The fact he's being helpful means ~nothing towards his alignment. AJ is a very good player so I don't think he's incapable of making that post as mafia at all. I think Mafia!AJ would probably WANT a bunch of early fakepeeks, since they (theoretically) would have a lower likeliness of being accurate and that helps narrow the NK poe, but I don't think he's going to come in and recommend it - especially when a handful of us recently played with him in the same setup when he waited to post a peek for accuracy reasons. He was town, and I'm positive he's smart enough to know the sudden change of heart would stand out.

That being said, I don't see how it would ever warrant a FoS. I'm giving him 0 towncred for trying to be helpful, but I don't see a reasonable argument why anybody would suspect him for being mafia for it.

This. I'm assuming that was a joke post from Laine, because otherwise the thoughtprocess of "only scum AJ tries to be helpful" would make no sense at all.

Nothing wrong with this assessment imo. AJ is a very capable player both as Mafia and Town....but not 3rd party as he likes to lynch an un CC'd Doc....lololololol. Sorry brother.

You made 2 nonchalant posts (46 and 50), which i have been criticizing. So your post again is worthless.

Also you have only asked one significant question and i answered that you were leading and it was a WIFOM question with no answer.

The thing about comments like this is I will keep bringing them up and drawing attention to them. In #63 you said that I was attempting to avoid engaging you specifically in #50. When I pointed out that I did engage you, you said that it didn't count because it came after #48. This is not a coherent argument, and when I called you out for it you came back with "your post again is worthless".

And you're willing to accept that #46 might be genuine, in which case I didn't necessarily have a reason to engage you prior to #48.

And the WIFOM discussion ended with me. Is this not a sufficiently "significant" question to merit a response, or did you not see it?:

WIFOM. Its getting invoked seriously early here. Your question is a leading one. It says scum wouldnt do this obviously. But, then a good scum player would do exactly that to appear as town. So if your a reasonably good player the inherent behavior cannot really be judged either way.

Its the tone of the post that i took issue with after all though.

That's an odd way of looking at it. What is the tone aspect that pings you, if the behavior (a low content agreement that a player's intro post is fishy) is null?

And you're voting me for "misrepresentations" that are so blatantly "obvious" that you don't feel the need to tell any of us what they are.

Prior to that last post, you made the post where you voted him and accused him of spinning your questions into a scumread. He replied a few minutes later. You said hi to Thane and then didn't reply to him - or anything else. That made me wonder if you were trying to figure out how to respond, or if you should just let it go.

Reasonable. I was trying to figure out how to respond. It takes me a bit to properly untwist what he's saying. If we're v/v I feel like we're speaking two different languages here.

Pretty content to let that run its course tbh. I'll do my fact checking diligence at another point when I'm not playing straight from my phone so I can easily go back to the post #'s to see what they're referring to, but for now it's serving as a catalyst to activity and will give people checking in something to comment on.

On the note of me being preachy and helpful, I talked early game strat in Belicheat where Laine was a wolf so she definitely knows at the least I would do it as town.

Sort of bugged how she threw mud then backed off immediately when the accusation wasn't even an accurate one.

I think it became a "bad question" when he chose to call it WIFOM and assume I had a 'correct answer' in mind instead of elaborating on his thought process. The WIFOM is whether scum would drop early reads, but that wasn't what I was getting at at all. He dropped the 'fluffing post count' aspect out of the question when he answered. It enabled him to say "a good scum player would do this to look town" while simultaneously calling it out for, in his opinion, looking really scummy.

Basically he answered it as if I asked the question to defend myself. What he does have going for him in the engagement is that he immediately called out WIFOM without explanation and made me prod him to elaborate. It tells me the thought might have come honest rather than being an attempt to smear me. He's generally been focused on interpreting what I say while blowing off most of my direct engagement. I think it's a pretty scummy way to play and definitely doesn't help if he's town considering almost no one here knows his usual style.

Bringing this post up again, why do you think I was asking him how I would act if I was mafia? What makes you immediately interpret the question in that way?
