So we're starting to run out of time and need to figure out who to lynch

My vote is moveable, who does everyone think is the BEST lynch for the day?

 

It isn't so much about "being here for EOD", we need to start making wagons that could actually reach majority now because we know people aren't guaranteed to show up tomorrow

This is what I have been trying to decide, as I've not cast one yet. From what I saw today, Wishleste or Mish are my 50/50, I feel like one of the two is scum. I don't love the idea of voting for Pral, as I can't see a reason I can get behind, and I'm not as sold on Oci as I am on the other two.

Apparently I'm good at posting many posts, but not very memorable this game  Ah well. It could be worse I suppose. 

 

I am feeling very comfortable with Cory/Key this game, and if I'm mistaken, well then that's well played them. 

 

I feel Pral's list was very generic. He had some consensus reads, some simple reads and a couple of reads to which I was left confused. I'm happy with leaving my vote there for now. It is moveable of course, and seeing as EOD is at 6pm my time I should have plenty of time to stop by the thread tomorrow in between work (in the classroom when the kids are working and such ) and also after work. I will be around at EOD. 

 

I probably won't have much time for neither analysis nor real time interaction before then though. I will have more time towards the weekend for both.

Low Hanging Fruit = in Mafia/ww this usually describes players that are poor at the "tone" element of the game and say "scummy things" and in consequence get lynched for not being like everyone else. Sili used to have this problem a lot, but people started reading him better after awhile.

 

Eldrick and Ocicat probably fall into this margin usually (well IDK Ocicat but I get that vibe) and have had ~bouts of pressure this game because of it, afaict. It doesn't necessarily make them villagers, but you aren't lynching them because they are doing anything likely wolfy for them, you are lynching them because you don't like how they post.

 

OFC with that said they are badly at clearing themselves so they are never terrible lynches

A) Yes, PoE is a big deal.

 

B) I know he is not content but his villager content feels different, afaict. He's invested an interested even when he pokes his head in. Here the only time he had a reaction to anything was to me accusing him of missing NAs before (which, afaik, could be legitimately untrue and he could get tickled by it in any role). I talked about this a bunch in my lecture post; specifically I remembered Wind in the Door, which you modded, where he had lapses of absences but made an early Tina = v read and was willing to defend it for the time he was there rather than just mailing in a reads list and leaving.

 

C) I know dice will give me his "volume doesn't matter!" shtick, but I have played 300+ long games and Mafia and REGARDLESS of what you personally believe, there is a discernible and provable trend that the average rate of posting is higher for a villager than a wolf. Consider it the home/away splits of Mafia, it's hard to understand and comprehend, but the statistics say it's real. That's as close to a "universal" Mafia role, and I just prefer lynching ~scummy inactive players to ~scummy active players for the most part because I have more confidence.

 

D) His content coming back in bothered me as well. Specifically his "Oh, Leelou and Cory are voting me. That's nothing new  " bit that seemed to be putting the onus on me and Leelou for "going at inactives" rather than actually caring about why he was being voted.

 

E) I really don't know to explain the massive resistance to his lynch, tbh. AFAICT nobody seems to actually think he's a villager*, but we can't lynch him because "no info" or whatever. Which is fine, I'm willing to compromise.

So yeah I would like to figure this out tonight. I see that Eldrick isnt happening and that it is currently between Pral and Verbal. Im not huge on the idea of lynching someone cause of their inactivity, but this is abit much and I trust Cory on this. For now atleast.

I'm fine with giving him more time to resolve himself or w/e and if we lynch him and he flips villager and I pushed you all into doing it I'll feel horrendously terrible and nobody really wants to live in that world with me.

I'm basically skimming the game - distracted by work and a boy - so I'm not really the best at judging right now, but something looks off about her posts.
