I might very well be wrong about this course of events and said as much.  But I think part of why it stood out to me more on your end is posts like this.  I would say you... lack a filter to know when it's totally unnecessary to defend yourself in a situation, and I have to piece together what that means regarding your alignment.

 

I would say Zander is more of a meta read than your average player.  First time I played with him I remember stopping at one point and saying "dude what are you even doing in my town pile?" because he spent a long stretch of the game seemingly sheeping us.  But he was on the right side of history consistently and there was sincerity in his enthusiasm to win.  I've come to figure out that Zander is never going to offer terribly much in the way of original arguments but he knows what a good argument looks like and there's a consistency to his thought process.  As scum he played more against the grain and his reasons for doing so were shallow.  (He actually won that first game for us by picking up the torch after town core had been killed off and pressing the op course of action enough to eventually sway the remaining town--after they ignored him and lynched the doc, of course.)

Thane is playing maybe the best town game I've seen out of him.  Does he town better as scum than as town?  Uh, no.  I don't expect Zander to be an easy catch but he has done absolutely nothing to ping me in 250+ posts and it definitely didn't go down that way when I encountered him as scum even though I did read him as strong town for a while.  I've never been anything but v/v with Sili but he and I (sort of like me and AJ) seem to click and start treating each other differently when we reach a point in a game where we both fully trust each other.  Our wink and nod and I'll not spoil your experiments if you don't spoil mine thing is happening here and I don't think it could unless he's town.

 

Cory didn't start out so hot with me, and I didn't want to admit I was sussing him until I had more to work with, but lately he's trended up substantially.  There are still a handful of things that have me wondering--he had Dice pretty high and Pral pretty low before I saw enough content to get there myself--but the facts that I did reach roughly the same position as him eventually and that the TMI possibility is not remotely bothersome on a gut level makes me want to believe he's just better at reading those two than I am.  The content of his quick response regarding hydra QT to Clov really pushed me to full 'I'll trust you until i have cause not to' mode and bumped him slightly above Yates for me.  But should I be concerned about his approach to Nomi?  Laine is hard to read when she's playing catch-up and I'm generally null but unconcerned on her half.

 

I feel like I've mindmelded with Yates a lot this game.  A part of me wonders if there are too many people he's keeping on the low end of the spectrum but by and large they're the same people I've been concerned about.  He's been protective of Lenlo and that's maybe odd? but I haven't dug back to check out his initial reasons.  Like Cory he's too strong for me to lock in but I trust him.

 

I feel like I have a pretty strong reason to call Dice town and it's striking an odd balance with the fact that he was my secret top scum read for half of this phase.  I'm going to err on the side of one strong town tell negates a lot of scummy play because that's how I approach Dice in general.  To be fair he's been cleared by circumstances in every single game I've ever played with him as v/v and AoL is the only one where I read him solid town beforehand.

 

Clov would be higher if it weren't for a few brief statements that didn't ring honest to me, most notably his interpretation of Sili's Zander vote.  But overall I've seen a lot of pro-town prodding and I feel like he's been proactively trying to solve a lot more than most of you.  I can't hate that.

 

Hallia sounds more thoughtful to me in subtle ways that I can't describe.  There's an element of 'surely she didn't rand scum 4 of her last 6 games' that I will never be able to shake even though it's garbage, but blocking that out as much as possible I think she's town here.

Sooh has been feisty in a way that I don't find indicative, but if she's town it's stalling her game from showing.  She was an easy read in Frozen and got mislynched for an idiotic reason (my bad ).  I didn't make her my top town read as scum in Pulp Fiction for raisins.  There was a moment at the very beginning where I felt like she was kicking off another town game and I'm going to continue to give her that.  I tried to give her a bit of a confidence boost earlier and it didn't really help, but eh Sooh I know you can be an awesome townie so if you're with me let me know it!

 

Lenlo's been tunneled on Zander being tunneled on Lenlo, and I haven't given him a good ISO, but maybe because I'm semi-fluent in Zanderese and I have almost no experience with Lenlo it just feel like the distraction between those two is mostly on Len's end.  I don't know if he's not making other reads or if I'm just forgetting them because it seems to always come back to the same thing.  I need to put more work into him before I pass judgment.

 

Tab is another player I don't know and she's said a lot of things that felt like commentary without much sincere analysis.  I was especially concerned early because I saw high potential for Dice/Tab w/w, and I still don't like how she approached Dice's criticism of Clov.  But she made some posts today that seemed more thoughtful and Dice is off my radar so I'm going to give her a pass and see how she progresses.  On that note [unvote]

Pral felt really townie in Belichick and a wee bit scummy when he subbed back into Frozen, and he flipped town both times.  His content is traditionally so low that I don't feel like I have much meta to go on despite having played with him twice before.  I don't know what to make of his fight with Cory because I don't really have a grasp on how he thinks, but I want to look at his cases on Zander and Sooh again before deadline.  I could say what he did differently in Belichick that made him an easy read, but I would really like for him to come up with it himself.

 

If Rack flips scum I'm claiming like 80% of the credit for it and Clov can have the rest.  If he flips town, I'll be really, really disappointed in him.  He made a factually flawed argument and I tried to dig at it in a way that should only stress him out if he's actually scum.  His defeatist conclusion definitely makes me think he felt the heat.

 

I left Nomi out of this list intentionally.

Sure, I get that - but I was basically challenging you for the same evidence.    I wrote three paragraphs explaining why I thought your case was flawed, and you responded to me with an equally long post.  You responded to my argument about the vote with this:

Well since I'm about to get lynched most likely I'm just gonna lay it all on the table here. As for my reads, none are particularly strong but:

 

Sooh came off as weird to me when being pressured. I don't think she handled it well and it seemed kind of scummy to me.

Cory seems off to me this game but it's a total gut read.

I still think Lenlo responded to the random early game pressure poorly but people have implied/said that he isn't the most well regarded person on this forum so I could see someone like that reacting poorly to pressure.

 

As for some people I feel good about:

Nomi for trying to delay the hammer. I think this was a very pro town move as I don't think scum would be rushing to stop a hammer on a townie before said townie can get on to speak.

You Clov, because you've been one of the more active people when it comes to questioning and you've seemed very townie to me.

I kinda like Shad too, but it's mostly a gut thing.

 

Everyone else falls on a range of neutral or I barely remember their posts so those are the only real thoughts I have. Now for the more interesting part I guess. My role is that I can shoot someone when I get lynched. Right now I'm leaning Sooh since I think my lynch is inevitable at this point. I'm gonna go ahead and let me people try to persuade me on who to kill as well but just know that I may or may not listen. I feel like I've answered all the questions I can about the Zander thing and I've been nothing but honest about the entire situation but I understand the votes though. I'll come back and try to be better next game.

This is definitely true. I think this is why I had a positive gut read on you and Clov. Whereas most people just said that my story didn't add up and stuff, you and Clov were genuinely questioning and trying to get to the bottom of it. It seemed like a very pro-town action.
