Am feeling pretty sick, and am in two other games, plus trying to fill signups for my own game. These are mere excuses for lack of content, but yeah, this game was not my priority yesterday.

I am going back and gonna do what I do best - initial reads.

I'm feeling comfortable with my read on her because that's usually how I play games when we're together. I read her as town almost with complete accuracy. You can ask Laine/Cass.

If she turns out to be scum, all I can say is that I messed up. But atm, there's no reason why I should doubt my read on her.

What's your read on Pizza if you take out his distance from Zander? My take on it is he's giving Zander space to do his thing without tilting him into endless circles on D1, which is a good approach IMO.

I think Pizza has been pretty vocal about figuring out who he can trust as town. He's been open in this regard and it comes off more towny than most players in this game. I need to refresh my memory on what he's been doing on the other end of the spectrum, because I don't remember much scum hunting but until I ISO him later that's not really a fair statement.

Because I know how to read Penny (Celeste), though she kind of lacks content, it can be safe to say she's town. I've explained before.

So far, judging by the first page:

Shad, Laine looking good.

Cass, Zander, slight town.

Lenlo, Turin, null to possibly scummy.

(these are not my final reads, but my initial reads are often correct, so please don't bypass this).

Hyperactive Cass, overly excited. Seems towny. At first in other games I was wary of town-reading her, because I tend to find excitement rather contrived, but it's kind of her modus operandi.

What is it about a simple smile that feels forced or genuine?. This post, however, tells me nothing, because it doesn't make sense to read someone based off a smile.

Current thoughts on these two are that there's ?probably too much interaction and Town-Town calling there for them to be W-W. Lenlo possibly a more likely candidate for non-Town (but this with full disclosure that I'm reading Lenlo much the same as everything I read of his in the Diablo game and he flipped Town).

@Laine, can you explain 'being cute' and why it was important to you? Ie - what's your assessment of the cuteness in relation to initial reads?

I like the bolded part at this point in the game, but the underlined part feels like a stretch to me. Don't really like it.

I'm pretty sure Laine at this point means that it was just a cute thing... And to single this interaction out instead of Laine's earlier comment on Cass randing wolf, which was also done jokingly, doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm slightly wary of Alanna right now...

I guess I could chalk it up to Cass being overexcited about this game, but actually, Lainey looks better than Cass atm in terms of naturalness and tone.

As I said before, excitement always reads scummy to me, so I'm going to have to withhold judgement. Otherwise, the tone would feel kind of fake to me.

Also, to clarify your question about why I say that I like using my brain versus using tone/gut -- it makes more sense logically to use my brain, but honestly, both are factored in if I use my intuition. Intuition is just harder to explain -- and that should probably give you an indication as to why. (And I'm pretty sure I answered this question already, even if in a different way. Please read, since it makes me annoyed that you aren't, and I honestly don't think it's fair to scum read you because you're ignoring posts that would explain the questions you ask about other posts.)

@ Cass, I would say that Lenlo posting in that manner is completely null for him. Also too early for it to mean anything about Shad as they were basically the only two in thread at that time.

I think this consideration is fair, too. I do agree that if you were to read into it, though, Lenlo would come out slightly scummier. Looking good for Turin, because at least on a surface level, I agree with him.

Negative from where I'm up to, starting with that Umm (as nothing as that seems/could be). Last I saw she was in a huff about people questioning the timing of her unvote and congratulating them on picking her for a mislynch. I have played twice with TownPenny, pushed her ridiculously and voted her for what I thought was lock-scum contradictory logic and she never lost her cool.

This is somehow out of tone for me espec7ally given Zanny's earlier posts around here. Awkward switch of ... Approach.

Can you explain this further Csarmi?

1. What differences are you seeing?

2. What is awkward about the change in approach?

Where I am currently...

1. Shad: I didn't like the meta incident. Further I really didn't like the way he tried to frame the argument that it was a stupid discussion. It felt like an attempt to nullify any resistance without having to actually back up his earlier statement.

2. Kaylee: I am concerned about two times that she basically asked a question but then gave an easy "okay" to the answer. If this is holding cards close then it might be acceptable but it felt like looking like trying to solve without actually trying to solve.

3. Zander: He seems to be asking the right questions and he did repeat some of the questions I was asking when he was catching up and posting. The shouting has come down some which makes him easier to physically read if not as obvious in his alignment.

4. Turin: by Role PM

5. Pizza: Unsure.. I didn't like the entire note taking thing that felt like something non-game related to post to be "helpful". Maybe I would care about it if I took notes. Active and doing things but nothing that makes him obvious town. also curious to see what his thoughts were about he changing read on me. I may be biased there however.

6. Csarmi: not much content. I read his OP as null. Value does not equal alignment. Need more from him.

7. Laine: Disagree with her point about me. Also didn't like the comment to Lenlo regarding her having him as top town read. Feels like pocket attempt.

8. Leno: Nothing so far that is pinging to me. I know that he has improved his game all around but I will give credit for his willingness to question someone that was town reading him.

9. Wish-tree: Trying to remember what she has said. Nothing coming to me ATM.

10. Pralaya: Starting the pool for when he makes his first post. I got 04/01/2016 2230 GMT. That is January 4th for americans.

11. Celeste: Despite her attempt to claim otherwise some posts reading as AtE. Also never liked people coming in and saying they are playing at a higher level. This may be clouding my view a bit however.

12. Nolder: not much so far from Nolder aside from his question and results. Seems like an easy thing to post in either alignment.

Im not a fan of this reads list. Its not just because I have different reads it just feels like one of those lists Scum tend to throw together just for the sake of doing so. Kinda wishy wahsy, with weak reasoning imo.

Either Wish is town who reads her well and we should take her opinion pretty seriously here, or Wish is scum buddying the hell out of a town. Scum!Wish defending scum!Celeste to the extent that she has thus far would be pretty counterproductive. It banks on no one ISOing previous games to verify her statements. It banks on someone like me stepping in and putting on the breaks, because a generic town lynches Wish as soon as Celeste flips scum, and Celeste is certainly on the table today.

I think Wish is town. I certainly wouldn't lynch her today.

@cass I attempt I lost it yesterday but it's because I want someone to at least recognize that I'm different from my two games on this site that I randed scum. I always get instant scum read when I'm playing town usually. It just doesn't help that people try and pressure me because I do lose my cool. Take that as you wish.

You are continuing to raise obscure points that seem borderline nuts to me. I like what you've done with them, all in all. I feel like you're putting in the work and have shown signs of looking deeper than your initial concerns at times. But really, is an "Umm" prefix the sort of thing you normally latch onto as an indicator? It seems so frivolous in the wake of quite a bit of content.

Red, my scum order was borderline arbitrary except for Turin being the least bad of the four, and I posted that prior to/still haven't finished absorbing Laine's most recent catch-up post(s?).

Frankly I'm tripped out by the disorganization in this villa. Maybe it's a consequence of town coming together pretty strong in our last three games vs a lot of unfamiliar faces here giving everyone the willies. Pizza's inability to reach a resolution on you has had me second-guessing myself all game and I don't know if there's something different about him or if you're a little off this game and we're both seeing it. I don't have any compelling reason to think you're scum, I'm just not seeing super-obvious town Zander yet. (Is part of that also colored by my decision to hard-clear you out the gate when I was scum last game? Maybe. You might not have been as obvious in that game as I let myself believe, since I wasn't trying to figure you out and had no incentive to fabricate uncertainty.)

It felt like you werent very certain of them. So it felt like you had no solid feels for them. Like no one in Red if that makes sense.

And Ill keep Towning just as I do and Im sure you'll get there eventually....if youre Town ofc that is!!!!
