe in them.

 

1. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Economics 101. Opportunity cost. If I am getting a bit of money to put away my earned cash in a lockbox for 45 years than it aint free. I likely wont live to see it. It is like burning money.

Yo Cory all this wasting your money talk has me inspired. All these mid-20s birthdays and parties in general have gotten stale. I need to bounce some off the wall ideas.

 

Idea 1: somehow a lazertag place is still in business near me decades after I have heard anyone discuss lazertag.

 

Would it be awesome or idiotic to rent it out for my birthday people only (no randos) and be ridiculous.

My issue is with sooh's initial read on hally. I know it wasn't her peek. I was just pointing out that was the only reason imo for town to already have a read on hally.

 

As for her subsequent posts, she isn't addressing the initial read. Sure she has moved it from dark green to light green. She has more info to base a read on now. But it just feels to me like backpedalling. She posted someone as an easy town peek, got asked about it, and lacking a reason for the strong peek goes "oh she's actually lower now"

I'm really not that confident in my reads yet, I feel like there hasn't been a lot to go off of, just the same "why did you vote x, I don't like that, you only do xyz as wolf, yadda yadda yadda". Basically, there hasn't been a lot of substance and that bothers me as far as D1 goes. As for noting my list, Kronos is my peek, Monstr is giving me good feels. Turin, though I didn't agree with some of his pushes, his responses have been solid enough. Lenlo and BFG slightest town reads because their posts didn't make me want to throw my laptop at the wall. The huge null section either made me want to throw my computer at the wall, has given me no leans thus far, or hasn't posted at all. Nulls are mostly un-ordered. I really really hate having Zander as my lowest read but there is something off and his pushes are not coming off to me as genuine enough. I'm also having a hard time following some of his arguments because they don't make logical sense and I know he knows better than to try and put a square peg in a round hole.

Its difficult to not view you as a wolf when you already have reads on everyone and are tossing several of the most active players in with people who havent posted.

The only really active player in her nulls is you and she says you're going to be a difficult read. And since when has posting a lot meant anything about getting a read on somebody?

 

 

 

Darthe, BFG's nitpicky silly questions that seem to have no meaning somehow result in her making meaningful reads and I have no idea how she does it but there is method to her maddness. I just wish it made sense.

 

Calder hasn't posted at all.

 

I only remember two posts of Thane's, one is right here on p25 and the other one was a post saying he'd be back or something. I don't remember any kind of meaningful contribution though. Hello, I'm pot, nice to meet you kettle. 

 

I'm confident that Darthe will be hard read for me this game per usual unless he does something stunningly townie so I'm waiting for that, please don't let me down. If you do, we can just lynch a wolf.

 

Additionally, Eldrick and Sooh are separated from my null list because they are naturally scummy. Eldrick has kind of been all over the map but I appreciate him trying to get things going at the start of the game. However, I know that Eldrick is perfectly capable of that as a wolf. And I also know that people clear him precisely because he's a unique player and they expect him to do strange things. In regards to Sooh, there were some posts that fell completely flat for me and that's what's giving her a lower read, however I did like her responses to Zander about Turin. So they both kinda have +/- and I'm not sure what to do with either, I guess. Fence sitting, I am. Will sort them latter, definitely.

I read the post describing the fact that your votes have been random. I didn't feel that your ignoring the unvote was a part of that.

 

It's a scum tactic to vote someone without unvoting to make it look like you want to move your vote when you really don't. That's why it bugged me.
